The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

I was thinking of dropping by your thread, but since you have this open, might just call dibs!
I can have Miles practicing catch the stick games with his dogs or something and then having the stick fall a tad closer to Fish. He goes to school at Xaviers, lives in sanctuary, so he can point the way to either place if you're interested. Xavier's is the school from the X-men (duh!) and Sanctuary is a mutant shelter, and the secret headquarters of the order. Miles has no clue about any of that though.
He's fifteen, so he's not exactly at an age a 20 year old would respect much, but he's talked to a bunch of mutants, so bumping into one is no longer new to him. Fish seems to be in that stage where he's just starting to find out he is one. We could work with that. Would you like to plot in advance or improvise as we go? I'm cool with either, or if you want, you could wait for someone else to drop on your thread. I don't really mind, just let me know in advance.

Now that sounds like it could be fun. And hey, when I was 20 most of my friends were like 15-18, so that could work too xD Yeah, Ty's just discovering that he is one, though due to the...nature of his mutation, he's afraid of it. Maybe we can come up with a sort of basis as far as plotting goes, then after that sorta roll with it.
He's afraid of his mutation? Now why does that sound familiar?
Miles can seriously relate to that, what with being afraid of turning people into thralls. How about this for a starting point? The stick actually hits Fish on the head and Miles will pretend he didn't throw it. He's usually responsible, but if Fish doesn't take well to being hit, he might try to wiggle out of it. Fish's talent however, can easily tell him who threw the stick and even from what tree it came from. They can eventually talk mutation from there, though Miles tends to be evasive and avoids going too much into detail regarding the undeath of his dogs (though he's told several people about it already).
We can roll with the rest eventually and see where the thread goes.

That sounds like it may work. I like it. And yeah, in my mind I see touching something and randomly seeing its entire 'life' flash before your eyes to be kind of scary. xP I say let's do this~
Ok, I'm having Miles throwing the stick again, but this seems like a good point to either finish the thread up or cause some trouble. I could always have the stick hit someone or something else, or even have something entirely random happen. I'm up for any suggestions or ideas you two may have, just didn't want to drag you along onto something unawares.

I vote trouble! I'm not sure what kind as of yet, but yeah xD Feedback is welcome and appreciated~
[EDIT] So, maybe while Miles is throwing the stick, Ty gets bored/distracted, and sees....something worth stealing. However, it's something he'd have to take his gloves off to steal. Maybe he goes for it, and...either gets into trouble and/or passes out. That's all I got so far xD
Thought of this idea today when I woke up. The subconscious mind has the craziest ideas, really.
And no, I'm not sharing! ;D You'll have to read it when it's up!
Hopefully I can squeeze it in before I go. I'm leaving to visit internet-less, out of town relatives in the afternoon and coming back tomorrow, so my next post will be on sunday afternoon or night.
Couple of things:
Ty, you'll be able to play your angle if you want, there will be plenty of opportunities to do so.
Syn, while you'd be able to handle the situation on your lonesome, it might be interesting for her to find out how Ty and Miles behave around it before getting your hands dirty. She knows Miles is good and easy to manipulate, but how good or responsibly does he behave when the pressure is on? Is he easier to sway without outside influence? And she just met Ty, so it'll be a good chance to figure out where his morals lie.
I just hope I have the time to type it all up before I leave. Otherwise, it'll be up for sure tomorrow.
Okay! At this current point in time with the dogs returning to Miles and thus our little group. Syn has decided she is going to intervene and handle this sticky situation. The idea being that she first effects Miles and Ty since they're closest to her. She commands them to leave and take the dogs with them. Once they are on their way and after getting far enough from the angry wedding party Syn should've had enough time to effect said wedding party so she can handle them.
It's Ty's turn but he doesn't need to thieve away from the incoming seven people. He could easily have moved away and tried to snatch something from stragglers and play his angle. It fits his character to do so and pass out (specially if he touches an old relic) and Miles has always had an interest in becoming a doctor, so if Ty passes out away from Syn and him, it could give him the perfect excuse to scoot off towards Ty, hoping the fainting man may distract the crowd enough with a medical emergency of sorts...
Then Syn can claim ownership of the dogs to the crowd. She has the goth looks for it and it'd be the perfect opportunity to keep the crowd close to her and Ty and Miles away from her without even using her influence on them. Hell, Ty would be unconscious so he wouldn't even listen to what she's saying and Miles would be far enough away and too distracted to pay attention to what she's telling them or even hear her. That gives you ample wiggle room to do whatever you want with the crowd.
The dogs should remain unaffected by her pheromones, with them being undead and not even human, but last time around Miles gave them a command to calm down when Syn used her pheromones, and that should still be in effect. They have no reason to react. This way everyone plays angles that fits their characters.
