The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Tses made a face at Regan's name and grumbled, picking up a cd player from the sink and looking at it. "Yeah, that's her. Frickin' goodie-two-shoes. Can't believe she's Chloe's friend." Tses really didn't know why she didn't get along with the feline mutant, but their encounter hadn't really reassured her of any possibility of them becoming friends. After getting pinned to a tree by her throat, it was pretty clear where they stood. There would be some fur flying if they ever ran into each other again. Amber, she may get along with ok. But Regan had hit a sore spot she really didn't want to feel again. They had seen her in pain, and that alone made her feel uncomfortable with the idea they knew anyone she did. If they told Ty what she'd been like while he was gone...
It was better left in the past.
"I think stealing big stuff like this is too hard to hide so no wonder they're caught. I like stealing petty things no one would miss. A $5 bill here, a phone there, an ipod. People are too protective about larger electronics. Otherwise I'd probably have got myself a laptop by now." She remarked, and scanned for any computers while she was at it. It would be nice if there was one.

Ty chuckled, navigating through the mess. "She's not that bad. I kinda like her, honestly. Found her in the woods that day you told me to take a day to go relax." Okay, it wasn't so much a mess as everything was pretty well organized. Bags, TVs in the bathtub, Ipods and CD players and the like in the sink, and next to the TVs...
"I see like three laptops over here next to the TVs. You can check those out. And yeah, part of why I quit running with the clowns." He shrugged, working to the back corner of the small bathroom. "They really fit a lot of crap in here. ...What the...." Ty blinked, picking up a moderate-sized jar filled with..."Those better not be what I think they are." Yep...they were. Condoms.
Tses rolled her eyes, and scoffed slightly at Ty's comment. "Not that bad? She threw me into a tree and threatened to practically eat me because I threw an explosive at her precious little tail. She's got anger issues. I don't care what you say, not my favorite person in the world. Then again, you wouldn't really do anything to piss her off that bad. Unless you like read the life history of her bra." She shot him a look that was part teasing and part a little vicious. It was hard to tell which was which with Tses because she could be nice and evil at the same time. She was gifted that way.
She moved over to the laptops, and picked up one after the other, examining the hardware. She let out a low whistle and smiled as she checked out the specs on the back. "750GB hard drive, 8GB memory. Bet you it's a gaming laptop, and that would leave almost a gig just for graphics alone...they had good taste."
She pushed the on button, and waited for it to boot, then smirked as the password screen appeared. "But so amateur. They haven't even got passed the password yet." She pushed aside a spot to sit, and then started clicking away at the keyboard. After a short while there was the sound of the laptop logging into windows, and she grinned like a kid in the candy store. "I was right. Gaming laptop. Their loss, my gain." She moved into the settings, changed the password, cleared most of the original owners files of the hard drive, then shut it down and tucked it into the backpack. She had tuned out most of Ty's talking, but when she looked up, he was holding a jar, and she felt her gaze sharpen on him. "If you even think about keeping those..." She said in a warning growl, watching him with less amusement on her face now.

Ty didn't say anything. He knew that of all people, he was probably the most....accepting of Tses's personality type. There were those that didn't put up with any crap, and it seemed likely that Regan could be one of them.
Ty chuckled lightly at the bra comment, thinking to himself that there was only one bra he'd like to see the history of, but that was another matter entirely. Speaking of which...
Ty sighed, tossing the jar over his shoulder, shattering against the wall and sending the colorful contents showering down in a cascade of broken glass away from the two of them, and the electronic devices in question.
"What would I need them for?" Ty muttered dryly. "Not that I expect to get any sometime soon...or ever." He sighed, picking up a cell phone that looked rather interesting, then pocketed it. Maybe it could prove useful later. Unlike other certain things scattered about the room.
Tses felt her frown deepening, and she was no longer looking at the electronics. She didn't even glance around as the glass broke against the wall. She was too irritated by his comment, and her entertainment with this holiday was wearing thin. What felt like a growl formed in her throat, and she took a deep breath through her nose, trying to stay calm. But she was loosing it. "Well, I'm sorry you feel that way, but I didn't think dating you would have to revolve around whether or not you got laid." She grumbled, and crossed her arms across her chest. When he made comments like that it made him sound like all he thought about was ....stuff, instead of just hanging out and having fun. She turned her back at him, and stared at the wall, feeling angry tears pricking her eyes. Rather than throwing something at him or lashing out this time, she recoiled, and it was evident in her body language. He hurt her with his comment.
"I think I'm done looking at stuff now." She muttered softly, staring at a spot on the wall and refusing to look at him. The spot was slightly circled shaped, but drooped down in the middle, almost like a teardrop. It seemed fitting for this moment. Her hands were shaking, and little glimmers of green energy flickered across her arms, her hands wedged tightly against her body in fists. She didn't want to hear what he had to say now. She just wanted to go home.

"It doesn't," Ty replied. "In fact, most of the time I think it revolves around whether or not hugging you will get me killed! I love you, I do. But it's not exactly easy," he snapped.
"I try my best for you. I'd be willing to bet you only even came with me today because your little comments at first upset me...I like the fun. I like the adventure. What I'm not liking is the hostility. It makes me afraid, okay? All I know is, if throwing shit at me is how you show your love, please don't hate me anytime soon." Ty then picked up another phone, throwing it at the same spot the jar had, sending it into a million pieces as well. It helped, some...but it didn't solve anything.
"Maybe I'm just foolish for thinking this would actually work..." With that, he turned, stomping into the living area.
The spot on the wall never moved. it stayed in the exact same spot, same shape, same coloration. But in Tses' eyes, it was danging, glimmering, and then turning into a melted puddle as tears pooled in her eyes, then stained her cheeks on the way to the bathroom floor. She stayed sitting in the loot filled room, staring at a stain on the wall, and wishing with everything in her heart to just be invisible and melt off the face of the earth. Her trembling moved from her hands to the rest of her body, and there was a small thud as she slid to the floor, burying her face in her knees.
Memories rippled through her mind of figures from her past. Figures that hurt her, made her feel helpless, towered over her and left her bruised and bloodied. The truth was, she couldn't pick out a single male figure from those memories that hadn't hurt her. Even Ty, although unintentionally. She tried being independent and strong, but it was just hiding the fear locked on the inside. People walked over her, made her feel like dirt under their shoes. So she did the same back. And that made her feel like the worst type of person. How could she have a relationship? How could she be with someone like Ty? Maybe he was right... Maybe it was dumb to think this would work. Maybe it was dumb to think they could be a normal couple.
Valentine's Day.
How could they ever have been so stupid?
The light traveled up her arms, and overtook her body. It crawled around her head and arms, until she was trapped in a cocoon of light. She looked like a flickering green candle, engulfed by the light of her powers. She would be ok. She had to be strong, she had to get past this. She was stronger than this. She couldn't let something dumb make her so upset. Slowly, she stopped crying, and stopped shaking. She stood, and grabbed the backpack off the counter, hugging it to her chest and walking out to the living room. She didn't look at Ty, she just stared at the front door. "Maybe I should go home." She said quietly, the green energy flicking across her shoulder. She managed to keep it from crawling all over the laptop at least. She didn't want to mess it up.

Ty wasn't crying, for once. He was infuriated, face beet red, shaking. A large purple vein poked out of his forehead. He stared at the wall, away from her, biting his lip as he clenched his fists. Then, she spoke, breaking the tense silence.
"Fine. Go home. I think I'll go, too. To Sanctuary." he said. "I...I can't take this anymore. The ups, the downs, the violence, just for trying to be the best boyfriend I can...Tses," he said, his voice low and dark, as he turned, walking slowly for the open door. "It's done. I'm done....Sorry for wasting your ****ing time."
The words cut deep, and Tses tried to keep it together. At least for now. Reaching up to her neck, she gave a sharp tug on the golden chain that was there, and then dropped the necklace on the floor next to her. The little moon hit the group with what felt like the loudest noise she'd ever head, and she didn't say a word. She just moved out door and walked out, tears streaming down her face. The little drops of water splattered around the moon, drowning the crescent in dust and debris.
And then she was running. Out of the house, down the alley, back home. She stopped only long enough to put the backpack in the corner, and to rip the moon earring out of her ears. She threw them across the living room, and they landed somewhere in the kitchen. She wasn't sure where, and she didn't bother looking. She threw his jacket with the backpack, and with her arms bare, she took off down the fire escape, and moved through Manhattan in a glowing green blur of energy. She didn't care who saw, she didn't care what people thought. She was done caring about people.
