Ty chuckled nervously, looking away as they kept walking, putting his arm back around her. "I know, I was just clarifying in case you were plotting revenge or something," he teased. "Oh, I know, and I am," he replied, winking back.

"It's kind of exciting, really...sort of a danger to it. I don't know....maybe being without you, I realized how much I actually appreciate it. Besides...you gotta get comfortable kissing first," he said, a slight pinkish tint coming to his cheeks. "I mean, you can't run until you learn to walk, right?" He smiled, holding the door to the building open for her, only looking back to see if she was through the doorway yet. After all, there wasn't a need to push his luck farther, was there? The more he pushed it, the more likely it was to give out.

Tses smirked slightly, that glint back in her eye. "Oh, I'm always plotting revenge..." She said slyly, and then blushed slightly at his next comment. Her eyes narrowed and she stuck her tongue out at him.

"Hey, give me a little credit. I don't even hug people, you should be glad I am even trying the whole kissing thing." She scolded, then moved through the open door. She shuffled slightly on the other side, and then started for the stairs. The building was quiet, as normal, and some of the light bulbs were starting to go out in the lobby. This apartment always had a slightly intimidating appearance sometimes, which normally didn't bother her, but today it made her a little nervous... the longer she lived here and the more people found out where she stayed made her feel like she was sleeping in the open, just waiting for more danger to come.

"I do give you credit. You're better with hugging me, and we hold hands and walk together alot more than we used to. So, we've moved up to kissing. Though I've gotta say I'm glad you feel close enough to me to do this," he said sincerely. "I don't care if we never get past that. I just enjoy what we do get to do together."

He smiled, but that faded as he looked around the building. This place had so much history to it....so many good and bad memories. The good were well worth cherishing, but the bad made him afraid. Afraid that every time he left, something bad would happen. But he couldn't be with Tses 24/7, as much as he wished that were possible...

Starting up the stairs, he took a breath, shaking his head to rid the thoughts and negative emotions. It seemed each time he got closer and closer to losing her. Grabbing her hand, he held it tight, biting his lip.

Tses felt Ty's grip on her hand tighten as they got closer to her floor, and she felt herself unwillingly tightening her grip as well. She didn't want to be worried, but this was the first time she would be by herself since.... she wasn't going to think of that. Reaching her landing, she walked with Ty towards her room. She paused to smile at her neighbors open door, and the old cat lady waved and smiled at her and Ty. Then she unlocked her door, and moved inside.

"Hang on, I got something you should take before you go." She said, and let go of his hand to move to the dresser. She opened one of the smaller drawers, and picked up a key from next to her rather beat up CD player. She held it out to him. "Figure that way when you come back I at least know it's you. Just... knock before you open the door so I know you're coming in." She said. She was trying to act like this was fine, it would all be ok, but her hand shook slightly as she held it out, giving her away.

Ty waved at the cat-lady as they walked by, Tses's grip on his hand somewhat comforting to him. Ty blinked when she held out the key, and he nodded slowly, taking the key and putting it in his pocket before holding her shaking hand with both of his.

"Thanks," he said softly. She was trying to act like everything was fine, but he knew it wasn't. She had to be terrified after what had happened, and he couldn't blame her. His own trembling hands showed he was just as afraid to leave her.

He pulled her into a tight hug. "If you don't want me to go right now, I understand. I can wait til morning. I know I'm gonna be awhile," he said, not really knowing what he wanted to do. Butterfly was important, but so was Tses. He felt...torn.

Tses wanted to tell him to stay. No, she wanted to beg him to stay. She wanted to just melt into a pebble and never be alone again. But as mean as she could be, and as rude and heartless she could seem, she wasn't putting herself first right now. Butterfly was like a sister, and she wasn't going to leave her that long without letting her see Ty.

"Chloe needs you too... You should go see her. I'll be fine until then. But I'll feel really selfish if I just keep you to myself. If you'd been back for a day and never saw her? I'd feel like a jerk." Tses said, and she tightened the hug, forcing herself to put on a brave smile. "I gotta share you now."

Ty's heart melted hearing Tses speak. He didnt' know they'd met, but he figured they probably had to as long as he'd been missing for. He kissed her cheek, then nuzzled against it with his own.

"I understand. I'll see you as soon as I can, I promise," he whispered in her ear, running a hand through his hair. Releasing the hug, he looked at her, tears threatening to breach the surface.

"Hey, Tses? I'm proud of you. You've grown alot since we've first met. I mean I fell for you from the very beginning, but you're even more amazing now. I'll see you soon. Keep the doors locked and take care," he said, starting for the door but not opening it yet.

There was still time... she could still make him stay, still just ask him not to go. But he was proud of her. He cared about her, and letting him leave was showing she cared about him too; him and Butterfly. It was hard, but she had to do it. As he started to go though, she took a couple steps forward and impulsively kissed him. It was timid like normal, slightly more intense and it lingered longer. Then she pulled back slightly, a little embarrassed and her heart thundering clear into her throat.

"Just... come back." Was all she whispered, glancing down at the floor and nudging it with her toe.

He took a surprised breath through his nose, nowhere near expecting the kiss. But he returned it all the same as his heart felt like it was going to pound out of his chest and release all the butterflies that were now swarming in his stomach. When it broke, he exhaled deeply, smiling at her.

"I will. I promise," he breathed, taking a few moments just to look at her before he turned and opened the door, easing it shut behind him. Pausing for a moment outside her door, he took another breath, practically floating down the stairs and out of the apartment.

He had to admit this was alot better than he'd expected. But that was only half of it. Now he had to hope Butterfly was as forgiving...
