The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

"Yeah, I hear ya," Ty replied with a slight chuckle. Then, he raised an eyebrow at her competitiveness. "You forget a shark is a kind of fish~" Ty replied sweetly. "And barracudas. Along with lots of other vicious little beasts. And you know I'm good. Even if lap-dogs set me back a little." He stuck his tongue out at her.
He laughed at her reaction to his happy valentine's, but he noticed the smile, which he returned sweetly as they walked. Reaching out, his green gloved hand grabbed her hand. "Would an I love you work better?" he asked sincerely.
Tses laughed aloud and put a hand on her hip, then giving him an almost cat-like smile. Coupled with her rather graceful manner of walking and lithe movements, she did have a certain cat-like element to her that agreed with her comment. "I don't see a shark cowering from a puppy. A gold-fish, maybe. And I can beat one of those no problem." She said with almost a pur. Then she blushed slightly as he took her hand, nearly stumbling on the sidewalk but hiding it. She glanced at him, then away, and then back almost a little shyly. It was funny to see someone so tough look so stumped by the little things.
"It's....nice to hear... But I think it's just your attempt to change the topic!" She quickly said, and her cheeks had a little pink tint. She couldn't resist running her finger across his, his new glove allowing their skin a nice bit of contact. The store they chose didn't seem to be too far from the mall, so the walk wouldn't be that long. But at least the short little trek was relaxing and comfortable. Even if they were holding hands on this silly day... She wouldn't admit how nice it was though.

"I don't cower! I like puppies. It's just a select few. Chihuahuas are annoying little rats, and poodles just suck. Maybe I just don't have the heart to hurt a dog. Steal from one though? No problem at all. Outsteal one? Definitely." He stuck his tongue out again.
"No, I love you. But you know what they say, right? When they can put their differences aside, the best partners are competitive rivals~" He winked as the mall neared view. "Maybe we should schedule another day and just pit our skills against one another. Then maybe...Iunno pull off something together? You know as long as Harlan doesn't call me for the case, heh."
It was amusing to Tses for some reason when Ty got defensive. There was a certain way his mouth curved and his face changed color just subtly. Right now he still had a slight smile on his face that didn't go away, and he seemed to be enjoying the teasing at least. After a while, the things that would have at one time actually bothered them became those little things they could joke about. Even the bank robbery incident.
"I think that is a fun idea. I can finally show you that I can out rob you." Tses grinned. Then he mentioned Harlan and Tses growled. "Aweee you gotta check in with your baby sitter first? Way to kill the excitement.... Ugh, I don't like that guy." She murmured, a small amount of jealousy leaking into her words. In a way, she was just irked that he stubbed his nose at powers like hers. So what if she blew things up? That was useful in it's own way. She was a pretty fair locksmith because of it. But all people like that saw were things that were beneficial to 'society'. Explosives could be beneficial... maybe...

"I'm not either, but he pays okay. Besides, it's well worth telling that guy when he's wrong." Though Ty wouldn't admit it, the redhead hated being wrong just as much. "What I meant was, can you imagine me trying to cover up the fact that I'm trying to solve my own crime? Talk about irony."
He chuckled softly, having to admit he loved how those little things that annoyed them were now what they joked back and forth about. Heh, maybe they'd make it, after all. This made Ty smile more as they entered the mall. He looked around, leading her to the theater.
Though he was starting to realize how much he loved the fact that these green gloves left more of his hand exposed.
Tses shrugged her shoulders slightly, and pushed her hair out of her face with her free hand. As they moved into the mall, she felt a chuckle escape as she tried to imagine Ty trying to convince Harlan someone else committed a crime. "Yeah.... I think we would have to work on your lying abilities first." She said with a taunting expression, and followed him over to the theater. The mall was fairly busy today, and couples seemed to be everywhere. There were pink balloons and banners, and all kinds of 'cute' stuff she wanted to gag at. She almost pulled her hand away from his, then realized she was enjoying it too much, and she could handle being stereotypical for at least a few minutes.
"People sure get excited about Valentine's Day." Tses said, scoffing at a couple making out behind one of the clothes racks of a store they passed. She wasn't quite sure where one person started at the other ended, and she could only imagine the store employees reaction if he found them. "It feels weird having someone for it though... most years I just tried to explode peoples gifts when they walked past... I can behead a teddy bear from 4 stories up." She said. She sort of regretted that now. She couldn't imagine what she'd do if someone blew up her tiger.

Ty chuckled. "Hey, I don't pride myself on my lying skills," he answered as they walked through the pinked out mall. "Yeah. I used to hate it. I'd spend all day in my room crying because I never had anyone. Felt like it just rubbed my single status in my face.
"I don't see how people can make out and stuff like that in public..." Ty murmured, not really to Tses, just more of an observation. "I like having someone to spend it with. Though I don't condone destroying gifts. Well, if one gets rubbed in your face, then it's okay." He smiled as they neared the theater, and Ty ignored the weird look the lady gave him when he asked for two tickets to see Undead Zoo.
Ty shrugged, taking the two tickets and leading her into their cinema. "Well, we're the only two here. Seats are up to you~"
Tses gave a little shrug of her shoulders, and gave him a sheepish grin. "Hey, I never said it was the nicest thing to do. I have my....moments. You know. I throw things at people that don't deserve it, I yell at people... I make angry phone calls to random strangers pretending they're people I'm pissed off at.... Yeah, I'm not perfect." She said, and smiled at the name of the movie. It was ironic considering their previous conversation, and the last almost date they went on. The trip to the zoo had been fun, and now they were seeing a movie about an undead zoo.
As they went into the theater, Tses was surprised it was completely empty. It was nice, because then if they started laughing or talking no one would yell at them. Not that Tses would know. The closest she'd ever been to a theater was when she blew a hole through the ceiling of one by accident and ruined the uh, romantic scene of a love movie. There had been quite a bit of yelling and angry faces then. She could just imagine them acting similar if someone talked during a movie.

Ty gave a small shrug, smiling lightly. "Maybe you ain't perfect, but you're perfect for me~" he answered as they settled into a seat. Ty hadn't been to a theater since he was maybe five, but he had to say he loved the fact that they had this one all to themselves.
"Ya know, we have a little more freedom since we're the only one's here. No one to get pissed if we talk to loud or kiss or something," he said as the movie started.
The beginning of the movie reminded him very much of his and Tses's first date. A bunch of teenagers sneaked into a zoo. But that was where the similarities stopped. Once inside, they couldn't get out. And at night, the animals and all the employees turned into...
Ty cringed. "Zombies," he muttered to himself, "Had to be zombies...."
Tses resisted rolling her eyes. It was hard though. The idea of kissing here in the theater was so... cute. She hated it. Well, she told herself she hated it. There was a lot of ambiguity in her emotions today, and if he tried anything the results could be mixed. It was like trying to get the right mix of chemicals. You dump it all in too fast, it may just blow up in your face.
As the movie started, she smirked slightly. The opening was a little boring, but when the zombies finally arrived she grinned widely, and sat forward in her seat slightly to watch. A zombie wolf broke free of it's cage, and was loose looking for someone to eat. She hoped they took a leg off. That would be pretty awesome. "What else would there be in 'undead zoo?' Zombies are like.... the only undead other than like, maybe some form of vampire." Tses chuckled. Some unsuspecting human in the film was getting their throat torn out by a zombie tiger. She playfully put a hand over Ty's eyes. "Don't look, there might be some blood and, hey is that their spine showing?" She grinned evilly, then settled back into her seat.
"You're lucky I don't have zombie powers. There would be all kinds of chaos." She purred slightly.

"Actually, I'm more comfortable with zombie animals, for some reason," Ty replied with a chuckle. "Hey! Lemme see!" he commented, pulling her hand away from his eyes just in time to see.
"If you had zombie powers, this probably wouldn't work out," he teased, then suddenly remembered Miles. Well, that was something he could have gone without thinking about. Especially today.
"Heh..." Ty chuckled as one of the five remaining teens beat off a zombie zookeeper with a two-by-four, only to be pounced by the wolf. "See, this is why you never go off alone in a horror flick, and if you hear a noise, you damn sure shouldn't see what it is....idiots." He chuckled lightly, looking at Tses.
Tses smirked at T, and tried to keep blocking the screen. She tilted her head to the side and gave him a bratty little smile. "I'm not sure you get to look. I think I should just make you squirm instead. Wonder what's going on. Who is going to die. Oh, wait, there goes another guard..." Eventually, she let her hand drop a bit, and she chuckled quietly.
"You act like you know a zombie mutant or something. Or zombie animals? I'll have to meet them sometime... " She said, and settled back into her seat. When there was a rather dramatic pause in the movie, no attacking, a figure slowly trying to make their way through the night, Tses reached out and jabbed Ty in the side. If she was lucky, he would not only squeal but jump this time.

Ty pulled at her hand. "Hey, come on..." he fake-whined, sticking his tongue out at her. "I sorta do," Ty replied with a shrug. "He can like...reanimate the dead or something. Has these two undead dogs with glowing red eyes." He gave a slight shrug, avoiding the rest of that subject.
Then, the movie got good. A girl was separated from the others, navigating through the quiet of the zoo, another figure slowly making its way behind the young woman, it's shadowy form making it impossible to tell if it was a zombie or a human, when suddenly...
"EEP!" Ty jumped as he was jabbed in the side, then he glared at Tses, but he couldn't help but smile at her. "Just for that you owe me a kiss later," he murmured as the figure grabbed the girl from behind, and she let out a blood-curdling scream, turning around to see the jerk of the group.
"Not funny, Jason!" The girl yelled, smacking him. But the moment was interrupted as a zombified wolf pack encircled the two teens...
At this point, Ty had one arm clinging to Tses, and he was on the edge of his seat, peering at the screen.
"Reanimate the dead.... he totally does have zombie powers! No fair! I wonder if zombies can blow up..." Tses trailed off. Not that she'd actually blow up someone's undead dogs, but if he ever made a different undead creature, maybe she could blow that up? What would happen? She was curious, and that got her to distracted long enough to watch more of the movie.
As the wolf started circling the teens in the movie, Tses smirked at Ty, and chuckled. "Hey, you know what'll happen next? The wolf will get closer, and closer, and then RAWR!!!" With a pounce she jabbed him in the side, then nipped his shoulder, laughing and sitting back in her seat. Her timing was pretty good, and she managed to do it all when the wolf actually pounced on the screen. She was having too much fun picking on Ty, and perhaps it was mean, but it was making her happy and she rarely smiled this much.

Ty smirked, shaking his head with a small laugh. Tses was too amusing sometimes. Though he was more prepared for her little 'attack' this time, though he still squealed from the jab in the side. Though he had to admit he liked when she was like this. It was adorable, and not to mention fun.
"Eh, that Jason guy got what he deserved," he said lightly, nuzzling into her shoulder as a gunshot rang out on the screen, dropping the wolf in its tracks and saving the blond cherleader-type from the same fate.
"Man...what the hell is a shotgun doing in a zoo, anyway?" Ty asked, looking confused.
