The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

The thing leaning forward on the branch so that it dropped lower under the canopy. “Every other person I’ve seen on the street carries a gun not a sword.” She noted out loud. Horus looked up to the "the thing" it was a mix between a human and a cat, interesting for sure but Horus didn't saw any thread in it and had put his sword back in his arm. "Bye"
Horus walked away from the branch where the cat girl was sitting on and was still trying to find his way to the sanctuary. It wouldn't take long for the cops to reach it, since the mansion was already hit. He took one more interesting look in the creature, since he used to be half animal he knew what struggles there could be in the beginning, but when he became a god all troubles were vanish away. Walking back and now standing near the branch again he started talking with more words "upto what you are?"
Up to what she was? Of course. Why wouldn’t she be? Sara nodded answering his question. He was clearly off to somewhere. The fact he had put her sword away was a big plus on her charts. Ha! No cries of surprise or finger pointing.
“Where were you headed?” Sara asked. She didn’t know much about his one but it had been clear he was going somewhere.
< "There's a gym with a pool and a hot tub, all the necessities. Have you had the tour yet?"
Yeah... definitely gotta be careful about male bodies, Sonya reminds herself yet again. Amp's hint had been about as subtle as being hit with a two-by-four.
So what do I do now? Sonya figures the real owner of this body would probably jump at the implied opportunity... no, no probably about it, judging from how her pulse-rate seems to have doubled. Would backing off arouse suspicions, then? Judging from her "moving men" Sonya guesses that Amp is not used to men rejecting her, and the last thing she needs is to have the twins wondering why. And the goofy foot-shuffling thing is only going to encourage them.
Finally she makes a decision: if she's going to do this thing, then she had better do it. Maybe she can get more information about how Sanctuary really works from the twins in a more relaxed environment... and, really, how far are they going to try to go with a guy they just met, right?
She squelches the sense that she's going to regret finding out the answer to that, and turns back to Amp. "Well, I got the tour the last time I was here, but there's so much to --"
She's cut off by the sudden arrival of a half-dozen hulking men in combat gear. "Holy -- what the hell?"
< “Ladies, I fear things are about to get dangerous here, you need to get ready for battle. Those of you that aren’t with us, I suggest you join and soon.”
Which was not at all what Sonya had expected to hear. "What?!? Dangerous how? Battle with who? Listen, if that's some kind of threat..." She trails off, not quite knowing how to end the sentence, given the size of the guns this little army is carrying.
To his question the cat like lady only responded with nodding meaning she was doing or going to do something. “Where were you headed?” she then asked. Horus looked back to the road, starring with his eye's in to the depths of the road streched out infront of him. A cold breeze came up and he turrned back the cat woman while rubbing his hands over each other. "Golden doors, Sanctuary, Know you where is?" He hoped she could help him get further, if he would come late at his destination he would grieve over his new friends. He found a place where he had help to revenge on the humands who had put him away. He had to get to Syn and the others, no matter what it costs, even if it would mean traveling with this stranger
Another nod in response. “I was at the sanctuary a few days ago.” Sara admitted. With a flick of her tail to help keep her balance, she leaned back on the branch. Letting it momentarily bright her back up into the canopy before she dropped down again. Lightly landing on her feet. Knees bent before straightening. A backpack with all of her belongings rested on her shoulders. There was something about his expression and tone of voice telling her things should be prompt.
“It’s a short run down that way.” She said with a nod in the direction of her head. “Up to it?”
The cat woman nodded again. “I was at the sanctuary a few days ago.” “It’s a short run down that way.” She said with a nod in the direction of her head. “Up to it?”
Horus smile was wider then ever, it was like an angel, well this time cat, came from heaven and guided him on his path the those Golden doors. "You thank, Yes." Horus nodded, smiled and bowed for the car woman. "Maybe, Good friendship new" He raised up again and looked in the depths again. "We hurry need, cold, They me need" Horus looked her serious in the eye's when he said those words. "Time to lose none" He started walking figuring she would follow him and eventually take the lead.
Sara froze slightly at the bow. A bow? Something she had only seen in pictures or on TV when actors were finished with a performance and thanking the audience. It was a new angle and so an odd new feeling for her.
There was a few beats that Sara had let him walk. Seeming to forget she could move on her own at all. Oh yeah. Legs! With a quicker smooth stride she suddenly took the lead.
"Well, I got the tour the last time I was here, but there's so much to -- Holy -- what the hell?"
Vibe rolled her eyes and huffed when Abyss and his clones clomped in and cut Sonny's promising-sounding sentence short. Both girls crossed arms and tapped feet irritably.
“Ladies, I fear things are about to get dangerous here, you need to get ready for battle. Those of you that aren’t with us, I suggest you join and soon.”
"Battle? What battle?" For a moment both girls wondered if the big red mutant had started a game of high-combat tag, or something similarly corny.
"What?!? Dangerous how? Battle with who? Listen, if that's some kind of threat..." Sonny seemed to be taking Abyss more seriously.
"The bill that they passed, the mutant registration bill, it is being enforced heavily, apparently they are enforcing with a force to be reckoned with, as they took out the mansion moments ago. Sorry to interrupt Sonny, but I just got word they are most likely heading this way."
"They actually passed that bill?" The Twins exchanged a confused look; neither of them kept up with current events, though obviously they should have.
>Wait, the Mansion? As in, X-dweeb headquarters?< Another look passed between the girls, this time decidedly unsettled. They hadn't heard from Fade in a few days.....
Suddenly Amp began laughing. "Nice prank Abyss. Come on, any idiot with any bit of sneaking training could raid the Mansion. We've done it before, and we didn't even need to sneak in." That was a bit of a stretch, but it sounded good. "Even if these 'enforcers' did take it out, what makes you think they can get to us?" She looked at Syn, as if for confirmation.
Vibe stepped around Sonny and stood close to her sister. She could tell Amp wasn't as confident as she sounded, which didn't help dissipate the sudden pit Vibe felt forming in her gut.
Syn watched her brother and his clones come storming in looking like giant sized action figures. She noticed Amp's some what concerned look as she made her statement about making Sanctuary sound impregnable.
"I honestly don't know their capabilites. While we do have more defensive measures than the Mansion seems to they may still get in somehow."
She then addressed all who were in the area. "I agree with my brother. If you are thinking of joining us then now would be a good time."
Syn looked to Lisa and nodded to the woman who immediately started sending out the evactuation warning for all those who weren't wanting to fight. The ones who wanted to make a stand would be directed to to the front entrance.
(Yes I know I am putting Sara in potential danger here. It’s a sacrifice to get everyone together so things can start.)
Sara had led the way. Keeping her steps quick, smooth, and hardly any noise to them. Of course the fact she couldn’t’ find shoes to fit her feet helped.
They reached the front of Sanctuary, dwarfed by the large doors. HA! They were here. She knew she could find the place again. A pause at the door, sniffing the air, told her it should be clear. No new scents from her last visit. Then again on her last visit there wasn’t more then one Abyss and his clones dressed in armor and toting big Guns. No Sara didn’t know what she would see on the other side. Sara pushed the door open and.. .. .. ..
They reached the front of Sanctuary. The nice golden doors, Horus almost drooled of excitement, this was the second time he felt joy, the other time was when he was named a god. Yes, yes they were now in front of the golden doors.
"Job nice" Horus felt awkward and knew about Mandain his health condition. He reached for the pocket in Mandain his pants, "Yes" he whispered, he found the pills for his blood. He saw the cat woman reaching for those doors and stood waiting for what would to come. Hoping to see Syn and some more mutants he stood and waited for the scene to come.
"I honestly don't know their capabilites. While we do have more defensive measures than the Mansion seems to they may still get in somehow. I agree with my brother. If you are thinking of joining us then now would be a good time."
>That's not what I wanted to hear....< Vibe visibly paled. Amp place a protective arm over her shoulders.
Because she was nervous, Vibe had unconsciously began sending out vibrations through the ground. Even though she really wasn't paying attention, her awareness spread out across the foyer, down the halls, and past the golden doors.
A faint sound reach her ears, and her head snapped sideways. Amp picked up on it immediately, and she sent a high-pitched screech flying in the direction of the doors, just as they opened. Those near the twins would hear it, though not painfully so. However, unless they ducked, whoever was on the other side of the doors would hear it at full pitch.
It was a reaction to her sister's fear, and Amp suddenly felt her heart start to pound. For Vibe's sake, she tried her best to reassure herself that there was no reason to worry. They had taken on the NYPD before, numerous times. What could be worse? SWAT? Military? They were just glorified cops with better weapons. But who could aim a gun when their ears were on fire or their stomaches were lurching? This would just be like any other chaotic fight. And hadn't they just been asking Syn when the next 'party' was?
And if worst came to worst, and they had to abandon the Sanctuary, so what? They'd lived on the streets for a year with no problem. Registration was just an irritant, something they'd have to watch there step a bit closer for. That's all.
Sara was just opening the door when it was like she was punched in the ear drums. The screech halted her. Sara’s hands clapped against her sensitive ears, eyes squeezing shut. The screech was all she could hear, over powering her other senses. Pain shot from her ears through her head. Then vibrated down her tensed spine.
She dropped to her knees, still clapping her hands against her ears. Her eyes blinked repeatedly trying to focus on the group of mutants a head of her.
Isabel had been off painting in her room, standing up on her bed in order to reach the wall above it, old newspaper pages crinkling loudly under her feet, having been spread over the bed and floor to catch any stray drips of color. She was just working on the highlights of a clown fish when the evacuation warning caught her attention. Now what on earth could that be all about? The memory of the little lock down demonstration in the food war a while back was enough motivation to get her moving, taking of the paint-coated apron she was wearing and hanging it on her doorknob after having dropped her brushes and paint into the bathroom sink to rest in order to prevent the wet paint form getting all over anything else. Leaving her door a few inches open out of newly formed habit, she made her way down to the foyer, casting quizzical looks at some of the other residents as she passed.
Alright, so let's see, there was Syn and the Twins, Abyss and his clones in some sort of battle-ready getup and packing some heavy machinery, some well-muscled male she didn't know, and a feline-looking woman at the door holding her head. She could understand the woman's actions, as she could hear a slightly muted pitch ringing in her ears, which could only mean the Twins were up to something. "What's with the alarm?" she inquired as she approached and slowed to a stop, wiping at a small smudge of orange paint on her cheek before crossing her arms and letting her gaze flit between each person. "I've obviously missed something important. Care to clue me in?"
I’m just a well-adjusted gal who likes to leave a serious amount of mayhem in her wake.
As the cat woman opened the door a screeching sound was made, it was just an alarm or something like that but the cat lady seemed to have difficulties with the sound, she collapsed on her knees while holding her hands or paws or whatever on her ears. Horus only gave a blank expression and could just hold the door from closing again. As he walked in he saw Abyss with his clones coming to wards him and gettuing Sara, and the soem others were now also aroudn Horus. As he looked inside he saw a female he didn't recognize, the twins, a male he didn't know and of course Syn. "Coming they are" as he now was standing near the rest he bowed and grinned with an evil touch, as he almost always did. "Ready hope I" He walked over to the the female bowing again, and vice versa at the man. "Be greeted" Horus walked over to Syn but stopped, he took a good look around the hallway, it was a nice scene to see. He continued to Syn, "Careful, dangerous be can they" Horus looked around the room and liked the clones of Abyss, the swat style gave them an extra touch.
