CharacterPersonality: Because of what happened to her Danica has a number of psychological disorders. Bi-polar, chronic depression, paranoia, to name a few. One minute she can be a kind, sweet woman, and a raging psychopathy the next. Contrary to popular belief she doesn't have multiple personalities, just massive and sudden mood swings. Sometimes she shows guilt and remorse when people get hurt, other times she just doesn't care.

MutationsMutation description:Danica's abilities allow her to channel kinetic energy though her body. This ability can manifest itself in a variety of ways. This energy can be projected through the eyes and hands in the form of what appear to be orange beams, as well as the lower body allowing for short bursts resulting in a quick surge of movement. The nature of this ability allows Danica to take the kinetic energy from the smallest bit of physical motion, combine it with the large quantities of energy produced by her cells, amplify it to considerable levels, then expel it from the body with substantial force.
Strengths:Hand/Eye Beams: These attacks appear in the form of orange beams. Most people who have been on the receiving end of this attack, have described a short burst as feeling like one is hit by a sledgehammer. Unprepared people are often knocked onto their back, though a few having seen it coming have been struck and stood their ground. The sustained blast is more powerful and can smash through wood and stone walls, even ½ inch steel can be breached by it. This attack is also capable of bruising, as well as fracturing and breaking bones if one is exposed to it long enough.
Range: 30 ft.
Duration: 5 seconds for a sustained blast
Usage: Roughly 24 times (burst), 6 times (sustained)
Weakness: Objects of sufficient density can resist the blast (½ inch steel takes a full sustain blast)
Burnout: This ability begins to manifest a back blast that can injure Danica if used excessively.
Jump Jet: By expelling energy from the lower half of her body Danica can blast in a particular direction briefly. This ability can also dispel the momentum of a fall that could otherwise injure or kill. Although the impact can injure Danica, she can also use this to act like a physical battering ram. The energy expelled from her legs is done automatically in equal proportions to ensure a level blast. However this causes a substantial push because of the sudden explosive nature, unlike the hand/eye attacks which are weaker, but result in a less violent expulsion. This ability can also knock down anyone within a three foot radius of Danica if they're not prepared, however it doesn't cause actual injury.

Weaknesses and Limitations:Core Dump: Danica's abilities have no off switch in that her cells continue to generate energy. Once they reach critical the cells will dump everything in one massive blast to prevent physical damage. Once this occurs her body experiences a temporary burnout, as a result her abilities will remain dormant for 2-5 days before slowly reappearing. This can be averted through use of abilities to act as a drain, but Danica has no way of knowing when this will happen until it begins, then it's too late to stop.
For those select few who have witnessed a core dump it appears as an omnidirection blast (bubble blast) with Danica at the epicenter, which is roughly ten feet in diameter. Afterwards the toll of a core dump renders her barely able to more, or entirely unconscious. Either way she's down for the count for almost 24 hours.
Immunity: Because of the nature of her abilities, Danica isn't immune to her own projections.
Energy Arcs: Sometimes small arcs of energy will appear, though relatively harmless it makes it hard for Danica to hide what she is. She can't control this.
Backlash: If Danica uses her abilities excessively the kinetic energy will cause small shock waves at the point of origin. This can cause Danica injury including broken bones, or worse.
Physical AbilitiesGeneral Physical Capabilities: Danica's physical abilities are fairly poor compared to others. Because of her dwarfism she is slower afoot, has less muscle mass making her weaker, and fairs poorly in physical confrontations in general. The one thing going for her is good reflexes, while she may not so much be fast in terms of speed, she's quick on reactions.
Fighting Style: Self-taught deception.
Fighting Style Pros/Cons: Because of her lack of size and strength Danica has been forced to defend herself in some rather unique ways. Normally she carries a .22 caliber pistol for protection. If that doesn't work and someone is able to get close, she'll eject a two inch blade mounted to a wrist sheath, and can usually stab someone 2-3 times before they realize it. Sometimes when hit she feigns unconsciousness, then when the person grabs her she stabs them.
This isn't a disciplined fighting style and in an all out physical brawl she can be easily overpowered. Also due to lack of experience in combat she can't take much abuse. One of two solid hits to the head and she will be out like a light.
History Of Your CharacterOriginally a normal human Danica was born in Boston, Massachusetts, though her parents moved shortly after that. As a child Danica enjoyed a fairly normal life with a mother who stayed home, and a father who ran his own construction business. Coming from a well received middle-class family her life was quite normal for several years. Making friends easily, most afternoons were spent playing outside after school and life was good. Like some children she had a penchant for mischief, but never anything serious or dangerous. It wasn't until the age of thirteen that her height started to become an issue.
At first Danica's parents just thought she was short for her age. Then as the years passed and she still didn't grow, a visit to the doctor, and subsequent tests, resulted in a diagnosis of dwarfism at the age of seventeen. Although it was hard to deal with at first, supportive friends and family helped her get through the shock. In time Danica became a fun-loving and lively young woman who was self-confident once more. After high school she went to college and received a two-year degree in secretarial science. This was originally intended to be a place holder and decent job until she could decide on a career.
One day while leaving work a young man asked her for directions. When Danica turned to speak with him a van screeched to a stop a short distance away, and three men in black ski-masks pulled her into the vehicle. Taken to an unknown location and locked in a cell with no window, she was physically and mentally abused while being experimented on. For nearly a month she was subjected to horrific treatment at the hands of parties unknown as they attempted to artificially activate a latent mutant gene that was never meant to be activated in the first place. On the final day of testing the shadow group actually succeeded, only to have Danica's powers surge out of control.
Because of this, along with everything else that happened, she lost consciousness. Upon waking up Danica found herself laying in a field, behind her was a massive crater in the ground where the facility had once been and more than two dozen bodies littering the area. A complete mental train wreck not only from what happened, but now possessing powers that she never wanted in the first place, Danica barricaded herself in her apartment until losing her job, car, and place to live. Now she lives with her parents and is trying to figure out how to deal with everything that's happened.

Sample RP: Seated in a bar in the city, Danica listened to the low music playing in the background while slowly nursing her second beer. The lighting was dim and there weren't many people here as it was the middle of the afternoon. It had taken a bit of effort for her to climb onto the stool and with both elbows propped on the old wooden bar she was hating life in general. A few neon signs flickered and the old juke box continued to churn out a 70s song. The portly older man behind the bar cleaned some glasses quietly and very little seemed to be happening. Along with a few other people minding their own business the atmosphere was quite sedate.
For her part Danica likely looked out of place here, the bar was a local haunt that was frequented by everyday people. Not those dressed in a nice black suit and skirt as she was. With the second beer finished Danica was about to order a shot of whiskey when the door to the bar opened and three young men walked in, dressed in plain clothes with tattered jean jackets they were a little too exuberant for the setting. Making their way through the scattering of tables and chairs in the room, all three landed at the bar in short order. Laughing and joking they all called for beers, with two on one side of Danica and one on the other. Their close proximity was already making her uncomfortable when one of them seemed to finally take noticed of her. The young man was possessed of short chestnut hair that was in serious need of combing, and a slender face with an overly large nose. His slender mouth parted in a smile to reveal slight bucked teeth and he leaned closer.
“Well hello gorgeous,” the man said. That was enough to make Danica want to throw up, he wasn't even close to handsome. Had they been the last two people on Earth she would have let the human race die out before repopulating with him.
“Piss off,” Danica said.
“Aw come on now little lady, is that any way to greet the man of your dreams?” the man said.
“When I meet him I'll let you know,” Danica said. The man's two others friends snickered at the response, and his expression turned rather sour. His displeasure was something Danica could have cared less about and she swiveled on the stool with the intention of leaving, when the man grabbed her by the arm. That caused her to visibly stiffen.
“Let go of me...” Danica said.
“Not until I get a kiss sweetheart,” the man said. When he started to lean in she looked over and an arc of orange energy crackled across both eyes. The juke box exploded into a shower of plastic and glass as a beam of energy hurled him across the room. One of the other men jumped back saying something about mutant freak and started to pull a pistol out of his waistband. Danica merely looked over and raised a hand blasting him through the front door.
“Anyone else want a kiss?” Danica said, glancing around the room. The other people took off running and walking outside she knew the police wouldn't be far behind. Locating a nearby building she had to focus for a moment to force energy into the lower half of her body. With a small 'thump' Danica launched into the air landing on the flat roof and began to look around to other places to move to.
