The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

"I'm not sweet." she murmured, heat rising to her face and turning a faint red. The blonde gazed across the room at the clock, blinking a few times until everything came into focus and her face had returned to it's normal color. "7:27." Charlotte responded, glancing over at the redhead.
"I think it may be time for dinner." she suggested. As if on cue, her stomach emitted a low grumble, and the watermancer flashed Ty a sheepish smile. She stood and stretched, the numbing feeling in her leg slowly subsiding.
Wandering over to the cracked window by the fire escape, fishing a cigarette out of her pack and poking her head out of the window. She lit it and let the smoke roll out of her mouth before getting taken away by the light breeze.

Ty kissed her, quickly yet gently. "You are to me," he answered softly, then blinked at the time. "Huh. Thought it was later than that. But yeah...dinner sounds like a great idea right now."
His stomach answered with a growl of its own, and he stood up to stretch some more, watching as she lit another cigarette. Part of him wondered if he looked something like that when he'd relied heavily on aspirin; even if it was to help with the side effect of his mutation. But hey, who was he to judge, anyway? It wasn't like he was a saint or anything, right?
"Still feel like burgers?" he asked, perking up a little. A smile found its way to his face again; this was nice.
Charlotte exhaled another small cloud of smoke, her head buzzing from the nicotine. "I always feel like burgers!" she exclaimed, the cigarette dangling loosely between her lips. She removed it and chucked it out of the window, turning to face the redhead.
"I don't really feel like changing, so I'm ready when you are, cutestuff." she decided, giving him a wink as she crossed the room to bite his bottom lip. With a smile, she sauntered down the hallway and slipped into her shoes, grabbing her purse from the rack on the wall.
The blonde turned and gazed down the hallway at Ty, waiting for him to make a move.

Ty chuckled. "Well, it's settled then," he decided. "And seeing how I don't have anything to change into, I guess I'm all set too."
Lacing up his shoes, he made his way over to her, lacing her fingers in his, and nuzzling against her one last time. His stomach growled even louder, letting him know it was time they got a move on. Opening the door, he held it for her, and let it shut behind them when she was out.
Charlotte stood in the hallway, her lips pursed as she ran through a mental list of the restaurants she knew. She could give the name of any restaurant for Mexican food, Italian food, all of that. But none for a good burger. Shaking her head, she looked over her shoulder at Ty as she headed down the stairs. "Hopefully you know a place, 'cause I sure don't."
The blonde walked outside, shielding her eyes from the setting sun. Real light was a lot harsher than her lamps. She stood and waited by the door for Ty, her stomach letting out another low rumble. If they didn't find burgers soon, Charlotte may have to settle for some greasy fast food.

Ty followed, biting his lip as he thought on her question. Stepping outside, the idea hit him. "GAH!" Unfortunately, so did the last little bit of sunlight, and he yelped, shielding his eyes. On the bright side, at least it wasn't noon.
"I know just the place," Ty finally said as his mind cleared after the ambush from the sun and he could think again. Slipping an arm around her waist, he took the lead. "It's not too far a walk, and the food is to die for," he said.
When they reached the building, it wasn't very large, nor busy. "Not a very well-known place, but trust me it's worth it."
Charlotte leaned into Ty, his arm around her a nice feeling. "It could be two miles. I'd walk that far for a good burger." she responded, nodding her head lightly for affirmation. She rubbed her arm with her hand, dying to warm up her cool skin. When had the weather gotten so cold?
The blonde gazed at the restaurant's sign, her lips pursing. "I've never been here." she stated, glancing over at the redhead. She closed the distance between her and the door, holding it open to follow him in. They picked a booth in the back corner, where they could have some privacy. Charlotte ordered a water and a diet coke when their waitress tended to them, an elderly woman of about 70. Her face drooped and was heavily caked in makeup, the powder on her skin two shades too light. The mutant vowed to never allow herself to look like that when she got older.
"When did this place get here?" she queried, looking up at Ty before scanning the menu in front of her.

Ty chuckled. "They're worth it. I don't come here too often. I mean I normally don't eat out. Usually I'm a stay home and cook kinda guy."
Following her--and loving her choice of seating, he sat down across from her, ordering a glass of iced tea when the older-than-dirt waitress took their orders. He scanned over the menu, brushing his hair aside. "I'm not sure, I happened across it during my urban exploration phase when I was younger. Of course this means I discovered the roof first." He winked. "You didn't have to worry before, but...yeah you definitely don't have to worry about me hitting on our waitress," he said quietly.
"Is that so? I love a guy who can cook." Charlotte responded, flashing a smile. Something about a man in the kitchen makes her go crazy. Then again, basically everything about a man drove her crazy.
"Of course." she echoed, returning his wink with one of her own. She pictured a younger Ty, one who was just getting into the swing of things, wandering across rooftops and pickpocketing. Oddly enough, it was kind of cute. She gazed at her menu, her eyes settling on the Spicy BBQ Bacon Cheeseburger. A juicy angus patty smothered in jalapeño BBQ sauce and topped with American cheese and applewood bacon? Oh yes. That is just what she needed to fulfill her appetite.
Closing her menus, Charlotte shot her date a smirk. "Are you sure? I think she's pretty hot." The blonde turned to the side to watch their waitress hobble back to the kitchen, using the chairs as crutches as she passed them. "She seems like a catch to me."

Ty chuckled; though deep down part of him kind of missed the old days. Younger, more naive and oblivious, and not really having a care in the world even though he picked pockets because he had to. Back when he would draw the line at breaking and entering. Back when...when it was just him against the world. Now, he stole not because he needed the money, but because it was fun. Because he took some sick pleasure in causing trouble to others, especially humans. But he was who he was, and overall, he still liked the man he saw in the mirror. Fun-loving, even though his fun was often less-than-legal, but he still had that sort of respect for women and children.
Blinking, the young man found he'd been staring intently into his glass of tea. He didn't know why he was doing so much self-analysis, but...he honestly didn't have too many complaints. Nor did he want to change who he was.
Looking at his menu, he decided on a burger stacked with cheddar and mozzarella cheese, lettuce, onions, pickles, ketchup, mustard, and of course bacon, on a toasted bun. Brushing his thoughts aside, he stuck his tongue out at his date. "Well, you can have her," he teased. "Besides, I already have a hot date tonight, thanks~"
Charlotte watched as Ty's gaze set on his drink. He seemed deep in thought. Pursing her lips, the blonde took a sip from her water, giving the redhead some time to sort out his thoughts. When he addressed her, she smiled, rolling her eyes shortly after.
"Well whoever your date is, she's a lucky girl." she smirked, setting her glass on the table as their waitress hobbled over to them. With a toothless smile, the old woman took their orders and left to put them in. Turning her attention back to Ty, Charlotte propped her chin up in the palm of her hand.

"Maybe," Ty replied with a smirk on his face now. "Or maybe it just makes me one lucky guy~" Ty held back a shudder at the toothless smile, then turned his attention back to Charlotte, and that was when she posed the question.
Folding his arms on the table in front of him, he bit his lip in thought. "Well, you pretty much know the general idea," he answered. "I guess...hm...what exactly do ya wanna know?"
Charlotte could almost feel herself blush, and she turned her gaze to the tabletop until she felt the heat leave her face. "Well aren't you sweet.." she murmured, taking a long sip of her water.
She hadn't had much of an idea as to what she was expecting to learn. It was the first subject that came to her. "Hmm." The blonde pursed her lips and thought for a moment. "You said you live at Sanctuary, right?" She hoped she remembered correctly. Either that, or she imagined that sometime when they were drinking.
"What's that like?" she added, swallowing another sip of water. She didn't know much about Sanctuary. Heck, she wasn't even sure if she knew where it was.

"I try to be~" Was the ginger's simple reply as he sipped on his tea. "Well, it's a place for mutants to feel safe. Not quite a homeless shelter, because it's actually very nice. Your own room--if you so choose, a gym, a rec room, a kitchen, and you're around nothing but other mutants. It's sort of a haven where all mutants can feel accepted. So it lives up to its name."
He smiled. "As far as me though, I'm not that hard to figure out. I mean you know alot about me already, I think. What I do for fun, how I live. Though I will tell you my favorite color is green, I never finished high school, and I don't like chihuahuas. Or poodles." He grinned.
"Hm." was all Charlotte could think to say. It sounded nice enough, and being surrounded by mutants all the time? It'd be refreshing. "You're always welcome to spend the night at my place. You know, if you ever need to.." she added, flashing a sheepish smile.
As her date talked about his..odd dislike for poodles, their grandmotherly waitress brought them their orders. The blonde could smell the sweet and spicy BBQ sauce, and she could feel her mouth watering. Picking up a french fry, she popped it in her mouth and glanced up at Ty.
"How could anyone hate poodles? They're cute." she retorted matter-of-factly. She picked up another fry, but this time dipped it in the small pool of BBQ sauce forming on her place.
