The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Kiva 'Drake' Augillard has come back to New York and the Mansion after her (and my) absence. She's eager to get back to her semi-normal life...which of course means I want to have her meet new people and shake things up for her rather than letting her slip back into that normalcy.
Anyone who I had threads with before I went on hiatus, let me know if you'd like to continue them, because I'd certainly be happy to.
Also, anyone want to meet/hang out with the big, biker chick artist with scaly skin now that she's back in town? Kiva's a big softie overall and is very nice (though snark at or insult her and she'll give as good as she gets) regardless if you're human or mutant, visible or otherwise. Appearances mean next to nothing to her, and she's not easily intimidated by imposing-looking mutations as a result.
There's a few avenues for her to come across people:
-Making the Mansion home, Kiva can often be seen lounging around in the living room or on the grounds. Or grabbing a snack from the kitchen. She's usually either exercising or has her sketchbook with her. She's got a soft spot regarding kids and so is particularly good-natured and patient regarding the students there.
-Kiva works as a tattoo artist at a place called Rex's Tattoos, that's known for its mutant-friendliness. Want your character to get a tattoo? She's happy to give them one.
-Kiva hangs around in public parks on the occasions that she wants to draw nature and the Mansion grounds aren't giving her any inspiration. She tries to find more out-of-the-way spots, but doesn't generally mind being interrupted.
-Kiva works out in a boxing gym sometimes. If you're the type to hang around there as well, it's a little hard not to miss a girl with scales and wings beating on a punching bag.
-While not generally a 'night life' type, every once and while she can be found in a mutant-friendly bar sipping a drink, and someone with enough enthusiasm may yet convince her to hang out for a proper night on the town if she takes a liking to them.
-Kiva sometimes just likes to take a walk or a ride on her motorcycle in a bout of restlessness, and can end up nearly anywhere in the city as a result.

Mariamariamariamaria.
Yes. Maria (my second, colourful rainbow ex-surfer girl and crystal Ender's younger but better sister) would like to meet Kiva. She's going to hang around the mansion a bit until she runs into her brother but she totally loves meeting new people. And she would love either more tattoos or to pubcrawl with cool people. Possibly both.
Also, the thread with Aiden stalled but if you're interested they could meet up again. He's a bit more socially confident now, is an x-trainee, and yeah. Stuff.
Amber has encountered a dragon mutant in the past and it might be interesting for her to encounter another. She's the resident zombiesaur shifter and as such has a special fondness for draconic types. She lives at Sanctuary although she has some history with the Mansion. She can be found nearly anywhere when the sun's down although is not nearly as likely to be in highly populated places as a walking corpse is a little hard to miss. During the daylight, she is normally not found outside unless in a non-human form due to extreme sunlight sensitivity.

Heehee. Kiva would think Maria was great fun. Talking her into pub crawling wouldn't be too difficult, and all she'd need was a glimpse or mention of Maria's current ink to bring up the fact that she's an artist and Maria should totally head to Rex's and ask for her if she ever wants any more. Kiva tends to be very enthusiastic about her job.
Coming across Aiden again could be nice, too. Kiva would probably only vaguely recognize him at first, but would be as friendly as ever.

Meeting Amber could be fairly interesting. Kiva has a bit of a soft spot for shape-changers, and hasn't come across mutants with undeath-related mutations before; I think it's one of the few things that would get a bit of a double-take from her at first. But only at first.
I could probably get Kiva out at night somewhere less crowded. I could see her maybe having been in a park sketching, and simply lost track of time, so it's dark by the time she's on her way back to the Mansion?

I noticed Kiva and Paige's conversation regarding the washing machine incident (It was very funny, by the way). Interested in her hearing Clyde's side of the story?
*facepalms at self* Make a 'I'm back and want to play' thread and then vanish on people...Sorry, everybody. I still want to play, really! Real life just decided to yank me away for a bit, there.
I think Kiva talking to Clyde would be quite entertaining. I'm not sure how much she'll listen to him, since she's pretty stubborn like that, but the mental image of her arguing with Clyde seems amusing to be. So, sure!

Yup. Kiva hangs around the Mansion a lot, so that's where they'd be most likely to come across one another. As for a specific location/scenario within the Mansion, if we wanted to make sure the whole washing machine incident was closer to the front of their minds than usual, and thus more likely to come up in the first place, the idea of them both doing laundry at the time occurred to me. What do you think?
