The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Regan smiled at Serena and continued working on her plants. Trimming here, snipping there. It was a calm and peaceful job that she took pride in. Regan didn’t think she was good at many things in life, but working with plants was her strength.
“I’m glad you came by too. I like having your company. So what else are you up to today?” Regan wondered. Things had become rather silent between the two as they worked on the plants. Though that did tend to happen when in a peaceful place like the green house, the sun shining in the windows, and the warmth of it on their skin. This was one of the best places to be in the whole world to Regan and she was sharing it with one of her best friends.
Serena was seriously enjoying this... She was still a little shocked to find out that she enjoyed gardening this much, Although, she shouldn't really be surprised, she had spent most of her life in small apartment buildings. So the openness of the mansion and the gardens were amazingly pleasant.
Serena giggled. "This is all I've planned so far... I've sort of been doing whatever I feel like at the time so far and I thought that It'd be lovely to come and visit you, turns out I was right. Serena followed swiftly with another giggle.
A flower petal fell off of one of the plants and landed on the floor, Serena bent down and cradled it in her palm, plant life, so fragile, yet so much beauty was in them. "What about you, is this your whole day then?" She giggled again.
Serena wondered why nobody ever got angry with her near-constant giggling...
Regan smiled as she finished her last plant. “Voila!” She said with her clawed hands on her hips, clearly proud of the work they had accomplished so far. She listened to Serena speak and she responded in kind. “I don’t have anything else planned for today so far. I was expecting to have to spend my day out here working alone, but since you’ve helped me out, I’m done early!” She said excitedly.
She started cleaning up the work bench and took off her apron and hung it up on a hook before moving to the basin to wash her furry hands. “So what would you like to do now? I have the rest of the day off now thanks to you, maybe we could do something that you like to do?”
Serena giggled as they had finsihed their job, that was quite supprisingly fun... She wondered how long that would have taken Regan on her own... Was Serena actually slowing her down, or did it go much faster beacause she had been there? She wasn't entirely sure, afterall that had been her first time doing an activity like that one.
She smiled, she had helped. They had finished early, Serena put that her unexpected arival had put a chink in Regan's plans. She was feeling fantastic, she was practically glowing with happiness.
She pondered Regan's question for a moment what could they do?... Well, it was a beautiful day outside, so what would be something fun that they could do, maybe outside, She wasn't quite sure. Maybe lunch, out in the sun, yes that sounded good.
Serena turned to Regan, giving that signature smile "Hey, seeing as it's such a nice day, how about I make us some lunch and some tea or something and we can eat it out on some benches or something and enjoy the nice day~"

A picnic with tea in the sunshine, that sounded absolutely wonderful! It was a beautiful day and what better way to spend it? “Ok Serena, that sounds like a great plan! I can help you make the lunch and tea if you’d like.”
Regan took Serena’s apron from her and hung it up next to her own as she looked around and made sure everything was in place before they decided to lock up the greenhouse and head out for the afternoon. “Well I think all is in order, let’s head out to the kitchen, now I’m hungry!” She laughed and started to head to the door to hold it open and let Serena go out first.
Serena dusted herself off as Regan took her apron away from her. Now, what should she make for lunch... She smiled as she walked past her furry friend, she felt the sun wash over her with it's gentle radiance.
She turned back to smile and Regan and was practically glowing with happiness. She wondered what Regan liked to eat, she was feline after all and seemed to purr just like a regular feline, so did she like to eat raw meet and things like fish? Did she like to hunt birds or other animals?
Serena's mind drifted back to the first night had spent at the mansion, in december, when she had lost her brother, discovered she was a mutant and met a young girl and a werewolf in one evening. She remembered Emerald mentioning something about the vensison she had still left in the fridge from a previous hunt.
Serena wondered, did Regan have a similiar experiance to Emerald, did she enjoy hunting animals as prey?
She decided that it was probably best not to wonder these things, for if she was meant to find out about them, she would learn in time from Regan.
Serena lead Regan to the kitchen and noted that nobody else was around, the had gotten here a while before lunch, and most people where either in class or out enjoying the wonderful day. "So, what shall we make for lunch?" Serena asked her feline friend.

Regan followed Serena out of the greenhouse and locked the door behind her. The warm sun on her fur was soothing and it made her purr lightly as she closed her eyes and took in a deep breath of the air around her. The wonderful scents of an approaching Spring filled her cat like nose. The melting snow, the freshness in the air, it was all so wonderful. She wondered if Serena could smell such things with her human nose. She guessed that she could but just not to the same degree that her feline self could. There were a few things that she liked about being a cat, and her sense of smell was one of them.
Once they had arrived in the empty kitchen, Serena asked what they should have for lunch. Regan shrugged her fur covered shoulders and smiled softly. “I’m not really picky to be honest. I like pretty much everything. Just make sure if we are having meat, that it’s cooked! My other self may not mind the taste and texture of raw flesh sliding down her throat, but this part of me is more human and sophisticated.” The feline said with a laugh.
She did really enjoy Serena’s company quite a bit and she was glad that they had become friends. It was nice to be able to feel normal around someone for a change, instead of feeling like a freak. Serena seemed to see past the fur and her feline traits to the person that was underneath. Regan would never be able to express her gratitude and appreciation for that. Finally breaking the little moment of self thought, she asked, “Is there anything I can do to help?”
Serena smiled to Regan and turned slightly. She was making Sandwich's, a pot of tea and scones. "Urm, it'd be nice if you could find a board or something for us to carry this outside on." She giggled. This would be a nice lunch.
Serena reached into one of the cabinets and pulled out some tea cups. Serena was good at multi-tasking, and it showed. She also was brewing tea while throwing ham and cheese into sandwiches.
"So Regan... How did you end up in New York? You clearly have an accent." Serena murmured, making conversation as best she could while she was busy making food and drink.

At Serena’s request, Regan turned on her heels and started looking around the large kitchen to try and find something to carry out their food on. She was looked back at Serena working away in the kitchen like a professional chef and she smiled. That girl could really multitask.
It wasn’t too long before Regan had managed to find a large serving tray in one of the cabinets and brought it back over to where Serena was running around the kitchen. As things got finished, Regan silently placed them on the tray and waited for the next item. Then Serena asked a question that the feline really didn’t want to answer. She shuffled around a bit, but decided that Serena was not one to judge and she was a good friend. She could tell her story if she wanted to hear it.
“Well it’s a bit of a long story, but the short version is that my “Father” found me in Ireland and brought me back here with him so I could have a better life.” She only gave a crumb of information for the moment. It was a very long story, so she was only going to tell it once she was sure that Serena wanted to hear it all.
