The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Serena gave a light chuckle at Tses' comment. Good, so she still had a sense of humour. That was a good sign. "they won't like quarantine me for being a new mutant or anything will they?" She asked, a bit nervously.
She looked at the outside of the mansion. It was HUGE! the grounds were covered with greenery, gardens, trees dotted around, she thought she might even see a fountain... Serena really didn't see why they would want to take her in.
She was a random teenager who had just lost her brother with no money and who couldn't control her powers... A place like this couldn't be cheap to run. It might have just been a better Idea to stick with Tses and have her teach Serena the ropes.
No, that would not be fair on Tses. Besides, she hadn't come all this way for nothing, she could at least hear the people at the mansion out...
She began to walk towards the mansions menacing doors. Ready for whatever awaited her.

Victoria had been sitting in a window looking out at the night sky. She loved the stars and moon when they lit up the heavens. The moon also helped light up the ground where the girl spotted a couple people walking up towards the mansion gate. New people could be interesting to meet.
Making her way down through the building and out the front door the little blonde girl arrived almost the same time the other two figures did. She looked up at them through the gate. “Umm..hi! I don’t think I’ve seen you two here before.”
Tses glanced around, hoping someone would be out and about at this late hour. The last thing she needed was to have someone camping out at her apartment. It was kinda an unwritten rule of her street life: don't let someone you don't know see where you sleep. If you did that, it made you vulnerable to attack later on.
"I don't think they'll quarantine you for being new... But I'm new to this too, so we'll have to see."
Before they made it far, a young girl approached in the dark. She was fairly tall, with blonde hair. Here in the open, without the buildings blocking the stars, the little bit of moon and other night lights of the sky helped make the figure clearer. "We're new, we'll, she's new. We're looking for someone to help." Tses said, stumbling over her words. Ok, knight in shining armor she was not. More like teen in unprepared childcare situation. Serena was sixteen, and by no means a child, but a mutant in a stressful situation could be just as bad at times.

The figures turned out to be two females. By Victoria’s judgement they were both older than herself. She could tell that just by looking at them. Strangely both of the other females had blonde hair like Victoria. Were there more blonde people in America than other places? Just an odd little thought that popped in the girl’s head until one spoke up.
“What do you need help with?” The young girl’s red eyes immediately started to look to see if the other females showed signs of being injured. Maybe their car broke down. That happened a lot in movies and they looked like they might be from a movie. Two young ladies. All alone in the night… Victoria’s mental narrator chimed in unexpectedly.
Tses scooted behind Serena, and have the younger girl a little push forward. "This is Serena. She's a mutant and really needs someone who can help her deal with it, and a place to stay while she sorts it out. I'm not really great at this sort of thing, and I was hoping someone here better for her could .... help." Tses felt awkward trying to find a place for the younger girl to stay, especially when the first person they encountered seemed to be an even younger girl.
"Do you know fit there is anyone around we could talk to? I know it's late..." She rubbed the back of her neck, feeling about as nervous as she bet Serena did.
Serena was a bit shocked by this little girl, out this late at night, who had just greeted them... She was cute. But there was something about her that Serena couldn't quite place...
It was her eyes, the little girl had red eyes. Serena guessed she was probably a mutant, being at the mansion and being allowed to skulk around at night like this, oh well, she supposed this girl could probably help her.
She was about to open her mouth to say something, when Tses gave her a little push forward and introduced her.Well, at least she didn't need to introduce herself or anything now.
"H... Hi" Serena muttered nervously. She didn't really know what to say. She guessed she should probably ask if there was anyone around who she could talk to about this place and her being a mutant "Uh, is there like, anyone I can talk to around here about all of this, like whoever runs this place?" She asked, again with her nervous tone clearly audible.

The first female continued talking and while she did so she gave the second girl a little push forward. She gave a brief description of what the problem was. Oddly the younger of the two was going through a similar problem Victoria was dealing with. The fact that she’s a mutant.
Looking now at the girl named Serena it was clear that she was nervous. Victoria couldn’t help but feel for her. She wondered if that was how she looked when Mister Holloway talked to her about being a mutant.
Smiling at them both Victoria tried to be cheerful and sound helpful. “Nice to meet you Serena. My name is Victoria and yeah there are people here who can help you and talk to you. This is a good place with lots of friendly staff and students. I’m sure we can find you someone to talk to as well as see if it’s ok for you to stay here.”
Serena's eyes lit up for a second. Somewhere she could call home. Somewhere where people could understand her. Then she remembered that she had technically committed man slaughter. That wasn't good. She didn't think she would mention that yet... If at all.
Still, Victoria was very friendly. So she would do her best to be friendly in return. "Thank you Victoria, Really, It means a lot to me" Serena replied. With a weak smile. She was still feeling a little dizzy.
Dammit she hadn't intentionally used her powers either time. For that matter, would she ever be able to intentionally use them. She would have to see. Serena turned back to Tses "Thank you so much for helping me get here Tses." Serena said.
Tses rubbed the back of her neck sheepishly and shrugged, "Couldn't just leave you out there," Tses membered softly. Not unless you want to end up like me... she thought. " Hopefully here someone can help things make more sense to you." She hoped this younger girl knew what she was doing though. Tses was still battling that whole sense of responsibility thing.
"you sure you'll be ok now?" she felt herself asking, almost sounding concerned: a step for her.
Serena felt so happy that this girl had not only gone out of her way to help her. But was now concerned even after she had gotten her to the mansion. Despite trying to act cool, she really was a kind hearted person.
"I think so, Thanks again Tses. I really don't know what I would have done with out you." Serena really wanted to hug Tses for her helping Serena out so much, but managed to resist the urge as she thought it might make things a little awkward.
"You should probably get going though. It's getting quite late" She said in a tone that made it clear that she really cared about it. She did care for Tses, even though they had only been together a short time, Serena felt as if they were sisters.
Tses gave an awkward little smile and nodded, glad Serena was ok with her leaving now. She couldn't handle anyone else upset tonight, and she was already exhausted, "Well take care of yourself. I'm sure I'll see you around somewhere." She gave a smile, and turned back to the cab where the clock was already running.
Her drive home was quiet, and she only had to walk the last block or so with the groceries she still had. But at least Karma wasn't going to kick her but today... Although, part of Tses felt she would have done something, with or without Karma's helping hand.

Watching the two older girls made Victoria smile softly. The older of the two wanted to make sure the other was going to be ok, and Serena was grateful to the other for bringing her here. It was a sweet moment.
When the ladies parted ways Victoria opened the gate for Serena to enter. Once inside she closed the gate again and looked up at the taller female. “I can show you around some while we look for a teacher or someone for you to talk to.”
Serena watched Tses leaving. Glad that she could now go home and rest. She decided. When she was settled in, and more comfortable with her powers. She would go and find Tses and thank her for everything she did. She really could not express enough gratitude.
She turned back to Victoria and gave another weak smile. "That'd actually be really great" She was still feeling a little Dizzy. But she needed to get this done.
