The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Serena wandered through the mansion grounds aimlessly for a few minutes, she wasn't entirely sure where she should go looking for Regan, well, she thought she'd start at the green house. A voice in her head mumbled something about her not asking Liz for directions before leaving this morning, shut it she shot back.
She walked around the grounds humming, she was loving the mansion, everyone was so friendly, she had an awesome Roommate, with a very obnoxious parrot. Serena mentally giggled at the thought. Even though she had an annoying bird as an extra roommate, he was sort of amusing. She had to admit.
Serena was dressed in a turquoise tee shirt, her new bracelet from her brother, and even her new blood red hair pins, funnily enough, she had actually acquired both on the same night that she had met Regan.
She walked around, continuing to hum, only getting the occasional odd look from other students, a fair few of them had already seen her around and seen that she was a little odd, yet very bubbly and friendly, so most of those people didn't really question her being in such a nice mood.
She turned the corner, she could see a small building, comprised of mostly glass, she knew what such a building would be called... It was the greenhouse at the mansion. Serena approached it, she saw a familiar bipedal cat standing inside.
Serena picked up pace and opened the door "Helloooooooo" She said, barely containing giggles at seeing her furry friend again.

Regan had decided to get some more work done around the green house while she had some free time. There was so much work to be done to get the green house back into working shape. The fight with Kaitlyn really did a number on the place, but at least the handy man had managed to get the door put back on, but the glass was still busted out and there were plants all over the place.
Working on organizing the plants into the piles that she was going to repot and salvage, Regan hummed softly. Her ears flicked back as she heard someone approaching the green house and that person quickly was picking up their pace to get there faster.
Regan turned just as Serena came into the green house with a big hello and a happy smile. “Well hello to you too Serena! It’s good to see you!” Regan said excitedly, it had been a little while since she had seen her new friend and she was a welcomed sight indeed. “What brings you to the green house today?”
Serena's smile grew as she stepped into the room and moved towards Regan, then it changed into a grin. "Actually, I came to see you Regan, I wanted to see how you were doing, and if you would like a hand." The warm feelings that flowed from that British accent could light up a whole room.
As the morning sun filtered through the windows of the green house Serena stepped closer to Regan and pulled her into a hug, ignoring the mess of the greenhouse for a moment. "How have you been?" Serena asked.
It was nice that it was relatively mild weather today, Serena was getting away with just a T-shirt and a pair of jeans. She loved it when she could be more versatile with what she wore.

Serena’s words filled Regan’s heart with some much needed joy. Things had been rather crazy lately and she just needed some girl time with one of her friends, but with Butterfly gone for now, and Serena being so busy, she amused herself with her plants. That was when her train of thought was interrupted with a warm hug.
Regan hugged Serena back tightly and started to purr. “It’s so good to see you Serena. I’ve missed you! Things have been so crazy lately, all I want is some good time spent with a good friend. How are you doing?”
Regan was wearing one of her classic green tank tops and a pair of blue jeans under her apron. She was so content hugging Serena, to feel some closeness to someone, someone who liked her and didn’t want to hurt her, emotionally or physically for a change.
Serena giggled at Regan's purring, it was so sweet, some people may have thought it was awkward, but Serena thought it was really nice, a lovely show of affection. Serena was really happy to have decided to come out here to see Regan today.
"Not too bad thanks, still haven't started classes, was meant to this week, but there was a mix up with something, Little nervous to tell you the truth." And she probably had reason to be, high school was bad enough as it was, without the class having powers... but a group of high schoolers, with potentially explosive powers...
Serena smiled at Regan "Love what you've done with the place," Serena said in a sarcastic, yet playful tone. "Need a hand?"

Regan’s purring continued as she finished hugging Serena and pulled away to look her in the face. She started to talk about starting school and she smiled a fanged grin. “Well that’s too bad about the mix up. Are you getting excited to start at least? I always enjoyed class time with my ‘Father’.” She said with a soft sigh, she sure did miss him.
A small laugh escaped her maw as Serena made a playful comment about the green house and offered a hand. “Yeah well this handy work was not all my fault. Had a young mutant sneak in one night and well, we shared some of our powers with one another.” She gave a slight chuckle. “I’ll welcome the help for sure, it’s going to be a big job getting this place back together.”
Regan stepped away from Serena to get her an apron so her nice outfit wouldn’t get ruined by the dirt. “Here, you should put this on so you don’t ruin your shirt. By the way I love that color on you, it really brings out the color of your eyes.”
Serena responded with a smile to Regan "Yeah, I am. I hope the teachers are nice." Serena wondered what classes she would be starting with... She hadn't really had many oppurtunities to try art at her old school, she wondered if they taught it here.
Serena simply nodded to Regan's comment about it being a lot of work. It was the weekend and she didn't really have any other obligations so that was no problem at all.
She nodded again as Regan went and fetched her an apron so that her shirt wouldn't get dirty. Serena blushed. "thank you!" She hadn't been expecting such a lovely compliment.
Regan chuckled at Serena’s comment. So far everyone that Regan had met at the mansion had been nice people. There was yet to be a person she didn’t like. “I think that you’ll be alright, so far everyone here has been great. Haven’t met a mean person as of yet.”
Smiling, Regan gave Serena a nod before walking over to the work table and putting up a few of the damaged plants. “Well we can start by trimming up the damaged bits off of these plants.” She smiled and motioned for Serena to come over and handed her a pair of trimmers. Taking a damaged leaf in her clawed hand she showed Serena how to carefully trim it away without damaging the plant even more. “A damaged leaf or flower is like a hangnail. It hurts the plant, weakens it, once we trim it away, the plant can heal and continue growing.”
Serena nodded to Regan. "Ok." Serena watched as Regan slowly cut off the particular section and then explained it to Serena, She smiled at Regan. "Your really good with that! Where did you learn so much about gardening?"
Serena wondered what being raised in Ireland had been like for Regan, She kept reffering to her father in a strange way. Had he been a pastor or something? She wondered what it was like.
Regan returned Serena’s smile and giggled. She was glad that someone noticed how much she loved plants and took pride in her work. She trimmed another section of the damaged plant away and turned the plant to inspect for further damage. “I was always interested in plants once I moved here with my “Father”. I read so many books on plants that he eventually had a small green house built for me. I spent hours in there taking care of the plants, sure I had a few failures along the way, but I learned and got better. Now I know enough to take care of almost any plant.” She grinned at Serena and placed the trimmed plant over in a sunny area of the green house before picking up another damaged one from her pile on the floor.
“I think if you set your mind on something, you can learn to do anything. That was something “Father” used to tell me. He always believed that I could do anything I wanted to, I just had to set my mind to it.” She smirked and went back to trimming the plant she had in front of her, watching closely out of the corner of her eye to make sure that Serena was getting the hang of it as well.
Serena had a peaceful smile on her face as Regan talked and as they both trimmed the plants. Serena was quickly getting the hang of it, she was just about keeping pace with Regan. She wondered exactly whom this 'father' Regan kept referring to was.
Serena turned slightly to smile at Regan. "Um, so when you say your 'father' do you mean biological? Or adoptive.... I was just wondering because there is something about the way you say it that makes me curious." Serena hoped she wasn't being offensive, but her curiosity had gotten the better of her.
She wondered if it was really Regan's biological father, as far as Serena knew, most mutants with very apparent appearances tend to get shunned by the communities they are raised in.
When Serena asked about Regan’s father, she gave a half smile. She sighed softly and started at the plant she was working on as she spoke. “Sadly he wasn’t my real father. He rescued me from Ireland during a visit and brought me back here. He was an older man, never had his own children and couldn’t bear seeing what was happening to me. He never told me his name, just told me to call him ‘Father’.” She zoned out for a moment and just stared off into space before snapping back to reality and giving Serena a small smile. “I loved him like he was my real father though.”
After looking down at Serena’s plant, Regan placed a clawed hand on Serena’s back. “Look at you go, you’re a natural Serena!” Regan was really impressed by the skill that Serena had with the trimmers and the plants. “You can come help me any time.”
Serena listen as Regan explained who her father was, and smiled, he sounded like a wonderful man. She was glad that somebody had found and helped Regan, just like Tses had done for her. It warmed Serena's heart that there were so many caring people out there, who would stop to help someone in need, without a second thought.
"He sounds awesome." Serena said quietly with a warm feeling, reverberating from her voice.
Regan commented on how quickly Serena had picked it up and that she was a natural she turned her head to Regan and cocked it to the side slightly and grinned "Thank you! I've always been able to pick up on things relatively fast. I guess its one of my few talents."
Serena felt so at peace here, on a quiet, sunny morning, chopping dead branches off of plants and bringing life back to the once dead plants.

Regan returned Serena’s smile with one of her own. “He was an amazing man. I was very lucky that he found me. I may not be alive today if it weren’t for him.” That thought made a shiver run up her spine and she shook. She wished she could just forget her horrible past but it really stuck to her.
“That is a great talent to have Serena. It makes you very adaptable. That makes you very talented.” She smiled and got a few more plants on the table for them to trim. They were making their way through the pile of damaged plants very quickly. They would be able to move on to watering soon at this pace. Regan was really happy to have Serena’s help. It was also nice to have the company of a friend. Maybe once they were done, they could do something fun together.
Serena giggled at Regan's compliment, she really enjoyed her feline friend's company. Serena felt the warm morning sun wash over her as she trimmed the plants with her friend, days like this were so rare this time of year, so she was glad that she was at least doing something sort of outside.
She smiled as she began trimming the new load which Regan pulled onto the table "I'm glad I decided to come and see you today." Serena actually felt quite at peace around these plants, it was odd, she had never thought of herself as the gardening type, but this was actually quite pleasant.
She wondered how much Regan enjoyed this job? She seemed to love it, maybe that is why she was hired. She then wondered if it was Gemma who had hired her. She had seemed rather nice when they had met the night after Serena had arrived, she had also been the one to officially accept Serena into the mansion.
