The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

It was a relatively nice looking church. No one mentioned what happened inside, and attendance was by invitation. The Pristine looking building hid the darker nature of those within. Sitting next to the door unseen was a guard, who played on his iphone, the door was locked, so he assumed he would hear whoever might show up, but no one ever did. Aura took her eyes disdainfully from the man who, like the others knew her by another name, Samantha Meyers. Former lover of one of the larger Anti-Mutant movements in the town. He was dead, the body never found. Well she had not gained Leadership of the movement, she did hold a decently high level office.
She smiled at the men walking with her, and excused herself and pointed to her moulth and the gum she was chewing. Well not forbidden, she made a habit of always chewing it and never bringing it into the church, it provided her with a handy excuse. Waving to the guard she closed the door behind her, spitting out the gum, she also reached into her pant's pocket, and dropped, an old looking key, in the grass. Walking back in, she turned the deadbolt, and smiled to the guard again, who thanked her for locking the door for him.
That part done, they made their way through a door and down the stairs. The door had been sound proofed and Aura had to fight back her rage over the moaning and begging she could hear below. She knew who they were, Mutant's of course, caged by human hand's. A few moments later, she could see their faces, none of them had a combative power. In fact all the one Woman knew was that she was blue. It did not matter to scum like this. At first Aura had thought this stealth stuff a waste, a way to be useful until a real fight began, but now she understood things better.
Had she tried to rescue them, they all would have died, and at best she would have escaped, at worst she would have been another death. Even a year ago she would have found this acceptable, but now she knew better.
Their were two hallway's but they both lead to the same place. They moved down a hall way and Aura saw one of the two guards she knew patrolled the hallway. Moving to the end of the hallway, 2 more guards stood next to a door, unable to see the hall way and refusing to move. They let the pair in but other then that stood attention, looking board. "No one get's in"" She growled at the man as they walked in. The screams were loud now, and Aura felt her body shiver slightly. Every fiber in her body wanted to gut the man where he stood. She looked upon the sad, beaten spirits and wished they could hold on a little longer. Other then herself, dressed in long white robes of silk, were 5 others dressed the same, except for a short man, the ritual would begin soon, at the end, the Mutant's would die, becuse these idiots believed it increased one's M powers.

Leon knew his part in this mission, and whilst stealth was something he had not dabbled in before he was fairly confident that he could pull it off. Normal clothing would not suffice for this sort of job as it was too flashy and bright, so he had decided to use some of his acquired money to get some more clothes that he felt would be more suited to this. So there he was in the allocated spot wearing his new black outfit which is basically identical to his normal outfit just...black.
Soon the time came for him to start his part, using his mutation he was delighted to find a rather large amount of ash scattered around the grass, most likely left from underage smokers who could not be bothered to try and find a bin. But soon enough he had a key floating on a black cloud next to him. Deciding that touching the key was not the best idea, even through leather gloves. Opening the door took seconds as the key slotted perfectly into the keyhole with the ash turning it in the lock, once the door was opened by a crack he quickly shot the cloud inside and into the security guards mouth. Making the cloud condense in his mouth he split it both ways, sending half upwards and half down breaking the mans jaw silently.
Once finished with the man Leon stepped into the building, bringing all of the ash and key into his pockets in a stream, after all going around with small flames running around your body will give away your position pretty fast, he surveyed the hallway to see where he was supposed to go, which he quickly spotted and set off down the hallway towards, He met a few people along the way but non of them where going in the direction of the body and non of them saw him hiding in the shadows.
Pathetic this is far to easy. He thought as he reached a doorway that it seemed like the screams and cries where coming from.
Behind the door was man standing guard. He was not expecting anyone and more concerned with the sports highlights on his iphone. He sat on a metal chair headphones sitting under his hat. He checked his watch to make sure his boss would not find him goofing off and smiling to himself he knew this close to ceramony he would not.
No alarms sounded and that made Aura feel a bit better, she was pretty sure the man would show up, but Aura privately questioned her choice to involve someone she had met once in business such as this. Given his gift for it was perfect though. Aura looked around at the time, it was getting close which made her consider those in the room, six not including herself, most with M powers, though only a few were combat powers.
Aura knew just ousite the large doors of the room, were a pair of guards, chosen from the best the organization could find. People they trusted to keep watch. Aura knew they were just more fodder though.
Aura smiled, as she considered her attack options, she would have to move in soon once the Mutant victims were knocked out with gas before being killed. She had insisted on the gas as a way to keep the Mutant's silent so their screaming would not attract anyone. It reality Aura wanted to preserve her cover for as long a sshe could. And the fewer people who knew who she was in this the better off her secret was.

Leon checked his watch, by his check it was almost time to go, he was slightly apprehensive about what he was about to do. If he misjudged a move or missed then it would be game over and most likely make Aura very angry, which he really didn't want to do. Taking a deep breath he pulled all the ash he could out into thin streams around him letting the flames on his body heat them to a healthy glow. From his knowledge of the plan there would be a few guards to get rid of then he could cut loose.
Deciding it was time to start moving he stepped through the door that would lead him to the guards, he knew that going in like this wouldn't be the most stealthy, but he was certainly more dangerous than those humans. As he walked he pulled the thin streams into six thicker tentacle like creations, each attaching itself to him in a different place to leech heat from his flames.
Looking round a corner he saw the guards that blocked the way to the room, remembering he still needed to be quiet for a little bit he concentrated for a second to make the ends of the tentacles split into pointed claw like appendages, happy with the way they looked and to some extent "felt" he dashed around the corner.
He used two of the tentacles to grab the men by their faces and lift them in the air, while two more grabbed the men by their throats, one pull and the men where dead. It sort of went against the whole deaths need to be hidden, seeing as the holes could not be hidden or mistaken but this close he doubted it mattered much. Putting the body's down he prepared himself to enter the room.
The ritual was in full swing. Aura was patient hoping she did not need to use her back up plan. A Stick on TNT, some duck tape and a lighter. She was not entirely sure it would work but she assumed it would be better then fighting him head on. Glancing down at her iphone she smiled as she saw Leon working, anyone else looking at the footage would have just seen a looping video, Aura had routed the real footage only to herself.
Knowing her friend was working she smiled hiding the phone. Her mind only snapping back into the ritual as it came near to the time for these idiots to try and take the blood of the Mutant's. She had never understood how they had thought the blood important, but perhaps that was because Aura knew M's true source and had even helped spread it on a number of occasions.
Another click on her phone the door unlocked silently for Leon. Aura smiled anticipating the fun that would start soon. The Lead of the Ritual caught her eye, already he was growing and his skin becoming hard and very resistant top physical damage.
With a breath she also saw a few other M powered humans in the room, none of them nearly as much of a threat however, but they would be the one's Aura would focus on, to try and keep Leon clear to work. AUra stood ready to move, first to the cages then to the M powerd people in the room, they had to fall quickly

Leon smiled as the door unlocked for him, it was reassuring to know that Aura was doing her part in the plan, Peaking through the door he was slightly unnerved by what he was seeing. When he was told about the mutant he was to take down he imagined him to be...smaller. Glancing at the form his ash had taken he realized it just wouldn't work, he needed it to be faster and more mobile. With a quiet sigh he let the ash break into two clouds next to his arms, each roughly the size of his torso.
It was time to start, if he waited any longer it would defeat the purpose of him being there, fixating his gaze on the large head of the ritual he kicked the door open, sending the rapidly cooling clouds around the room in a large arc to the leader taking care to not hit Aura as they made their way around. The speed that the clouds where going at made them cool quicker so when they hit the man they where just black, with no specks of heat or glowing fires. Hitting the man didn't have the effect that he had hoped it would as he was much heavier than he had expected. But the force of the ash crashing into either side of him did make him stumble and be engulfed by a large black cloud.
Aura smiled at the chaos her friend's entry had caused and with the target disabled to her eye anyway, she lashed out at thew man next to her, a long thin, pink blade emerging from her back, from a quick jab to his stomach. A second swing silenced the man whose surprise had kept him rather quite. She could see various members using their M based powers though none had moved in to fight, to concerned with their leader.
Aura downed a woman with a quick slash to her neck as she reached the cages, she was going to cut a lock when a blast of force sent her sliding across the room. Aura stopped herself on the bar';s of the last cage, even breaking one as she grasped for purchase with her fingers. Pulling her gun, Aura fired a quick shot back at the man but missed. SHe was a better shot now but had not tried to hit moving targets much. Aura considered her next action a sshe pressed her back to the wall hiding her from view and with a second press of a button the doors re locked silently. They could have no one escape after all, if someone did it would mean trouble
