The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

All the reassurances from Serena were making Victoria feel less and less worried and nervous. She was glad she had made such a good friend. Ever since they first met Victoria had felt something from Serena that made her like the older girl. Was it the fact they both needed blood for their abilities? She couldn’t tell, but she was very happy Serena was there.
“What do you mean you can give it to me directly? I only know of one way to get it directly and that’s when it gets messy.”
Serena gave Victoria a knowing smile. "I have Haemokinesis remember? I have telekinetic control over blood, I just need an open wound and I can feed it to you, you wouldn't even need to bite me."
Serena realised that Victoria hadn't actually said she bite people, but she thought it was a fairly safe assumption judging by the whole Vampire vibe. Did this mean that myths about Vampire's were based on mutants who digested blood?
Serena wasn't sure, however she did know that she needed to help this scared little girl who clearly didn't want to hurt people, particularly people she knew.
Wiping her eyes and collecting herself Victoria looked at the older blonde. “I know but how will you get your blood out?” She hoped Serena wasn’t going to pull out a knife or something bad just to open a wound. Victoria already felt bad enough for having to feed on people she considered her friends.
This was better than the alternative wasn’t it?
Refocusing back to the current situation Victoria stood up and offered a hand to Serena. “We can do anything here.” Whether Serena took the little vampire’s hand or not; once the other girl was standing Victoria would lead them to her room for some privacy.
Serena smiled at the small, blonde vampire. She really was a sweet little girl, it was so unfair that she had such an awful mutation, especially considering she clearly really didn't want to hurt people.
She gave Victoria a gentle smile "I'll probably just prick my finger or something." Serena added with a smile.
The small girl took her hand and Serena allowed it so that she could lead the two of them somewhere away from prying eyes, Because they were bad enough with Serena's mutation... It would be a nightmare if people started talking about Victoria's mutation.
sure, there were several mutants at the mansion who had destructive, or potentially dangerous powers, Serena was one of those, but she could hardly imagine the looks little Victoria might get. Silly teenagers, would probably spread rumours that she liked to feed on children from the mansion or something.
Whereas, in truth, she was just a sweet little girl with a massive burden, who clearly really did not want to hurt others.
Once inside her room Victoria closed the door and moved to sit on her bed. Her room was decorated nicely with pictures of flowers or scenery. Cream colored walls were accented by the lavender curtains flowing down the sides of the windows. The windows themselves were completely covered to keep out any light.
Serena was led into the little girls room. She remembered when Victoria had brought her here on their first night at the mansion, it seemed so long ago... It had only been five months.
She smiled reassuringly to the small vampire. "Okay, Victoria. The room is fine, relax. I just need to quickly prick my finger or something." Serena cocked her head to the side slightly and smiled sweetly.
She pulled out a hair pin and quickly made a motion across her wrist, applying as much pressure as she could. She winced. And then started bleeding. She smiled.
"Okay, so like, try not to be creeped out when the blood starts floating."
Serena focused on the wound and began to give of a pretty blue glow... Crap, she forgot to mention she glowed.

Relax?! Didn’t she say she was just going to prick her finger? So why is she slicing her wrist?! Victoria didn’t get a change to respond due to Serena telling her not to be creeped out.
Then it happened…blood was flowing and then…glowing? So what was it she wasn’t supposed to be creeped out about again? The fact that her friend slit her wrist, that her blood can float or that it glows? It was all a bit much all at once, but Victoria tried not to let it show. Then something else popped in her mind. “Do I just sit with my mouth open now?” Her voice was nervous as a sign of the awkwardness this manner of feeding presented.
Serena smiled. The blood floated and formed into an orb. She was rather focused currently, and determined to help her little friend. So the blood seemed to be responding positively, which was a slightly pleasant surprise.
She gave Victoria a reassuring smile. "I guess that would be easiest Victoria. Don't worry, I'll be fine." She really hoped that she wasn't creeping the little one out...
Her power was easily not the most family friendly power on the planet, in fact she rather disliked the idea of a child seeing it. She levitated it a little closer to the child's mouth.

Trying to keep herself as calm as possible Victoria watched while Serena made her blood take the shape of a ball. A blood ball. In a strange way it was kind of cool that Serena could do that. She could probably do all kinds of good things with her ability. Like help people from bleeding out from serious wounds and stuff.
A smile spread pleasantly over Victoria’s lips. She knew her friend was a good person and wanted to do good things. Doing what she was doing now proved that.
Deciding to take the awkwardness out of the situation Victoria moved closer and placed her soft lips on the floating crimson sphere and sucked at it like a straw. She wasn’t sure if Serena would continue to control the blood and make it move or if she could just let it be slurped up by the little vampire.
Serena smiled reassuringly to the little girl and willed the blood to flow into the inside of her mouth. It was odd... It was coming so naturally to her, whereas normally it felt like she was busy battling with her mutation.
But now, it felt as if it was listening to her. An odd sensation occurred to Serena, as the blood flowed into the little girls mouth, she felt herself lose control, not in a bad way, as if the strain on her mind which the blood was incurring just... stopped.
She realised quickly that as the blood entered the inside of her mouth, it lost it's form and just became a normal liquid, which she assumed Victoria would swallow. As it went into Victoria's mouth, Serena fed more blood to the mass, making it a continuous stream.

Almost as soon as her lips touched the blood sphere the mass started to liquefy in her mouth in an easily consumable stream. All she had to do was drink like it was a water fountain filled with blood.
Victoria’s eyes began to glow red once the blood started to reach her stomach and her body began processing it. A refreshing feeling started to wash over the girl. She always felt so much better when she was feeding.
Serena’s blood had a slightly different taste than Kait’s. She wasn’t sure what it was but it definitely tasted different. It was still good so Victoria drank as much as Serena could safely give.
Serena was really happy that she was able to use her mutation for something good. Very very happy. The little girl was really sweet and stuck with a power that was a burden, just like Serena's.
And also just like Serena's mutation, Victoria's power revolved around blood. It was as if she was meant to help the little girl, and that made Serena, truly, very happy. It was as if she had a solid purpose, her power wasn't just for self defense or harming people, it was for helping the little vampire.
She noted Victoria's eyes were glowing red. She wasn't really all that weirded out by it. After all, her whole body glowed blue when she activated her mutation. Which Victoria had seemed a little shocked by.
Serena kept feeding blood into the stream, so Victoria had a continuous flow of it.
After several minutes, Serena began to feel a little dizzy. The girl was even paler than usual. The flow slowed and the stopped. She hoped that was enough for Victoria, that was pretty much all she could give.
She slumped and sat on the bed. Trying to regain herself slightly. She looked up and smiled weakly at Victoria. "Was that... Enough?" the girl asked, a look of concern for Victoria still clearly on her face.
When the flow of blood stopped and the older girl tried to relax, Victoria felt so much better. She felt full of energy again and above all else the pain had stopped. She hated the hunger pains and wished they’d never come back.
“Aitah Serena! I feel much better now. I’m very grateful for your help.” Victoria carefully gave her friend a hug. “Are you ok? Did I take too much?”
Serena gave a smile and a light giggle. "Well, I'm glad I could help you. I guess, it's shown me that my mutation is good for something. And don't worry, I'll be fine, you didn't take to much, I just need to get something to drink and relax a bit... As I just feel... A bit. Light headed."
Everything was a little brighter than usual, a little more... fuzzy. It was blood loss... Serena was sure of it. Although she couldn't really focus that well, she had experienced this before and knew that after a little while, she would feel back to normal.
Not to mention the tiredness her power had invoked. She felt drained. Although, at least she didn't come up to her limit like she had done before. No coughing blood. Good... She needed all of the blood she had at the moment.
“You helped more than you know Serena and I’m very grateful for it! So now let me help you.” Standing up Victoria moved to her door. “I’ll get you something to eat and dink. Just stay here, okay?” With a smile and a nod the girl dashed out of her room.
A few minutes later the young girl returned and handed Serena a bottle of water and some fruit. “I hope this helps. Is it okay?”
