The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Michael and Daria appeared in front of the hotel they were staying at, an impressive building that towered over the streets of Columbus. People were walking all around them, but Michael's power deflected their attention, so that anyone who saw them appear didn't think anything of it.
Checking that they had all their bags and all their limbs, Mike smiled at Daria. "Honey, we're home."

Daria stared up at the building, her ears going back as her head went back.
".....WOW...." she said. She quickly double checked to make sure her tail was still attached, embarassed that she didn't have that much faith in herself. "I never knew Ohio could be this glamorous." she joked.

Daria grinned and nodded. "We shall, indeed" she said as they walked into the hotel. The lobby was filled with hues of gold and red. Velvet, wine red curtains matched the plush rugs and cushions on the sofas. A huge golden chandelier hung from the ceiling. People and bell hops rushed to and fro, the place was so busy-Daria just wanted to sit right in the middle and draw it all-but she decided there was a time and place for everything.
She followed Mike eagerly as they approached the front desk.
Michael walked up to the front desk, giving a cold look to the man behind it who was apparently dubious about people as young as they were coming into his hotel.
"Can I help you?" he asked, in a voice that told Mike that he seriously doubted that he could help them.
Michael just tossed his credit card onto the counter. "Reservation for Asters, the Ambassador Suite," he said simply, his expression not wavering.
The clerk's manners, however, immediately changed. "Ah, Mr. Asters! I'm sorry, we were expecting-"
"My Grandfather, probably," Michael finished for him. The clerk's ingratiating smile didn't waver, though he did turn slightly pale. He swiped Michael's credit card and waved for a bellhop.
"Your room is already ready, sir! Just follow Edward, he'll take you there. And if either of you need anything, please just call us."
Michael couldn't help but smirk as he walked away with Daria, once the clerk couldn't see him. "Because don't you know," he said quietly, "People under thirty NEVER have any money."

Daria giggled.
"You kill me!" she said. "But yeah, I hate that. I was shopping in L.A one time..the last time I ever spent a large amount of money...and i came across a jerk like him. I wasn't nearly as composed, though, and kicked out of the store for...well, I got kicked out." she concluded.
People were giving her stares because she was wearing a long hooded sweater to hide her tail and ears. She focused her eyes downward because she didn't want anyone to see her cat-like pupils. In her haste she'd forgotten her trusty shades.
Michael peeked over the tops of his shades, his eyes glowing blue, at the people in question. Instantly, they all seemed to forget about the two mutants.
"Sorry, I forgot to start blocking us out again," he said. "People here won't do anything to us but stare, but frankly even that pisses me off."
As he spoke, he took off his shades and handed them to Daria. "They won't help you much inside, but they might be nice when we go out."

Daria smiled and took them. "you can remind me to pick up a new pair when we get someplace. Iwould just go back to the mansion and get one of mine but.." She trailed off. She wasn't in the best shape to make the trip again.
"Yes, well I'm trying to decide which stare I hate more. The one I used to get from guys who wanted to talk to me or the one that says 'Freak' " she laughed slightly.

Daria started laughing, holding it in at first before she remembered no one was paying her anyattention besides Mike. She then laughed a little louder.
"Yeah, I see your point."
Their escort led them to an elevator and they emerged on a high floor, whose hall was decorated with a long persian rug. At the end of the hall were two large golden doors that reached the ceiling. Daira's eyes widened again.
"Welcome, my dear, to the Ambassador's Suite," Mike said, opening the doors.
The suite had three rooms, all of them rather elegantly furnished. The main room was more like a living room than a hotel room, with a mini bar off to the side, enough furniture to entertain a moderatly-sized family, and an equally ridiculously sized bathroom attached to it. At the end were two bedrooms, each boasting a king-sized bed and their own small living area.
Yes, as Mike had known, this would put a large dent in his bank account. It was mostly to please Daria, but he'd be lying if he said it wasn't slightly to rub it in his father's face that he was getting an inheritance when his father wasn't.

Once again Daria was speechless. The room was so fancy. She had traveled alot but, sadly, the accomodations that went along with those trips were meager and secretive. She went around the room touching everything in sight her tail swishing in glee.
Finally, after debating with herself as to whether it was even worth it to mention the situation, she turned to Mike. "Um...we have two bedrooms."

Daria kept his gaze and spoke. "Yeah. I remember you said that. And you know what I'm uncomfortable with?" she asked. "Sleeping in a bed without you, when I could sleep in a bed with you!" she said grabbing him to the bed room on the right. She began to unpack her suitcase without waiting for a response from him.
