The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Ty smiled, chalking up an inner victory because he managed to call her dear while she was awake, an dhe didn't get any sort of negative feedback from it. Following her, he still wasn't as brave as to catwalk the edge, but he still jumped to the lower roof, also stopping to admire the rainbow that formed from the mist of the hydrant. "Okay, that's cool....definitely once in a lifetime..." he murmured.
Ty grinned wider, nodding. "You wanted to do something dumb, I say let's go for it. Maybe I remember how to hotwire, too...Then we wouldn't be restricted to cars with keys..." He stepped towards her, that mischievous gleam in his eyes becoming brighter and brighter. "The thing is finding the perfect car...I'm thinking if we were gunna do something stupid, we may as well go all out, right?" he winked.
Tses moved slowly, thinking over the options. She'd never stolen a car before. Well, not intentionally. She considered the car jacking more of a uh, crime of opportunity, instead of a planned criminal action. She only counted heists if she thought a little ahead to commit them. Otherwise they were just rebellious scavenging. "If you know how to hotwire, we could get something fast! We'll have to pick the right district though, because around Time Square traffic is too slow to actually get away from authorities after you steal. And part of the fun is the chase."
She jumped across to another building, this one requiring a bit more of a running start. Her hands twitched slightly, and she fidgeting with her arm bands again. She had to do something. This was getting too slow for her. "Have any cars in mind?"

Ty grinned, winking again. "Nope, I could get you whatever you want, assuming we can find it." Ty was thinking over the possibilities when Tses took another leap. This time, he took a great running start, leaping to the next roof, and stumbled a little on that landing, recovering pretty well, but not looking too graceful.
"Hmmm....I think we'd do better to find a good location first, then pick from what we can find." Ty walked to the edge of the roof, nearly gaping at what he saw parked on the side of the street. The top was up, but it was a Pontiac Firebird, parked on the curb and practically begging Ty to hop in. In fact it had the couple's name all over it.
"Dude....what do you think about that one?" he asked, pointing to it.
Tses felt her attention caught when Ty pointed, and wandered over the edge to see the possible target. It was a gleaming piece of work, slick paint, new wax, and tires that seemed too pretty to be out in the snow. The soft top seemed misplaced here in New York's cold weather, but it looked fast, and that was a plus. "Think you can make it run?" She said with a flicker of a smile. She glanced around for a fire escape, and luckily there was one close by.
"C'mon! Let's get a closer look while no one is around!" She said, and jumped down taking the fire escape in a few swings, and landing on the ground in a crouch. She was sure Ty would be a bit slower behind her, but enjoyed showing off. She always enjoyed the small sensation of falling between the stories of the fire escape though, and the sting of her hands hitting the metal didn't bother her. She felt like some type of gymnast at times, although she tended to opt for efficient movement verses graceful.

"If it works, I can likely make it run," Ty replied with a smug grin. Letting out a cackle, he followed her down the fire escape. Unlike her, he took it slower, more like running than jumping, but he still reached the bottom in one piece. Once he did, the pickpocket broke into a full run towards the car, slowing to a less conspicuous pace.
Once he approached the beauty of a machine, he facepalmed. "Dammit I need a flathead screwdriver to hotwi--actually wait..." He walked around to the passenger seat, then back to the driver's side. "Sweet!" he exclaimed quietly as he opened the door, and turned the key, the car roaring to life as he buckled his seatbelt and adjusted the seat and mirrors. "[oclor=steelblue]Oh man this is gunna be great...[/color]" he murmured, grinning a wide, insane grin.
If Tses was an adrenaline junkie before she met Ty, there were few words to describe her attitude now. She was trying to function off the risk of being on the edge of danger, and some moments slipping closer towards disaster others. Every time her thoughts started to drift, she saw an expanse of darkness, and the hands of loneliness reached out to clutch her. She wasn't just turning to adrenaline for amusement now. She was using it as a fuel to keep running and escape the fear inside her. Ty seemed happy enough, and overall, he seemed to be oblivious to her struggle. She was glad. She didn't want to let him know she was afraid; she couldn't handle being so needy.
A twitch of the hand and a scamper towards the car, her thoughts drifted backwards, and she smiled as she listened to him analyze the problem. As the car roared to life, she plopped in next to him, but didn't make so much as a gesture towards the seat belt. There was no way she was getting strapped into anything; that was a sure fire way to make her brain go into screaming panic. "Let's just hope your driving is better than mine." She teased, and looked for some way to roll down the window. She knew there had to be a button for it or something, but she was impatient, and considered just opening the door to throw things out instead.

Ty threw the car into reverse, then backed up--way too fast. He stopped, taking a deep breath. "Sorry, never drove one with this much power..." Then he gave a sick laugh, coupled with that insane grin as he put it into drive and pulled out onto the road. It didn't take long before he got the hang of the car's handling, and he relaxed.
Then, he let the windows down, followed by the top of the car itself, regardless of the cold. "Alright, where to? I mean, you wanna throw explosives, right? So what kind of targets do you want?" he asked, speaking above the wind.
Tses started to momentarily wonder if Ty was really the better driver as the car lurked backwards. Good news was, she was bracing herself, so she didn't end up sliding towards the dashboard. The last thing she needed was to get injured right now, especially while refusing to wear the safety restrains. She'd rather taste plastic than wear that dumb thing. "Brake is the big one, love." She said, rolling her eyes. "We don't have to follow those speed limit stuff though do we? It feels way too slow...."
As they started moving, she glanced at him and smirked. He looked about as crazy as she felt when she took her own joyride, and it was mildly amusing to see someone else as ecstatic. The windows and the roof came down, the second being a more surprising experience, and Tses poked her head out the top of the car like a prairie dog for a second, scanning the horizon with the wind needling against her skin. The world looked----and felt---cold, but hopefully the adrenaline would warm them up.
"I'm looking for like, trash cans, other basket type objects. You know, something to test my accuracy." She smirked at him with the word accuracy, making a small jibe towards his missed toss. "It's harder hitting things while moving, and the wind pushes my explosives around, so I need the practice. You know, in case I ever have to take out some baddies from a moving vehicle." She sank back down, rubbing her cold nose and breathing in the fresh air. She was feeling calmer now, that perfect little peace in the eye of a hurricane.

"I got this, Hun," Ty teased back. "Just had to kick some of the rust off." Once he'd gotten used to the car, he sort of settled in his seat, still sporting that insane grin, the bitter wind blowing his hair in all kinds of directions.
When she mentioned speed limits, he hit the gas a little more, now comfortable enough behind the wheel of this bad boy to do so. "Eh, cops like it when you obey 'em, but the way I see it, who cares as long as you're going slower than the car directly in front of you?" As Ty said this, he passed a station wagon, leaving them in the dust. Up ahead were a couple of trash cans on Tses's side of the street, and farther up was some homeless person's shopping cart, which was about half-filled with old tin cans. As they came into view, he slowed down a bit.
Tses wished she were as relaxed as Ty. He seemed to settle right into driving the car, and she envied it. While she was enjoying the rush, she was still battling with her inner demons and it made it hard to be as thrilled as he was. He reminded her of a dog more than ever now, but after his poodle incident, she found it hard to call him a puppy without risking offending him. Then again, when did she worry about offending people?
"When did we care what cops though? I say ditch 'em. Or is that too much for you to handle, pet." While she was being nice before, the pet names were turning a little teasing now, and there was a taunting flicker in her eyes at this last one. She watched the station wagon disappear behind them, then she looked at her possible targets. It was a shooting gallery all for her.
Her arms glowed with green energy, then she made three different tiny explosives. She sent the first one at a trash can, and it bounced off the lid, popping on the side walk. The second bounced short of the shopping cart, but the last landed in a can, and sent it skyward with an amplified POP, and knocked a few extra tin cylinders to the sidewalk. She smirked, and shrugged. "2 points for accuracy, 5 for style?" She asked, curious of his opinion.

Ty chuckled, looking at her out of the corner of his eye. "Pet? Yep, you got yourself a pet Fish, Luna~ And one that can drive, at that." Though they were teasing, Ty had a very poetic reason for calling her Luna, but unless it came up, she probably wasn't going to find out.
He laughed, shaking his head at her display, though it was rather cool. "How about an even five points?" he asked, keeping his eyes on the road for the most part, blowing past other cars as he picked up some more speed. "And cops, well we know how I feel about those. Screw 'em~" At that moment, the night behind them lit up with a flashing blue light as a siren wailed over the roar of the Firebird's engine.
"Well...speak of the devil..." Ty murmured before letting out a rebel yell, hitting the gas even more, sending the black sports car speeding through the night.
Tses blinked and glanced at him as he called her Luna. It wasn't a pet name she was aware of, and while hers had seemed teasing, he seemed serious. Inwardly, she wondered if this was another Sailor Moon reference. She had heard at least one of those recently, and was starting to wonder if she should look up this person and see why she was being compared to her, but she didn't think Ty would know either. He was smiling, and she made a note to ask his reasoning later when he wasn't quite so happy.
She let herself smile at the points, and shrugged. "Fine. Five points it is." She smirked, then the smile vanished a little as red and blue lights flickered from behind them. While she hated the sight of cops, she also had to laugh at the irony. Well, they did have terrible timing, so why would now be any different? Without waiting for Ty to say anything, she turned around backwards in her seat, and started making a little collection of glowing energy orbs in her hand. She kept them small so she could make more, then she sent them back out the open roof. Five little circles hit the pavement, and as the car rolled over them they exploded, veering it's path and sending it crashing into a parking meeter.
"How many points for a cop car?" She said with a wink, settling back down into her seat.

Ty watched from the side mirror as Tses made her explosives, and easily crashed the cop car.He laughed, loving every minute of it as he turned down a side street, weaving through traffic.
"Twenty points for a cop car," he answered, "And I love you forever~" he winked, taking another turn. Ty knew full well what he was doing. It looked like he was trying to make a huge circle, and to be honest, that was exactly what he was doing. He'd settled into a more serious atmosphere now, his eyes and ears alert for more sirens and lights.
Suddenly, Ty had another idea, and he took an unexpected right, and the city streets turned to countryside after awhile.Pulling off to the side of the road, Ty threw the car into park, shutting it down and killing the lights. He seemed more peaceful now, more sure that nothing could go wrong.
The stars lit up the otherwise pitch dark sky, and the only things around were grass and trees. In fact, ignoring the fact that they'd just escaped a brush with the law, it was quite romantic.
Tses made a face at Ty's comments, and her cheeks turned slightly pink. But she ruined it by sticking her tongue out at him and scoffing. "I thought you already loved me forever." She remarked in a catty voice, then watched the city go past as they kept driving. It was pretty quiet out now, and in the distance she could just barely hear the sound of sirens. But they had left behind their trail of trouble, and now were somewhere quieter and remote.
It made Tses nervous being in the silence, and her hands started to shake again as she pulled her knees up close to her. It was dark outside, so she couldn't see much, but she reached out for the unseen light of the moon, drawing on it for strength. She couldn't be afraid forever, she knew that. But she let just the lightest glow of green energy flicker across her wrists like a barrier between her and darkness. She would never be trapped like that again. She had no reason to be worried. She would fight her way free of any danger, and she was strong enough to get beyond this. But the twinkling stars still seemed like dimming glimmers in a dark world.
As the car settled into park, Tses glanced over at Ty, confused. Her pulse had risen a little, and she wished she had his ability to relax. While he saw this place as romantic, Tses just saw it as confusingly empty.

"I do, always will. That was just the only addition I could think of," he replied, looking at her, then deciding to cut the car headlights back on. At least then it wasn't pitch black. But Tses's body language was a clue that she was nervous, confused.
"It's nothing," Ty said softly as the distant sound of sirens began to die down. "Thought it'd be a sweet, kinda romantic place to let the heat die down," he explained. "But we can go back if you want, maybe return the car at least close to where we got it from." Ty let out a chuckle. "I don't know, I guess I exhausted my adrenaline, or something."
