It was pleasing to hear that she may be returning to school sooner rather than later if the detective's contact helps out. She was unlikely to be able to move on with her life if she didn't complete secondary education of some kind. "Which school is it?" Rachael asked, eager to search the internet for information regarding it at the next opportunity. There was also the issue of how America's school year operated, it was from like August to may or something. Why did they have to make it so bizarre, didn't February to December like Australia make much more sense.

As for the combat she'd be learning it was somewhat reassuring that the detective knew less direct styles but honestly Rachael felt more comfortable running away, running was something she could do. "Yeah, I think the best thing for me to do is just run. I suppose that's not always possible though. Next best thing would be to make sure they can't chase me then run right? Like hurt their legs?

"It is a school for mutants, like yourself, called Xavier's. They're where the X-Men tend to recruit from. I'd have to do some discussion with a few of my contacts there, particularly considering your circumstances, but they tend to ask fewer questions in that regard." Linely responded. It really was strange to have a 15 year old so excited about school.

"Running away is often a good option if you have it, but I would go for more vulnerable parts than the legs, particularly if it's a man chasing you. Not many guys can chase after someone after that I can tell you. Certain parts of the leg are vulnerable as well." She was very innocent still, despite her background.

"It's probably best that I make your training holistic though, as there will be times when even that won't work." Sometimes all you could really do was fight. It wasn't pretty but it had to be done.
