The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Sarah had spent some time working to get a few days off. The tension in the city was high. She felt it every day at work and it was causing her to loose her temper. In a last chance to get some of her patience back, she decided to go camping.
It wasn't too big of a deal. She left New York City with two bags and a cooler. One was full with a sleeping bag, a bow, a quiver of arrows, a fold-up fishing pole with tack, and a few knifes to make her life easy. The other was less full with only a few pairs of clothes, some matches, and a few other odds and ends she thought she'd need.
The only real problem she was having was finding a good place to get up her camp. Since it was a solo trip, she figured a small space between some trees would work for her. So far, a good spot had alluded her. She wasn't going to let it bother her though. She had a lot of sunlight left in the day. She was in the middle of the woods, away from the loud noises of the city. There was no way she would let the minor set back get her down.
Instead of really worrying about it, the brunette decided to put her arrows to some good use and tried to find some food. Though she was only going to be gone for a few days, she figured she'd bring some meat home with her. It was easier than buying it after all.
With that in mind, she set out on the hunt, she bags and cooler strapped to her waist in a way that would let her walk easily.

It was a pleasant day out and Regan had wanted something fun to do outdoors. She had the day off from the shop and the green house so she decided that she’d head out into the deeper areas of the woods and do a little hunting, maybe try catching some fish in the stream.
Packing up her green bikini and a towel in her bag, as well as clean clothes and some soap, Regan headed out of the mansion and out into the woods.
After running for a while, Regan found a decent spot by the river to leave her things while she was hunting or fishing. Deciding that fishing was looking like more fun right now then chasing down a deer, Regan stripped down and got into her green bikini.
Stepping into the cold water made a shiver run up Regan’s spine, but her fur would keep her warm. She waded out into the water and watched the waters flow by, watching closely for the movement of any fish. She was so intently focused on the water that’s she didn’t hear the sound of someone approaching.
It was relatively quiet as Sarah walked on through the woods. She could hear a stream bubbling near-by and decided to have a look. Hunting hadn't brought any results, so perhaps fishing would. As she got closer, she could make out someone standing in the stream. She couldn't make out much with the sun in its current position.
Not wanting to seem like a threat, the brunette took her arrow off of the bowstring and stuck it in her quiver. Her bow was slipped over her head and an arm to keep it in place. She was starting to get a better idea of who was in the stream. It looked to be a female, but she wasn't sure yet.
At the treeline, a clear view of the other person came to be. A small fear ran through the young woman before she calmed it. While the tiger-woman before she was frightening, she had already done the "bolt when scared" thing and ended up shot. This time, she decided, she wouldn't run away. . . Unless it seemed like the best idea.
"Afternoon," Sarah called softly. She noticed the woman's movements and knew that a loud noise would disrupt the fishing going on. However, it was impolite to not announce yourself.
The water bubbling by her waist was soothing. There was a calm peace that Regan got when she was in water. Tigers loved to swim, and well, so did Regan. A fish swap by her leg and she held herself perfectly still as it circled back around her a few times. Finally as it settled to swim around her contently, she struck! She dived into the water and snatched the fish up in her clawed hands.
Suddenly she heard some say ‘Afternoon’ to her. It was a female voice and she swung around to face the voice. Her emerald eyes darted from the young woman to her pile of things by the water’s edge and back to the woman again. She had been seen and there was nothing she could do about it.
Still clutching the flapping fish in her hands, Regan gave a slight nod to the woman but didn’t move. “Hello.” She said in a small voice and she looked over the things the woman was carrying, one such item being a bow and a quiver of arrows. Regan gulped slightly and glanced back at her things. There was no way she would be able to wade out of the water and get her things to run before that woman could notch an arrow and shoot her, so she prayed that this woman was not hostile towards mutants.
Sarah had noticed the woman's eyes go over to the things near the water and then back to her. The twenty-four year old smiled at the other woman. There really wasn't a need for aggression.
"Are the fish a good size here?" she asked, nodding to the slowly dying fish.
Instinct kept the muscles of her arms and legs tense, but previous experience told her not to bolt or attack. The brunette moved forward with an easy pace, keeping her hands visible, though in a pseudo-relaxed positioned. She stopped about two meters away from the other woman's things.

Responding to the woman’s question, the odd colored feline nodded. “They are a decent size for this time of year I suppose.” The soft Irish tones in her voice a little more apparent now while speaking full sentences.
She cautiously watched the woman edge closer to her pile of things on the river bank’s edge. She didn’t seem overly hostile, but she was also being cautious in her approach towards the water. Regan relaxed a little, if this woman hated mutants, she would have most likely shown it by now. She could have easily pegged the feline with an arrow, or made a rude comment. So far she was nothing but pleasant.
Still feeling rather awkward and in her frozen position, Regan coughed slightly and straightened out. She looked down at the now dead fish in her clawed hand and sighed softly. She must really look like a beast right now. Trying to ease the bit of tension in the air, she looked up at the brunette and gave a half smile. “If these are your fishing grounds, I can leave and move elsewhere. I don’t mean to intrude into anyone’s territory by any means. You can even have this fish if you’d like, if you don’t mind the claw marks that is.” She held out the fish towards the other woman and took a slow step forward, trying to make peace even if none was really needed.
Sarah smiled at the reply the tiger-woman gave. The foreign accent caused a slight shock to go through the brunette.
>>“If these are your fishing grounds, I can leave and move elsewhere. I don’t mean to intrude into anyone’s territory by any means. You can even have this fish if you’d like, if you don’t mind the claw marks that is.”
The brunette shook her head, causing her braid to fly around her, at the question and offer. "Oh no, I'm just camping. I thought getting away from the city would be good. Are you camping somewhere near-by?"
If the woman was camping in the area, Sarah would do the courteous thing and move somewhere else. Of course, there was always the idea that they could camp together, but Sarah wasn't sure how the woman would take the offer.

Regan took another slow step forward as she watched the brunette’s braid fly wildly around her head as she shook it. She was camping to get away from the city. That made the feline relax even more. There was no threat here, just two people who had stumbled across each other while trying to relax and escape the city.
“I’m not camping. I just came out here to do a bit of fishing, maybe some hunting. I needed to get away and back to nature myself. You are welcome to join me here if you’d like. I’ll try not to scare all the fish away.” She said with a small laugh. There were plenty of fish in the water for them both to share.
The red headed feline waded her way to the river’s edge where she had all of her things and placed the dead fish on the ground beside her things. She would clean it later when she had a few more to take home with her. Seeing as there was not going to be any conflict between the pair, Regan thought it would be fitting to be polite and introduce herself. “My name is Regan, it’s nice to meet you.”

Sarah listened as the other woman explained her reasons for being in the area. At the offer to join her, the brunette smiled.
"That'd be nice. I'm sure we'll co-inhabit well enough," she grinned. As she started to set her things down, she heard the other woman speak again.
>>"My name is Regan, it’s nice to meet you."
"Oh! I'm Sarah. It's nice to meet you too. It's not often I meet someone who likes to spend some time in the wild."
The brunette grinned as she rolled up her pant legs. It would be silly to take out her pole when there was someone in the stream. Her brother had had many hooks caught in his skin for something so simple. She waded into the water slowly, a little further down stream than Regan. She turned so she was facing the current and waited.
"Do you come out here often?" she asked quietly. Though she should be quiet to not scare the fish, it felt strange not knowing anything about the other occupant in the stream.
