The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

The underground workshop was very quite today, which was strange considering most of the time various noises echoed from the there. But today was a different matter, Jade had been briefing the girls on what they were planning on doing.
Jade and Vincent where planning on getting the girls to relive some of their worst memories in order to experience what their children went through themselves. However, only Ruby and Emerald ((reluctantly)) agreed to this, Sapphire refused to do it, fearing that she would bring even more shame on the family
Ruby was currently lying on a chair with a small headband over her head, which was hooked up to various machines sitting behind her. The Fox girl looked around , not knowing exactly how this would work.
"Now Ruby there is no need to be scared." Jade soothed her youngest, stroking her hand gently. "All this machine is gonna do is put you in a dream like state, then whoever comes in contact with you will see very visually what you are seeing in your memory. Then When the memory finishes your father and I will have seen everything and we will be able to help you in every way we can."
Ruby nodded slightly looking up at Emerald, Emerald was looking over at her father who was messing around with the controls.
"You ready yet dad?" Emerald asked, tail wagging back and forth slowly.
"Daddy....will it hurt?" Ruby asked her father, fox ears flat.
Vincent was making sure that everything was calibrated perfectly. It had checked, double checked and triple checked, ensuring nothing could go wrong. He was about to check again when Emerald’s words caught his attention. Was he ready? As ready as he was going to be.
He nodded to Emerald before giving Ruby a reassuring smile. “Don’t worry,” he said, “the machine will only allow you and us to see and hear your memories, none of us will feel a thing.” He’d gone to great lengths to ensure that.
Ruby nodded to her father, hugging Buster close to her before she drifted into her own sleep. She Shifted a bit, letting out tiny whimpers before she went silent. The fox girl's vital signs where all strong so it bassicaly gave the Lupin parents the Okay to go into thier little girls memory.
Emerald looked at Ruby nervously, wondering what would happen. She watched her mother beckon her father over and when he did she would grab his hand, looking up at him as if telling him. 'lets go'
Giving Jades hand a squeeze he placed a head band on her and himself before pushing the final button, joining their minds to Ruby’s memory.
Ruby didn’t know how long she’d been in the cell, or how long since Emerald had been taken away. She just lay there, curled up into a ball, and wished that she could wake up from this nightmare. Then she heard it. It started as a soft humming in the distance, but it got closer until she could hear the words.
Golden slumber kiss your eyes, Smiles await you when you rise. Sleep, pretty baby, Do not cry, And I'll sing you a lullaby.
Care you know not, Therefore sleep, While I o'er you watch do keep. Sleep, pretty darling, Do not cry, And I will sing a lullaby.
The cell opened and a shadow was framed in the doorway. “Daddy!” Ruby cried, scrambling to her feet. Arms out stretched the shadow began to sing again.
Golden slumber kiss your eyes, Smiles await you when you rise.
Ruby rushed towards the shadow, longing for her father to scoop her up in his arms and make all the bad things go away.
Sleep, pretty baby,
Just before she leapt into those out stretched arms she saw who the shadow really was. Fusionist! Recoiling in horror she starred wide eyed at the man.
Do not cry, And I'll sing you a lullaby.
Fusionist stepped into the cell, smiling as he sang. Tears sprang into Ruby’s eyes as she backed away into the corner. “No,” she wept, “not allowed, only daddy can sing that.”
“I’m your daddy now little one,” said Fusionist as he drew a needle from his coat. A pair of orderlies entered the cell and seized Ruby, holding out her arm. Fusionist began to hum again as he checked the needle.
“NO!” Ruby screamed, “My daddy keeps me safe, he doesn’t hurt me. Your not my daddy! Stop singing his song!”
Fusionist, smiling at the girl once more began to sing as he slowly pressed the needle into her arm and began singing once again.
Care you know not, Therefore sleep, While I o'er you watch do keep. Sleep, pretty darling, Do not cry, And I will sing a lullaby.
Ruby’s screams of protest echoed from the cell.
The memory had stunned Vincent. How? Fusionist had used his lullaby to torture his daughter. How could someone be so demented? He felt an overwhelming sadness for Ruby that the lullaby, which should have been a memory of happiness, had been twisted by that bastard to something like… like that.
At that moment he wanted to do nothing more than comfort his little girl, but he knew that there were more memories to come.

Jade couldn’t believe that bastard had warped her husbands good night song. She was stunned, how did he even find out about it?
Ruby was around six now and she sat at a Table tinkering with Robot parts. She was dressed in a brown dress and her hair was all matted and dirty. Ruby let out a tiny whimper when the shackle on her ankle, that chained her to the table made her bleed. The fox girl began to shiver a bit and then let out a small yip. It was freezing in the room and Ruby’s little hands where turning red from the cold.
“Keep working Electricfox.” Fusionist stated, walking into the room, looking at the trembling child with no pity.
“But…Its cold.” Ruby responded meekly, ears flat to her head. She looked up at Fusionist. “I can’t move my fingers. Maybe if you give me a blanket and some Hot coca I will work faster?”
Fusionist smirked at the child, he stepped towards her, not letting her notice the needle he had in his hand.
“Is that what your mommy used to do for you when you where cold? She gave you hot cocoa and rubbed your belly to make it all go away?” fusionist asked I a sickly sweet tone of voice. Ruby nodded slowly, causing Fusionist to smile. The man grabbed the child quickly pulling the dress upwards shoving the needle into her stomach, pushing the plunger in. He smiled when He saw Ruby’s eyes widen when the needle went in..
Ruby let out a scream, writhing about it the seat, it felt like fire was burning through her veins. Tears streamed down her face, “MAMA! MAMA! DADDY! MAKE HIM STOP! IT HURTS!”
Fusionist’s laughter echoed through the room.
Jade let out a cry of dismay, her baby, her baby girl was being torture by something she used to love doing. Jade always made her girls happy but Fusionist was just making it seem like all these things her and Vincent did where horrible and they didn’t mean anything, just pain.
Soon all three of them where sapped out of Ruby’s memory pool, the fox girl unable to take it for that long. She started to cry, curled into a tight ball as a fox, trembling. Ruby thought she was still in the labs.
“No more…my tummy hurts.” She yipped out.
As soon as she regained her bearings Jade scooped Ruby up in her arms and rocked her back and forth.
“Its Okay baby, shh he wont get you again.” Jade reassured, ready to hand Ruby to Vincent when he wanted to comfort her.
"Look, I... I may not be an explorer, or an adventurer, or a treasure-seeker, or a gunfighter, Mr. O'Connell, but I am proud of what I am."
Vincent took Ruby in his arms and hugged her fiercely. Not knowing whether it would make things better or worse, but feeling like the right thing to do he began to sing.
He hoped that this would go someway towards washing away the terrible memory of Fusionist and reminding her of what the song was truly meant to do, to comfort her.
Ruby let out a tiny yip, tail curling around her father's arm. She placed her head on his chest, tiny crys occasionally escaping her lips.
"Daddy.......You're singing the song." She whispered, feeling her small body start to relax a bit in her fathers arms. She let out a tiny yawn, ears flat to her head. "I'm sleepy."
Jade smiled, tears brimming in her eyes. "Maybe we should wait for a bit to do more....let Ruby rest a bit."
Vincent nodded and continued to sing as he headed from the lab up to the living room. As Ruby finally drifted off to sleep he set her down on the couch. Pulling a blanket over her he kissed her forehead before heading back down to the lab.
He didn’t say anything. After what he had seen he didn’t think he could put his feelings to words. Instead he waited to see if Emerald was ready to go next or not.
Emerald watched her father going off with Ruby before he returned to the room. The wolf girl shifted her hands nervously, letting out a soft bark. She was nervous about this to say the least.
"Penny for you thoughts?" Jade asked her daughter.
"Why should I answer you will just see them in a minute anyways."
Vincent put a reassuring hand on Emerald’s shoulder. He was beginning to regret his decision to mention the machine to Jade, or to have even built it in the first place. While it did allow them a better understanding of their daughters, the price might be too high.
“Em, you don’t have to if you don’t want to,” he assured her, “We won’t force you to do anything you don’t want to do.”
Vincent pulled his daughter into a hug. “Listen to me sweetie,” he said, “no matter what we see it won’t make us think any less of you. We know who you are. No mater what we see we will always love you, and we know that it was just in the past, and you’ve grown up a lot since then.”
Breaking the hug he put his hands on Emerald’s shoulders and smiled. “This is just to let us get a better understanding of what you’ve been through. We just want to know about your childhood, even though it was spent with Fusionist. Having missed such a big part of your lives we just want to catch up.”
