Butterfly looked over at her girlfriend and sort of understood where she was coming from. She had never been rich, but she had gone from one level of poor to another and even then it was a struggle. She tried to make Paige feel better, but grabbing her around the shoulders and kissed her hard, in the middle of a crowd of people. Then she looked deep into her eyes and said,"One thing I've learned is that you can still find really great stuff, that looks great on you, without a high price tag. I'm sure we'll be able to look around and find stuff that you'll love, and I'll love on you." She smiled and winked. She took Paige by the hand and started looking over the clothes in JCPenny, since it was the first clothing store that was near them and Butterfly found that she appreciated some the styles that they had available. She hoped that Paige's spirits had been lifted and that she could always find a way to make her girlfriend happy.

A good kiss may not make problems disappear, but it sure as hell makes the one with them alot happier. Paige blushed slightly, however, surprised by Chloe's sudden action, but nonetheless took her hand, following her through the store.

"This is an art you will have to show me to master," she murmured softly, looking at a jacket before shying away from the fifty-dollar price tag. Man...back when she was rich that would have been considered dirt cheap...and now it was too expensive? Life sucked sometimes...at least when it came to clothes. She sighed, shaking her head.

"From the looks of my funds, it won't surprise me if all I can come outta here with is one sock..." she grumbled.

Butterfly smiled and knew that she'd find something that Paige would like. She saw Paige look at a jacket and then shy away. Butterfly walked over to a rack with different colored dressed on them and a clearance tag above the rack. "Paige, come over here and see if you like any of these." The dresses were very pretty and with the clearance going on the prices were between 12 and 15 dollars, so Butterfly thought this was a pretty good find. Butterfly looked over the dresses on the rack and found one that she liked. It was a deep purple that was a little shorter than knee length and it had a deep v neck with ruffles and black buttons going all the way down. "I've found one I like. Wanna see it on me?"

Paige sighed, stuffing her hands into her almost-too-tight jean pockets. "I have plenty of dresses. What I lack are casual...warm...clothes. I mean, I bought a couple pieces, but I managed to blow the entire three grand my parents sent me as a starter in the same day I got here..." She nodded, making her way to a jacket rack marked clearance.

As she waited for Chloe to get back, she rummaged through the rack. "Ugly.." She murmured, throwing the jacket over her shoulder. "Poor Quality, too brown, too pink..." With each one, she threw the reject over her shoulder. "Ew..." Suddenly, her eyes lit up. It wasn't leather, but it was a deep blue, and very soft. On the back was...a cute kitten...trying to be tough. No...Okay yes. But no...But...

She put it on. Oh yes...definitely a keeper. And for ten bucks, a definite steal.

This bargain hunting crap was sooo overrated.

Butterfly looked over her shoulder as Paige spoke and felt kinda bad. She wanted Paige to have fun and wanted her to be able to find something. "Well, just look around a bit. I'm sure you'll find something Baby. I'll be out in just a sec and you can tell me what you think." Butterfly walked into the dressing room and tried on the dress. Standing in front of the mirror, she made several poses and modeled the dress to herself, trying to find the perfect angle and face to show Paige just how sexy she was.

When she was satisfied with herself, she poked her head out of the door and looked for Paige to call her over, but before she spoke she saw her girlfriend browsing through the racks of jackets and the faces she made as she found ones she didn't like. She covered her mouth as she giggled and saw Paige throw jacket after jacket over her shoulder. She was glad she finally found one she liked because Butterfly would have wet her pants had she continued throwing the jackets on the floor behind her. When she saw that Paige had tried on the jacket, Butterfly smiled and said, "Hey Sweetheart, will you come here and tell me what you think?"

Paige usually wasn't one to act as she was today, throwing jackets on the floor like a spoiled brat. But today was just different, and her frustrations were coming out as such. The girl who was used to being handed everything on a platter now had to work for what she could get, and what she could get was nothing close to what she used to be given.

Taking the jacket off, the blonde slung it over her shoulder, carrying it as she walked over to where she was called from. A smile found its way to her frustrated face when she saw the fellow shifter in the dress. "Beautful," she murmured. "Simply beautiful." Smirking, she gave a wink. "And the dress looks good too," she added playfully.

Butterfly smirked as she saw Paige's face go from a twisted frown of frustration to a smile as she gazed at Butterfly in the dress. She even blushed a little as Paige said that the dress was beautiful--when suddenly Paige said that the dress looked good too. This startled Butterfly for a moment and she turned a deep rose red. She was flattered and had never even thought for a moment that Paige was talking about her. The shifter knew that obviously Paige thought her pretty and liked her and all considering that they were dating, but to hear her call her beautiful was absolutely wonderful.

She playfully grinned at Paige and gave her a sweet kiss on the cheek and whispered, "I love you Paige." into her ear. She stood there for another moment or so and then said, ""Let me get changed back into my clothes and we can go checkout and explore a few more stores. See if anything else will tickle our fancies." She smiled and then walked back into the dressing room and changed back into her clothes.

Paige smiled as she made Chloe blush; that was always amusing. At least for Paige it was. "I love you too~" She nodded, but as Chloe disappeared back into the dressing room, the realization hit her. What had just happened, with the bargain hunting and all, she was going to essentially going to have to go through again, and again, and again, all at other stores. Great...

Well, at least she got to spend time with Chloe, and that was worth it. Though she could think of things she'd rather do than look for cheap stuff. Yeah, she was so over shopping...

Paying for the jacket, she put it on and stood by a rack, waiting for her girlfriend to return.

Chloe walked back out of the dressing room with the dress in hand and saw her girlfriend wearing the jacket, waiting for her. Butterfly walked over to the counter and paid for it. With her bag in one hand and Paige's hand in the other, Butterfly walked out of the JCPenny and then scoped out the stores around for them to go to next. As her eyes scanned, she saw the Victoria's Secret and began to walk in that direction. She looked over her shoulder and grinned. "How's Victoria's Secret sound?"she asked, hoping that Paige would be more excited for this one that she was about JCPenny. She had a surprise for Paige though, she didn't have to bargain hunt in Victoria Secret. Butterfly had managed to save and keep enough money that she could spoil her girlfriend on this occasion.

As they walked through the doors of the store, Butterfly looked over to her girlfriend and said, "Get whatever you want Baby and I'll get it for you. The only thing I ask is that you help me find something sexy too." She playfully laughed and squeezed Paige's hand, smiling at her.

Paige held onto Chloe's hand; the shifter had to give it to her, Chloe definitely was trying. But the blonde wasn't sure she saw shopping the same now. Before, she could walk in, swipe her parents' credit card, and come out with half the store, no worries. Now she had to look through bargain racks where half of those were out of her range.

"Sounds good," she murmured, sighing out of her nose. Huh...some date. It's supposed to be a sweet time between us, and I'm ruining it... Suddenly she blinked at Chloe's words. "I...I mean you don't have to do that. Really...but thank you," she whispered with a smile. That girl really was one of the sweetest people Paige had ever met.

Butterfly knew that Paige had come from a more wealthy family, but she just had to do what she could to make her girlfriend feel special. Chloe knew she was struggling with the bargain shopping, but Chloe figured that if they kept trying to work it in a little at a time, then maybe it'll come easier for the beautiful blonde to accept.

Chloe looked over at Paige and could tell that she felt bad or felt like she was ruining their date just from the way she sighed through her nose. She stopped as they were walking and faced Paige, putting her hands on either of Paige's shoulders and looked her straight in the eyes and said, "Paige, I wanna do this for you. I love you. I know things are difficult for you and it's things you aren't used to, but I assure you that you aren't ruining our date and I'm enjoying spending every moment of today with you. I want you to be happy. I wanna splurge a little on you. It makes me happy seeing you happy." Chloe kissed Paige's forehead and then asked,"If you're not happy shopping and looking around, then we could go somewhere else. We could go grab a bite to eat and catch a movie if you wanted. What would you like to do, Baby?"

"I love you too," Paige whispered, looking away. Though she couldn't help but smile at the kiss on her forehead. Looking at her girlfriend, Paige took a breath, calming down as her sadness began to lift.

"I don't take advantage of you, but since you have the money, you're in charge. What we do, you decide. What you spend is none of my business. Thanks for this though, I really do appreciate it. And..." She gave sort of a mischievous smile. "I promise to make it up to you~" Taking Chloe's hand, she pulled her closer, wrapping an arm around her waist and starting to Victoria's Secret, since it was what she'd suggested.

Butterfly smiled at Paige, happy that she was making Paige happy and feeling the warmth of her love flutter over her as she realized just how amazing it was to have Paige as her other half.

She walked over to Victoria's Secret with Paige and began to peruse the racks of different underwear and bra's and even looking at the body sprays and lotions to find what kind of stuff she liked. She definitely wanted to go see a movie with Paige, but that might have to wait as she wondered what that mischievous smile would be consisting of for later on. She smirked as she watched her girlfriend find things that she liked. Butterfly loved seeing Paige just be Paige and be girly at times. It made her happy. She brought over a few of the body sprays that she had smelled, but couldn't pick which she wanted. She tapped her girlfriend on the shoulder and asked, "Baby, which one do you like? I can't pick. Which one would you like for me to wear for you?"

Paige felt herself blushing slightly; to be quite honest, underwear shopping wasn't her thing, but she in no way intended to tell Chloe that bit of information. Besides, maybe it would be fun...right? Maybe.

Walking inside, she looked around and darted straight to the shelves with lotions and perfumes and scented stuff. Too bad there weren't any candles. She loved to smell candles; in fact, she made it a point to smell every scented candle in a store. But there weren't any here, so she settled for lotions and perfumes. So, she began opening, spraying, and sniffing.

The blond jumped when she felt a tap on her shoulder, then smelled the sprays at her girlfriend's request. "That one," she replied, pointing to some Frenchy-looking one. "Something-something Amour," which she was sure meant fruit or something. Even though it smelled more like flowers.

Butterfly smiled at Paige's reaction. She didn't mean to scare her and was glad that she picked out one that really liked. "I like that one too, Baby. Wanna help me pick something cute out? Or should I go and find something for you while you keep smelling all the sprays and lotions?" She gave her girlfriend that same mischievous smile that Paige gave her earlier.

Though underwear shopping wasn't Paige's thing, Butterfly absolutely loved it. She loved finding things that were pretty and colorful and made her feel sexy. She never got to do this sorta thing when she was younger and all her shopping was done in WalMart, where the selections sucked and it was function over consumer appeal. She would just walk around the mall and window shop, wanting to be able to buy things she wanted , but never could afford. Now she could and she was getting to share her experiences with her girlfriend, where she could just be herself and knew that Paige would still love her regardless. Besides, if she couldn't open up and show Paige her true self, then what kind of relationship would she hope to develop if all she knew was a facade.
