The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Ragnarok: Under New Management (Calling All Baddies)
Ambrose Jaager’s player has been eaten by real life. Never fear, budding baddies, for Ragnarok is here to stay.
The New Set Up OOC, we’re now an “owned by all members” group. We’ll coordinate faction missions through the Plots board. Anyone can suggest ideas and we’ll run with the ones we’re excited for.
IC, missions will be handed down from the mysterious Loki, via NPC Madeline Brass, aka “The Tiger Secretary.”
Our New Direction Explosions are great, but have you ever wondered if there’s more to life?
We’re going to expand on what the Utopia plot has started: missions will take our members global, with a focus on tearing down all the things we loathe in the world. Corrupt cops, bigoted bureaucrats, politicians putrefying in their posts—Ragnarok’s symbol will be the last they see. But is a void any better? Something’s got to fill it, and we’ll be the ones to choose.
This calls for a shake up in our modus operandi. We’re going to work from both ends of the spectrum: while our watch-the-world-burn members will blow up a mutant-hating senator’s home, those who prefer a more delicate touch be out wining-and-dining the opposition, securing their support. (Oldies: think Kabal in the “let’s take over the world for it’s own good” days.)
Come One, Come All We’re open for recruitment. Are you a shadowy operative looking for a fat paycheck? A disgruntled goodie sick of the legal system letting justice slip through the cracks? Do you just want to blow things up, and feel good about it? My friend, we are the group for you.
Want to get recruited? Have a plot idea, or want to pick a fight with the site’s #1 Best Faction? Post here!
Ragnarok: forging new beginnings, one ending at a time. <3
New directions are nice, but it is important to stay true to your roots. To that end, does anyone want to join (or oppose) Calcifer in blowing up some oil fields in Saudi Arabia? Cal would just be a mercenary instead of a true member, but getting paid to burn things in the desert seems tempting enough to bring him back to an active status.

Recruiting? Not sure whether Ragnarok wants a mousey Mutant who can predict the future, but I'm looking forwards to involving James in more of the action.
...uh, oops. My bad. On that note, I think Ambrose could and would conceivably hand off leadership to Madeline because he got bored with Rag (he never really believed in it to begin with; he just realized that claiming a purpose opened more doors than chaos for the sake of chaos did). I'm thinking that his/my absence can be explained by him deciding that he'd quit his job as leader by setting up Rag for the future, in that he spends four months essentially wreaking havoc globally to make things easier for Rag's new goals (which I'm assuming Madeline decides on IC). He might convert a politician in one country, interfere in a civil war in another... whatever helps, essentially. From now on, Madeline will manage all parts of Ragnarok that involve JW resources, and Ambrose will only really be involved with Ragnarok nominally. Sure, he'll wreak some havoc explicitly for Ragnarok's causes if asked politely, but he'll mostly do his own thing. It might be interesting to see how his individual actions can screw up how the new Ragnarok wants itself to be seen (since the public would still believe him to be Ragnarok), and to see how irritated other Rag members can get.
As for my other char, Kirsi, she'd continue to be involved with Ragnarok on a job-by-job basis. And on that note, I think she'd totally be up for a jaunt to Saudi Arabia to burn some oil fields with Cal, if she gets paid. It'd also be entertaining to see Cal and Kirsi trying to work together, because that already seems like a less-than-symbiotic partnership.
Here are some mission ideas anyone can nab. Let's talk about ideas!
Loki has started out texting missions. Also, some missions have been sent out by a mysterious dissenter in the organization, known only as Odin. Eventually, Loki may seek out information on Odin, in order to prevent him from trying to oust control from Loki's hands.
Odin sees many problems Loki has not addressed in his burning goals to have Ragnarok change the world through chaos and disorder. Corruption. Anti-mutant sentiments. Crime. Inaction and lethargy.
1) The X-men have become less active. They need a call to action, in order to shake them up and make them start working together to help make the world a better place. Set fire to the mansion. Loki says so.
Any number of members can do this. X-men should respond to a burning back yard.
2)
Competition.
Maybe if the X-men aren't shaken up by attacks on the mansion, they need to be shown they aren't the only people in town that can make a difference. Odin believes that setting fire to the mansion won't solve their lethargy. Vigilante justice should be meted out in Ragnarok's name. Target criminals and corruption within the police force and government structures. Get yourself a cool costume. Just don't get caught by the police.
What is more chaotic than a villain pretending to be a hero?
Mission opportunities: Many.
3)
Politician involved in drug trafficking. Goes by the name of Henry Westenfluss.
He is involved in working with the Russians to bring drugs into New York through the harbors, and controlling the flow via gangs.
If you want to be subtle, find information about him and air it. Get him out of office.
Find evidence of his criminal ties. Share it with the police. Get him in jail.
Be violent. Vigilante justice. Odin says.
4)
Let's go global. If you've got an idea for something outside of New York, and can mobilize members to be excited about it, let's do that! To quote Panu, "while our watch-the-world-burn members will blow up a mutant-hating senator’s home, those who prefer a more delicate touch be out wining-and-dining the opposition, securing their support." Look outside of New York. Is there a senator that could be swayed to a more pro-mutant stance? A harder take on crime? Is there a politician that needs to be quashed? A reporter than is being hateful, and should be stopped?
Opportunities: Many
5)
Target areas of high population density with funny bombs created by a mutant whose power is the imbue objects with an AOE explosion that causes uncontrollable laughter and euphoria. Cause major disruptions in a non-lethal manner. Loki thinks that the chaos may just cause something positive! Also, while they're distracted, the more violently-inclined people can have some fun.
6) Prison break.
Break mutants out of a mutant-only penitentiary in New York state.
7) Go to Russia. There are lots of reasons right now. Pick one. Cause some trouble to cause chaos for them. Alternatively, make some friendly connections. Go that route to cause problems.
8) Oil fields in Saudi Arabia was a fun idea. Let's go hire Cal to set fire to some oil fields.
9)
Let's get involved with other factions! Haven has some similar goals to us that some inter-faction backroom dealings might benefit from.
I could go on. That's enough ideas for now. If anyone has suggestions for further ideas, list em!
