Times were certainly changing. Sara was sure that it was time for herself to change as well, but old habits die hard. So Sara found herself out for a walk.
The neighbor hood that she'd chosen to take a walk in had obviously seen better times. The buildings were tall with fancy shingle work and porches with pillars. Most of the houses were abandoned either recently with eviction notices taped to pealing paint and stained windows, or worst... Condemed. Clearly the property of the slumlords from hell. From the chipping lead paint on the old siding, to the crab grass, to the sun baked men sitting in front of one of the houses with their rusty bikes, smoking. One of them picking at a ukulele. Making Sara's head tilt to the side. Who in their rightful mind still played a ukulele?
It was the type of neighbor hood that a woman wouldn't want to walk alone in. That someone wouldn't want to walk down the street without looking behind her back and yet Sara found herself at home. Sure there were still groups of people here who weren't mutant friendly, but that didn't stop Sara from taking a walk with the hood of her sweatshirt down.

Aura walked down the street wishing it was warmer, the wind she could do something about but the cold was annoying. She watched a trio of dogs runs across the street, seemingly wild. She had no idea why she was not at Sanctuary, why she not gone back yet. The order likely knew of her return, from the news headlines shortly after her arrival back in New York. Still She was not ready to return quite yet.
A few random people had glanced her way but none had approached. She had no idea where she was actually going though she knew the area well, she had no actual destination. With a soft sigh, her aura appeared around her hand forming a dagger like weapon, with one swipe she took out several feet of chest high grass from the sidewalk, a second swipe widened the arc by a few feet. She was frustrated and it was pushing her to make poor choices, such as killing a half dozen police or so.
Then she noticed something that took her mind of her troubles for a moment. A woman and a cat at that. A mutant obviously and a highly visible one at that. Aura smiled and hoped her reputation did not proceed her. Letting a thin coating of her aura coated her body as she began making her way to the other mutant. Aura meant it not in a hostile way but rather considered the gesture fair, i see you and you see me. It was only fair. With a wave she called out to the other mutant. "Hello, my friend, my Name is Aura. she said gl;anceing around as she heard a door shot somewhere.
