The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Abby stopped screaming as soon as Astrid agreed to put her down. She waited as patiently she could while being held upside down. The winged girl moved towards a nearby building and dropped her.
Abby yelped as she fell the last few feet. She had saved her head from injury with her hands, but now her arms hurt like she had been treading water with them for hours. Abby rolled over, flipped the skirt of her dress over her legs and glared at Astrid. "What is your problem?"

Astrid huffed as she landed a few feet in front of the girl. How could anyone scream that loud? How was her mouth even able to open wide enough for the horrid noises to escape? It didn't make logical sense.
"You problem," Astrid growled at the little girl. "Try be nice," she shook her head. All she had wanted to do was help her, and now she was here. Getting her eardrums blasted.
"Now you stuck," she pointed out to the girl. She seriously considered just leaving her there, on top of the huge building to fall off or just die from the natural elements. She was going to give her one more chance, though. After all, she had wasted an entire afternoon on her.

Abby stood up as Astrid called her a problem. Ha. She wasn't the one that kidnapped, stole, and threatened over the course of a single afternoon. "If that's what you call nice, I don't wanna see your mean."
>>"Now you stuck."
Abby glared up at the French girl before she looked around, double checking for the roof access door. Turning back to the winged girl, she pointed to the door at the other end of the roof. "You do know that most buildings over three floors have roof access, right? Plus fire-escapes most of the time." With her point made, she crossed her arms to see what the older girl would do.

Ugh, logic.
Why did the little harpy have to go around and bring logic into a perfectly good cornering? Astrid could feel the anger bubbling up inside of her as she glared at the tiny blonde girl. How could something so small make her feel so inferior?
Astrid swung her newly crystallized wings around in a circle and let a row fly in the direction of the roof access door. They went sort of where she had intended, to her delighted surprise. The last three embedded themselves into the soft metal of the door, while the others went into the surrounding concrete or missed entirely and flew off of the roof altogether.
One precious crystal, though, landed smack dab between the door and the concrete, wedging it shut. Astrid smirked at the sight. She put her hands on her hips and shifted the majority of her weight to one leg as she gave the little girl the sassiest pose possible.

Abby was kinda impressed with crystals that went flying. At least until most of them missed the door, which Abby figured was the target. But one did manage to pin the door shut.
>>"I fast, too."
She raised her eyebrows at the older girl. "Not very accurate," she commented, motioning to the majority of the crystals, which were stuck in the roof and not the door.

>>"No, but still hit. And do more than you."
Abby glared at the black haired, black eyed girl. She didn't like what she was saying. Instead of continuing the battle of words, the little blonde turned slightly towards where she saw the fire-escape for the building. She was done dealing with this winged girl. And to think, Abby was going to learn French so she could talk to her better. Not now. "See ya," she called over her shoulder.

Astrid huffed as the harpy ran away. It was difficult to say that she was sad to see her go, especially since the sass the little girl had given her left a sour taste in her mouth. She decided that it was a better idea to let her go than to chase after her. It was a win-win. She would never ever have to speak to the harpy again.
Hopefully.
<Hope you trip on your way down!> Astrid yelled in French, followed by some choice words that the twelve year old would probably not understand.
