The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

(For Fisher, Tses and Sledge)
I figure we should have one of these to coordinate what happens, who posts when and what not.
The main idea I had with this thread was having Harlan place an ad where he offers to recruit mutants with talents that can help him solve cases. Fisher shows up for the job and Harlan figures out the best case to put Fishers talents to the test is the bank job Tses and Sledge did together. The first posts would be between Fisher and Harlan as the exposition is done, but once Fisher figures out Tses was involved, she gets to join the thread.
I figure that at first, it could be through phone calls, because Fisher wants to protect her but at the same time, make some money out of Harlan AND find out who this Sledge dude she was with is. If the phone call is long enough, you two could even skip some of Harlan's turns.
During the investigation, they may find a way to track sledge down (no clue how yet, we could improvise something during the thread or plan it beforehand here) and that's when Sledge gets to join the party.
I don't have any particular ending planned, because half the fun of roleplaying is not knowing what will happen and finding out as the thread develops a life of its own, but any obstacles, sudden muse short circuits or brilliant ideas can be discussed here without clogging Cbox or waiting for all four of us to be online at the same time.
Let me know if you guys want to add anything or if something doesn't work well for you.
Only problem that may arise is Tses doesn't own a phone.... If it would really help the plot though I may see about her getting one before this happens, since Colt was going to give her one before and I still need to plot with him.
Haha no she just never had anyone to call before. And yeah, her lack of a phone has been a running joke in a few threads but I think it is time to remedy it ; )
I'll hand wave something though, so we can just work under the assumption she has one and Ty knows the number.

Ok, Fish and I ended up having Ty drag the investigator around, so no phone is necessary, and it works even better if she doesn't have one. Ty will make a run for Tses place, not knowing that Harlan is following him.
Also, we were wondering if we should merge threads. We were thinking it'd be fun to have Ty arrive at Tses apartment, to find Sledge and Tses inside. Some interesting conversation can arise from that and then Harlan crashes the party. What do you think?
I was thinking merging the threads could be interesting, although I'd like to hear what direction Sledge was thinking about going. (for instance, if we wanted to get a little further along in that thread so maybe they went to try and cover their tracks, Ty gets to the apartment, they're gone. Finds them together down the road, something... If they're actually working together on something it could be pretty funny....)

Thread merging would be fun, but I was thinking at first that Fedora at the Door was a thing going on while Harlan and Fish were doing stuffs with the lighter. So yeah, we can do the merge, but I would like it if Sledge is not found in someone's apartment. Especially if that someone is someone's girlfriend. Street is fine though.

That brings me to my idea. If Tses by this point does have a phone, all Ty would have to do is make a simple phone call. "Hey, we're in a mess, meet me at such and such a place in case I'm followed, and I'll explain there."
That way no one's caught in anyone's apartment, Ty doesn't lead Harlan there, and we can still all get together for fun time~

Works for me! Just thought it'd be fun having the 'what's going on here?' reaction between Ty and Sledge at Tses place, but that was just extra. I can have Harlan track Ty till he meets with Tses and Sledge wherever.
Question: Would 'Every Action' be merging into 'Fedora' or would 'Fedora' be merging into 'Every Action'?
Perhaps Fedora merging with Every Action ? Because in ours Sledge has made a reference to the add that Harlan placed, so it'd make more sense that direction?
Oooo! We could do a kinda fun thing with it though. In Leverage they did a "Girl's Night out" and then "boys night out" pair of episodes. The team split up, and in one episode you saw one job person A and B were doing, then the other episode was person C and D, but there were overlaps in phone calls and stuff that connected them. So, Ty could call Tses in the Every Action, but I could also include the phone call in Fedora. Then we could do a few more posts before the actual merger while Tses tells Sledge something is up, Harlan is catching up to Ty or something like that...
Or, if that is toootally overambitious we can just merge once Sledge and Tses are out and about on the streets.
haha! I like that idea, at least for the Ty/Tses phone call it should work. There should be a note, "disclaimer" of sorts for people who aren't paying attention to this planning thread or reading just one of the threads, so the post that does the overlap should have a link to the other thread doing the overlapping with.
