The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Tses knew her answer was wrong by the way he smirked, but as his lips brushed her face, she suddenly felt ok with loosing. It felt dangerous and fun and her fear melted into the puddle her stomach was in just at the contact. She shivered slightly as he whispered in her ear, then blushed pink as his hand moved through her hair. He had a way of making her feel so....vulnerable. Defenseless. A song wove it's way through her mind, as crystal clear as if she was listening to it while she was sitting there.
Shouldn't let you torture me so sweetly Now I can't let go of this dream I can't breathe but I feel
Good enough I feel good enough for you
With a soft smile, she leaned forward and kissed him softly, then pulled away, relaxing and feeling some of her fear slip away. "The truth was, whatever answer I gave wouldn't have changed much. Sometimes, I do just want to enjoy the moment."
Ty smiled as she kissed him, and he held her close as he returned it. Yep, she was ever full of surprises, but Ty had to admit he liked it that way. Kept him on his toes.
The redheaded pickpocket smiled mischievously. "So are you enjoying seizing the moment, or just seizing my lips?" he asked quietly, quoting her from the first time he tried to steal a kiss from the volatile blond thief. He let the hand on her shoulder trail down her arm, coming to rest on her knee.
Leaning in, he planted a kiss right where her neck met her shoulder, then trailed them softly up her neck, to her jawline, then planted another gentle one on her lips
Drink up sweet decadence I can't say no to you And I've completely lost myself, and I don't mind I can't say no to you
A laugh tickled her lips as his comment worked its way into her mind. She recognized the words, and even in the romantic moment, they made her smile. She'd come a long while since then. He she was, feeling like putty in his arms, and her mind swirled with ever touch, every moment of contact. Her laugh turned into a noise rather like a purr as his mouth moved along her neck, and she felt herself sinking into his arm, flooded with the pleasant sensations. Her insecurities hadn't melted completely, but something about him made her feel ok with that. No matter what, he made her feel safe, and he made her feel ok.
And I'm still waiting for the rain to fall Pour real life down on me 'Cause I can't hold on to anything This good enough Am I good enough For you to love me too?
Every moment took her closer to a sweet moment together, one she wanted, but one she was frightened by. But she was ok with that. He made her feel stronger, safer. He made her feel like a person again, and not just like she was going through the motions of existing. Before she met him, she was a light lost and without direction. Maybe she was the will-o-wisp. Maybe she was just a ghost light leading people astray. She lacked purpose, and she took people along with her on her hopeless quest to find meaning. But there was something to hold onto here. Something to fall back on.
She searched his eyes for a moment, and saw the safety that they offered. She smiled softly at him, and then kissed him once more. The darkness faded from her mind, and happiness took hold. She was lost in a place where she was safe, and for once, being lost was ok with her.
So take care what you ask of me 'Cause I can't say no
