The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Ty dusted himself off, looking up at the sky, apparently from which he fell. He'd have rubbed his head, but his arms were a mite too short. Though the kid did notice he was a lot more flexible, even if he lost his long legs and lanky figure in the process. What made no sense was that he was a playing card in the first place, much less how he ended up in this twisted forest that he guessed used to be Central Park.
Currently, he was in a clearing in front of what seemed to be a statue of some queen. Find the Queen, Protect the Castle. The thought entered his mind like a faint whisper, repeating in his head. Find the queen, protect the castle. Find the queen, protect the castle. Looking down, he found an odd looking sash with a sheathed sword attached. On the black sash were red hearts, and it was awkward looking. Almost as if the wearer had a completely flat body. It took some effort, but soon he had it on, and was walking down an odd path, looking for the castle.
Walking was about as awkward as everything else here, but he knew what he had to do. Find the queen, protect the castle....

Leon was walking down a rather peculiar looking path, he could still remember with ease where the castle was and had a faint idea where he was going, as though he had lived here his whole life and he had just woken up from a dream. The castle had turned out to be a worthwhile visit and the staff inside seemed inclined to act very flustered and attend to his needs, not that he minded. It was odd though as the more time he spent walking the less off it all seemed, he even thought he could hear a voice in his head helping him fit in, giving him some sort o purpose in this place.
He could see the statue of his queen a little way away, he was much more accustomed to his new clothing by now, and was not annoyed by his cloak one bit, it simply trailed nicely behind him. Even the scepter that should have been annoying to hold he was easily twirling in his hand, treating it like an old friend. Although he was unarmed he didn't fear that his attire would attract robbers or any other unsavory people, as upon leaving the castle gates a few odd looking soldiers had attached themselves to him. Following him around on his stroll, he had tried speaking to them but they just nodded or gave very quick answers. Pretty useless for some conversation.
I must remember to bring up the conversation skills of the card soldiers in the next meeting.
Hmm? Where did that come from, I don't remember any meetings, and whats a card soldier? oh silly me I remember now....right? He though unsure of himself again but not letting it show, little things like that had been happening all to often since his arrival in this place, random thoughts that make no sense would pop into his head. Then suddenly he would remember what they mean, it was all rather confusing but somehow right.
Rounding a bend on the path, he noticed an oddly shaped figure walking in the opposite direction to him.

It seemed the more he walked, the more used to his awkward new body that Ty got. One might have also found it peculiar that the boy--er, card,--knew every twist and turn he should take, almost as if he'd taken the journey a thousand times. Find the Queen, protect the castle, kept ringing in his head.
Suddenly, he saw four figures in the distance, recognizing three of them as his own kind. And with them.
Approaching, Ty knelt slightly in respect without even thinking what he was doing or saying. "Sire," he said earnestly, then standing to his feet. "I was just on my way back to the castle."
Sire? What the hell? Ty thought. Respect your king. Find the queen, protect the castle. The voice continued to whisper in his head. Inside, Ty couldn't make heads or tales of this, maybe it was some weird dream. He didn't understand, and yet he did. This made no sense, and yet, it made perfect sense. "What are your orders, my liege?"
