Oh yeah, that sure does describe me. *Del says rolling her eyes and hiking up both the babies on her hips.* I know some view it as archaic, but two people promising to stick through thick and thin it is appealing to me, screw how people view it. All that matters is how I feel about it, right.
Yep, and I can't seem to tell him that, so there in lies the rub. *Del elequently points out her ironic situation.* At this point the situation is my own fault, and I defend my inability by saying I am fine with how things are.
"What is his problem? I mean, you're an empath, right? You should know.... I could- I could try and find out, if you like. If you don't know that is." She offers, hesitently.
No, don't invade his privacy, he'll tell me one day . . . hopefully. All I know is his family really fucked him up. I mean he won't even talk about them. He won't admit he has parents and he has a sister . . . he won't acknowledge any relationship to her. *Del says trying to explain Siren to Katie.*
Katie thinks. "I... don't really understand how one can pretend not to have parents but... if you're trying to... I dunno- make.... Hm. How have you aproached it in the past?" Her telepathy is rather uncontrolable, and she's scaning the top layer of Delphi's thoughts, even though she'd rather not.
The wrong way. *Del says instantly, recalling the last few arguments they have had and how his family ends up in the discussion.* Like I said I don't like ruining happy moments, but salt in the wound . . . that I can do. Mostly because when he irritates me I want to irratate him right back. Not very adult huh?
She chuckles lightly. "Yes, well.... You're only what- 20? Even if you do have three kids, you've still got some growing to do. So does he, if you ask me." She snorts, smiling slightly. She looks down at the baby she's carrying- Harmony. "Well. At least the kids like him."
Of course they do, he adores them too. In some ways the kids help, forcing us to work things out-not that this was intentional. I though we were doing a good job of avoiding this scenario. *Del says shaking her head in a 'there is nothing I can do about it now' kind of way.*
*Del catches Katie's embarrasment and recalls her last thoughs, and smiles a little.* Hazard of your powers? *Del asks, she has had her own power related issues.* Oh dear, you're probably seen lots of that from everyone . . . I'm so sorry.
"Oh well- It can't be as bad as what you've got.... I mean you can feel- feel it when people are.... turned on, right? That's got to be awkward, right?"
*Del smiles and laughs a little,* Ocassionally I hit on a guy who desperatly wants to hit on me, and I am not attracted to him at all. It has also proved for some intresting moments in life. *Del says shrugging.*
