The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

He'd been so impressed to find actual expired pickles, he'd nearly forgotten why he was here.
To torture poor Tses?
A little. He enjoyed her fear of him. Something about the rush of lending someone so dangerous such a sense of terror gave him quite a buzz. While pleasure was a perk, he was here mostly for business.
"Ty, my boy, You're breaking my aortic arches. Gone for so long, and the first thing you say when you see me alive and well is 'what's up?'" reached down to the orange juice, and placed the carton on his head, using his antennae to hold in in place as he reached down to grasp the jar of pickles. A small fountain of old orange juice ran out as he leaned down.
He then grabbed the glass, and poured it into the pickle jar, shaking it about like a cocktail as he spoke. "When last we spoke, I made you and offer. I admit, there were... extenuating circumstances... I died for a while, you went into a convenient coma. I thought it... appropriate we talked."

Tses had half a mind to throw an explosive right in that jar of pickles. Still in light form, she pulled herself free of the couch and sulked to the back corner of the apartment. She didn't want anything to do with that...thing. He was a special sort of crazy, and she hated that Ty still worked for him. She would never admit she was scared of it.
She fished for her CD player and did her best to ignore them all for now. She was childish like that. If she couldn't make him go away, she could just ignore him, and that would solve everything, right? Right. At least that's what she told herself. Good plan, right?

Ty's eye glanced back to check on Tses out of instinct. She wasn't quite herself when Roach was in the picture, and honestly...he didn't like it. But Roach wasn't the kind of employer he could just tell to shove the job and then go about his life. That, and there was something deeper than just business with Roach. Ty hated to admit it sometimes, but Roach was the reason Ty was the man he was at that point, for the most part.
He shrugged. "All I could think of to say. Doesn't feel like I've been out for three months; life just...goes on. But yeah, I sort of figured that's why you were here. So...what's on your mind?" he asked, just sort of laying it all on the table.

Roach was shaking his cocktail still as Ty went on. As the ginger glanced over his shoulder to Tses, he turned as well. Compound eyes lingered as he went on.
He finally turned back to Ty as he asked what was on his mind. Mandibles clicked slowly, and he popped oped the pickle jar to take a long sip, placing it on the counter afterward.
"The same deal stands. You..." He pointed at Ty, and then reached up behind himself and pointed at Tses. "and her... You both work for me. I give you what you need, as I have thus far, and you both have my protection. Should it please you, you could even live even more comfortably than you do now. I feel I've given you enough time to think it through. At first, I thought that woman a bad influence on you, though I have come to the realization that I wasn't giving you enough credit. Perhaps you can be a good influence on her. That considered, I simply cannot make an investment on her without expecting a return, and her abilities would be quite useful to me."

It was one thing to have a giant cockroach in her kitchen, it was another when it started talking about her like she was now under his employment or something. Employment, if it could be called that. Her headphones weren't quite loud enough to tune out what the cockroach said, and her gaze focused on them stoicly, emotions shifting from fear to anger.
She opened her mouth to argue, then shut it again. Her light form flickered momentarily back to life as she did, then faded. She resisted sitting just in case. It was unbecoming to go falling through the furniture.

Enough time? Ty spent most of 'that time' in a coma. But like he'd said himself: life goes on. It was just fine when it was Ty and Ty alone under Roach's control, but now...it was different. And for some reason Ty never saw this biting him in the rear end, so to speak. He looked back to Tses, and her face said it all.
"Not like we have much of a choice, eh?" He asked with a small shrug. He was looking at Roach, but his remark was more or less to her. He tried to keep his face as straight as possible, not giving any indication that he may have been having second thoughts, because well it was too late for that.
