I am completley all for this plot. I have ideas already, I think it would b a good transition from the camp plot. And even though the mutants may know it's not real in the back of their minds- because of the camp situation nobody wants to relive those memories... so they embrace the dream.
So this is sort of like a what if plotline? Like its not a definte future.
Oh and I got an Idea for the scientest that is screwing with everyone. Also I have an NPC in my head that creates horrible nightmares if yall would like that thrown into the mix.
this would a very intersting plot, I'm all for it, But how far in the future would we go? and could there be one person who could remember everything from the past?
Yeah guys,come on aboard. The plot will be set 10-15 yrs in the future. Also yes,this isnt gonna be your charcthers future,unless you choose to. Also, I really dont want to make this a big bad guy plot. I'm leaning toward someone showing us what could happen. And whether we change it or not is our choice. Yes we will be in the bodies of our future self but in the end we remmeber eveything. Hope that clears things up. Also..i'm not saying this guy is jolly good. Messing with people'sw mind s is dangerous but, whether it's for his own intentions..we may never know

hmm, so here's an idea (which is sorta cobbled together from what I've read so far):
A powerful mutant with the ability to see into the future sees something really bad happening (apocalyptic-type bad, I havn't got a lot of ideas on details except the possibility of a mutant-war....) and so decides to stop it. He does so by thrusting all people with active x-genes (or more specific, whatever) into the future, where they originally just have 'future memories', but have a nagging feeling that something is just plain wrong. As they get nearer to the 'really bad thing', they gradually regain their memories, and (this is all my ideas now) they stop the really bad thing from happening (maybe it was a time-travelling mutant who needed to be stopped?) and then they all get thrown back to the past, but with the memories of the entire plot. That way, if they like the way their life turned out, they continue as they were, but if they didn't then it's a chance to change their ways before it's too late.

Shogun, that seems to be a culmination of a lot of ideas posted so far. My only dislike about it is sorta what Dream said about not wanting it to be a bad guy plot thing. So I could see the guy who sees the future whatnot, but not having to stop someone.
My other comment is a general one. I'm voting for 15 years into the future.
I..agree with Kaz maybe no baddies is good. But could this possibly be not a plot but in the fanfic section but we treat it as if it happened in the normal timeline? I dont know, It just seems more fitting thier to me and so people can continue posts outside of it and it wont be a mass plot but a mass post
I'm voting for closer to 10 years. Eleven sounds fine.
I'm definitely all-for the "no bad guy to fight" thing--I'm most interested in interacting with other peoples' characters in this future plot, so I'd be interested in "life as usual" threads much more than "building up to a fight scene" posts.
And I think a mass thread would get hideously long and confusing. At the same time, it would be good (especially for newbs who join the site during this plot line) if we could keep posting in the present time. Would it be possible to get a set of boards that could be dedicated to this plotline, so we could post in those? Maybe just a few general ones, like "Mansion", "Sanctuary", "Kabal", "New York", "Elsewhere", or some such. Nothin' fancy; just somewhere collected to put the future threads.
yeah,thats cool with me. I'm just hoping its a main plot thread. Also, we can just label a threads pt of future. Also if you think about it. It may seem like were in the future for days,but really its just a single day. So really you could have so many prepost, and it wouldnt matter what happened. you guys get what i'm saying?
I know you want it to be a main plot but it will be but I just feel it would be better if it was over on the side and not in the main post area.
It will be a main plot but since like you said the plot only lasts for one day real time then as soon as the plot is done it will be the shortest main plot ever. We could do it as a main plot it is very possible But I just think it would be best as a bit of a mix between a main and side plot.
Well, I like it as a main plot, because it affects everyone. Also because like I said it feels like a long time,even though it's not. meaning, it could be long. I just really like it as a main plot.
