The time will soon be upon us to start up the MROland plot! But first, I felt it necessary to post up a little...briefing of sorts.
The Plot in a NutshellCitizens of New York are disappearing. Gone. Vanished into thin air. And the count of missing people--more often than not, mutants--is increasing every day. As far as the rest of the city knows, this is the end of the tale, and those left behind try to cope--if need be.
Those 'missing,' find themselves in a strange twisted version of New York. Central Park is a forest, full of strange plants and creatures. The Sanctuary and Mansion are castles. The statue of liberty is now a monument to the Queen of Hearts. Our missing mutants are caught in a dream, or is it?
Nonetheless, this 'Wonderland' version of New York is where we find ourselves. How did we get here? Some of us went down a rabbit hole, or through a looking glass. Others merely woke up here after staring too long at the Alice Statue in the park. Our characters find they don't even look the same, resembling characters from Alice in Wonderland.
Nothing makes sense, because logic is now illogical. And it's a fun, happy little world... Or not. The main, visible threat is the Queen of Hearts, whom some say is a dreamer like the rest of us. But she doesn't like newcomers, or maybe she doesn't like anyone. Or maybe she just likes hacking off heads.
The other, is the madness. This threat is not visible, but the longer you're in Wonderland, the stronger it takes ahold, leaving you thinking you are the character you resemble, and that you belong here.
There are obvious ways to Wonderland--just follow the rabbit, for instance. But getting out is harder. The easy way is to die. But if you die in Wonderland, you can never return.
We, fellow 'dreamers,' need to find out what is going on, and we have to stop it before it consumes the entire city. Time is running out, and this is one date you do not want to be late for...
The City in GeneralNew York is a Twisted and colorful version of itself. Central Park is now a winding forest filled with strange wildlife, and the Alice Statue in the center is now a mini-statue of the Queen of Hearts, whom we know as Isabel. The Statue of Liberty, or where it once stood, is a giant statue of--you guessed it, the queen, who resides at the castle we used to know as Sanctuary.
The Mansion is another castle, but it is now just a place for random characters to crash and/or hide from the Queen's tyranny. The rest of Wonderland is for you guys to come up with and shape up~
MutationsMutations work normally, but Wonderland doesn't. Wonderland works differently than the real world, which may give strange results when one tries to us their powers. This will make your mutations behave differently. (Example, Ty tries to touch something, and sees a jumble of nonsense, or a sequences of images of pie. Or Serena being able to control red ribbons instead of blood.)
The MadnessFinally, is the Madness. The Madness is not seen or heard from directly, but it hovers over wonderland like an invisible fog. It makes one believe they are who they now resemble, and eventually lose all sense of logic. When one first enters Wonderland, it is barely noticeable, if at all. But the longer time goes on, the stronger it gets. The only ones who are immune to this, if any, are the Alices.
The Plot Starts Now~ To enter the plot, merely post your char(s) stumbling into Wonderland as a reply here. Then branch off into your own threads discovering this mad little world.
