(OOC: This is post time served and rescue from the base) It'd been months since the rescue from that awful place and he hadn't seen much more of the mansion than the infirmary. Whatever they'd done to him was imperceptible to Ted himself, but it was apparent to others in the mansion; particularly those that knew him before. He was getting restless. Towards the end of his stay in the infirmary he was allowed to roam around the mansion for a little bit of time. Of course he was always with an escort just to make sure that something Ted saw didn't set him off. Through out the day he had to go back to the infirmary to get doses of medicine from Doc Prof. It seemed that not even he could fix Teddy quickly. Time dragged on and Ted was not only getting better from the medicine but he was also required to visit a psychiatrist a few times a week to discuss what happened to him while he was captured. Through one session Ted told the doctor about what Kara had done. He talked about the injections the fear of them turning into an addiction and soon an anticipation for them. "It's weird," He confided in the doctor. "Even though that I know now what she was doing to me I still miss it. I still get these feelings, from what they were programming me for, that I don't necessarily feel angry at them for it. Even though it was wrong for them I miss it. Is that weird?" Somewhere through his story he laid down on the comfy couch provided by the psychiatrist. It wasn't leather like they show in the movies. The fabric was soft and he felt like he just melted into the couch. Ted was afraid to close his eyes because he thought he might fall asleep on the couch, that's how comfortable it was. There was a silence in the room for a moment. But not a complete silence. He could hear a tape playing of the sea washing up onto a beach. In one of his very first visits the psychiatrist asked him where he felt most relaxed and Teddy told him about the beach near where he grew up. Since then, every time he walked into his office, there was a CD of a sea shore playing quietly in the background.

The doctor countered his remarks with his own seemingly cryptic message. "I think that because you left your family at such a young age and have been lying to them for some time it felt good to have someone who pretended to care about you." The time spent would never be erased from his memory but he could at least help heal the wounds that were cut into and confused his mind for so long. It didn't seem like he'd been there for so long but he apparently had been there much longer than he suspected.
This was mainly a doctor ordered appointment. When he'd arrived back at the mansion he wasn't a pretty sight. Now he looked basically the same as he used to before; however, there were times when his face would reveal the true trials that he'd been through. No scars were left on him but there were plenty of those left in his mind. Much of what he'd been through didn't seem to be a bad thing for him.
------------------------------ He hadn't wanted to go from there, but they'd made him. They'd brought him here and they were making him talk to this stupid psychiatrist. The darkness returned to his emerald green eyes. They seemed to go a shade darker, if that was possible. The bright kidness left his eyes and they were replaced by hollow hate. His head was turned to look at the doctor while he was talking, however, things went in one ear and out the other. He would have to find his way back soon. ------------------------------
The doctor noticed this change and hid his alarm well. He jotted a few notes down that Teddy couldn't see, but only made his suspicion grow about this guy. Teddy blinked a couple of times and seemed to come out of a trance. His eyes looked normal and seemed bright, and a faint smile returned to him. "I was wondering Ted...What do you think when you are angry like that?" Teddy looked at him oddly.
"What do you mean? I wasn't angry." Teddy said to him. The doctor jotted a couple of more things down, before he decided to speak again. Ted honestly wasn't sure what he was talking about. He didn't think he had gotten mad. Had he? Confusion gripped him for a minute. The doctor seemed to let it go; but Ted knew that he just made a note about it and would probably come back to it later.
The psychiatrist looked at his watch and said, "Have you ever thought that maybe you would be better served...that is...it might help you recover better if you acquired a new animal? Maybe something that is peaceful?" Ted sat up and looked directly at the doctor this time before answering.
"That's not how it works for me doc. I don't get feelings or emotions from animals. I copy stuffed animals remember. It doesn't matter what I morph it's still just me. It's still just a copy of a man made toy for little kids. Shifting wont help me. Besides I got more than enough shapes while they had me." Just then his timer rang and they both knew what that meant. It was time to go. They said their goodbyes and Teddy left to go back to the mansion.
