The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Aura had called the snowman for a meeting. She did not care for the man to much. His ideals ran in conflict with her own. In her eyes he was a dangerous man misleading their people to be set up to be hurt or killed when the Humans turned on them. She knew Sam was not trying to hurt their people but he and his type refused to see the damage they were doing.
The Blue Man hotel was a high class five star hotel with many amenities including a diner. However thanks to a favor Aura has asked the Diner has separated off a room for her so she and her guest could have privacy as well as their own exit.
Aura herself was wearing a deep blue dress, her dyed black hair pierced by streaks of dark indigo. She wore it to fit in on the off chance someone saw her most would never assume the wild pictures of her that made headlines was the same as the woman who sat, sipping a glass of wine. The situation was important and if Sam did not already know, then he needed to. Utopia might not be what it seemed and maybe the snowball could help.

This was going to be an interesting meeting, the last time he saw Aura, Sam and Saph managed to arrest her. He didn’t know how she got lose but she did. Sadly Sam was pretty sure this meeting would result in a similar ending. This time he’d make sure she’d go to jail or he’d have to kill her. She had killed too many kids, lives that couldn’t come back, they’d never grow up and that was something he couldn’t live with. How many times had she killed since they first met?
Sam walked into the room after sending a cold front making sure there would be no surprises waiting for him. Last he had heard she had been higher on the food chain in the order so there was no telling what he should expect. A blue dress was something that he didn’t expect. Silently Sam walked into the room and sat across from Aura. He pulled a flask from his back pocket and took a sip knowing that was the only thing keeping him from attacking her. ”Aura.” was all he had to say wondering why she had called the meeting.
It had been some time since she had seen Cold steel. In fact last time she had wound up in jail and on trial. Aura had openly admitted to over a thousand murders and had been quite direct that she regretted only the mutants that had fallen by her hand and the children. Aura despised killing young kids but it had happened on a few occasions and the biggest was on orders.
To Aura however Cold steel was every bit the monster she was. His leadership of the X-men meant he supported and fostered cooperation with humans which Aura believed got people killed and left them unprepared for what would come in the future.
"Did you know the order is dead?" she said sipping a glass of wine in front of her. "I tried to lead but I'm a solider and have way to much blood on my hands to be a public figure." Aura said simply and while she did not regret the vast majority of her actions she knew she was a monster.
"But even if the order were alive, i would still pass this information to you. I don't like you as much as you don't like me but our people come first. she said looking back at him. She was vulnerable she knew. She had no defense against the cold the man emitted. No she was well a where that with ease cold steel could have dropped the temperature low enough to be fatel and while she did not know the speed he could do this Aura believed it would be fast enough to prevent her from clearing the table had she tried.

Another sip of his whiskey and Sam raised an eyebrow but didn’t act surprised because he wasn’t. Shade had told him for the most part that Aura had taken over and that was pretty much the end of the story of the Order. Some people weren’t meant to lead. Some like Sam didn’t want to but knew that was the difference between saving his team and watching them die. ”I did, and had assumed the case.” Sam said setting his flask down in front of him. His thermal sense still active trying to sense danger.
”The order was dead well before you took hold, even if you were a leader and not a solider you wouldn’t have saved it. Backwards thinking of only violence solves problems.” Sam then waved his hand as if he was dismissing the topic, ”and that’s not entirely true, I never disliked you. Thought you were troubled and needed help. The Killing everyone thing… that was what I didn’t like.” Sam took a swig as he tried to think what information she could have that he didn’t. She got his attention.
”Blue looks good on you.” he said trying to exchange a little pleasantry as he continued, ”What information?”
The idea that cold steel did not despise her was a bit of a surprise for Aura. "A few months back i went to visit Mr. Jaager and we got to talking. My goal was to actually recruit him, powerful mutant business leader like him would do wonders." she said taking a drink considering where to take the conversation next. Why were words do much harder then combat?
"I have met my share of scary and outright crazy people. You more then most are also very awhere of what i myself have done. I can appreciate insanity but that Jaager guy, their's something dark in that ones soul. I did not recruit the guy becuse he is insane. He seems to believe killing everyone is the solution to all our problems. Mutants, Humans, he does not care" she said recalling the conversation she had with the man quite clearly.
"I have no proof but if im not mistaken Utopia if and when created will be a trap. A few million of our people in a city? Be pretty easy to be the hero who decimated our numbers.
She took an angry and bitter look. "A mutant only paradise, it's what i wanted and dreamed of since i was taught to charge automatic weapon emplacements. Finnaly comes and this guys likely to turn it into a twisted parody. With or without you or anyone else i will be going after him." she said still not much caring for the idea such a lunatic would be bringing into being something she had been taught was her goal.
"The monster is also working on a cure for our powers. Just think a man like that? We would have a weaponed form in months after it came out and then how long til the human make it into a bomb that wipes out our powers and leaves them safe? I can not let this pass either. No cure may ever be aloud to be made." she went on clearly rather horrified at the idea of a cure.
"Thanks for the compliment by the way, you don't look bad yourself" Aura said trying to recall the things Roach had taught her. At the time she did not grasp the irony of getting table manners and the like from a giant talking roach man.

”I’ve heard the name before.” Sam said thinking about everything she had said. Her compliment sounded forced so he ignored it. However she did seem sincere about her fear. ”See, I understand that he scares you otherwise you wouldn’t have set up this meeting. However I can’t do anything without proof.” Sam said leaning back in his chair and sipping from his flask.
She had no proof so she just sounded like she was ranting about how someone came in and took power from the Order. Sam thought more on her words before he said anything. The last thing he wanted to do was fight with her. Arrest her sure but fight no. He had no reason too at the moment so he decided to continue to listen to her. ”You remember the joint dreams everyone had a while back? It wasn’t the first time the idea of a mutant only city.” even if she didn’t remember she would have heard about it.
”If this guy wants to create Utopia I don’t see the harm in it however if he did end up wiping out the city… that I’d have an issue with. You can attest I don’t like people dying for no reason.” he sipped his whiskey again. ”Didn’t your crew create haywire?” Sam asked raising an eyebrow. The hypocrisy Sam was witnessing caused him to smirk, ”The order found a way increase mutant powers and make them go out of control but someone comes up with a cure you have an issue with that?”
”Keep in mind while we are good with our powers there are some that aren’t.” the room got a little bit colder. ”Now… said you worked for this guy and gathered some proof. See I could get behind that I know I can get some people to help me help you.” Sam said thinking more about it. The last thing he wanted was to team up and work with Aura however like he said, he believed she was terrified and if she was willing to call a meeting with Sam then there was a reason.
She did lack proof, their was no doubt on that. She had not brought a recording device with her and so could offer nothing substantial. "That's fair, i can offer nothing proof wise. I was not expecting to find a monster when i went recruiting. she said honestly. Aura knew he could do something if he wanted to, but he kept himself on a human leash.
She shudderd when she considered the future dream. She recalled it well, to well, it was one of her many nightmares that had run through her sleep. ."Can you imagine my shame in knowing our people had lost so much and i was was alive and well? To fail our people so badly and still live? Their is greater shame then that." she said. She could only hope she would not be so pathetic in this world.
"I know you can't do much without proof but i figure some of your people will go to utopia and while there i figure they can keep an ear out for anything that might offer proof to my words. she said considering the rest of what he said before replying.
"Orders are orders, even suicidal ones. Orders must be followed regardless of our own personal feelings or weather we agree with them or not. " she recited easily from memory. "I have defied that order only once. Two hundred people dead because I could not not kill my best friend. He gave the humans our location and i watched everyone i cared about die in a hail of screams automatic weapon rounds and mortar shells." she said taking a sip of her wine. "I never cared for haywire, it harmed mutants but those were the orders passed down. But those were my orders then and had i defied them the Lord of Souls would have exacted a higher price. she said with a shrug but mentioning the incident in the woods brought a said look to her face that revealed how haunted Aura truly was.
"You might be right, the cure would certainly help some of our more dangerous friends. I have fought all my life so maybe that is why i can only see such a thing leading to a weapon. I feel for our people but allowing a cure is simply to dangerous so long as humans live. For Aura losing onces powers was like death. Their simply would be no reason to live.
"I will get you your proof if i can, even if it means the Lord of souls finally collects my spirit. I would welcome His embrace but i know the more i can do while im alive, the less chance others will need to get their hands so stained. No one should need to have the amount of blood on their hands that are on mine" she said simply. she had told Cold steel what she knew and what he did from here was his business, she could only hope he chose his peoples future.

The ice mancer sipped his whiskey again as Aura tried to explain he thoughts about the camps and other things. Sam recalled Aura had some kind of religion he just could never find out what it was due to the fact that there were so many shrines in the warehouse that she was arrested in. He ignored he comment about her lord of souls. ”I can’t say who is going but it might do some good to send someone.” Shade’s name made the most sense to Sam he was a criminal and had more experience sneaking around than half of the X-Men combined.
Sam nodded his head and finished his drink then set the class back on the table and pushed himself up from his table. He pulled a card from his wallet and threw it on the table. ”You get your proof then call me. If you kill again though and I find out about it.” the room got very cold for a brief moment then he smiled. ”You’ll have another lord of souls to answer to.” he was really tired with anyone who had order affiliations getting away with murder when the murders were so public. Sam should have killed her there for the orphanage she slaughtered but he didn’t. Sam would probably regret that later.
Walking towards the exit of the room Sam looked back to Aura, ”Even soldiers can become leaders, they just need to think for themselves.” Sam smirked again and left.
