The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

((OOC: Calley I'm terribly sorry for missing your comments to Syn))
Syn watched as a guy sat next to her and after checking her out he managed to couch up his introduction. A statement that made her giggle a bit. Was he really hitting on me, or amy I using my power without knowing it? "Hello Calley, I'm Syn and I haven't decided if it's a good day for random guys to hit on me just yet." She gave him a sly smile.
More people showed up including a girl with feline features. That was something Syn had never seen before. She seemed to have quite the gathering near her at the moment. Another guy showed up and jumped into the pool in his underwear. Syn turned her head as the water splashed up on her. She rolled her eyes at him as if to ask was that really called for?
Now that she had been splashed, Syn decided to go ahead and get all the way in to the water. She went under and pushed off form the wall and shot out into the water like a torpedo. Swiming to the otherside of the pool under water she surfaced at the wall and looked back at everyone else. Then she heard Fiona ask about playing volleyball. "Sure I'll play."
"Yeah I guess you did miss the memo Iris. Didn't you know red and black were the colors of the day?"
"Yes, that sounds like a good idea!" Fade nodded at the mention of food from another new guy. "Mind if I join?" She said before pulling herself out of the water. She tagged along with the new guy and...well...who ever else was going.
She grabbed her drink quickly before, however and took a quick sip, enjoying the cold drink as it slowly slid down her throat...it took her a minute before she realized she had spilled some down her chest. Feeling frustrated, she wiped it off with her fingers and then licked it off of her fingers, hoping that no one had noticed.
Kesuk had gotten that face of disgust when Jason arrived. Everything Jason did was to annoy Kesuk and Kesuk knew it. Then Calley walked up to Nika and asked if her ears were real. Kesuk laughed as Nika said yes, Kesuk also scracthed her bihind the ear as well. Next, Jason offered to cook for us and Kesuk said "Great all i need now is to be poisoned!" under his breath.
Fiona walked up to Kesuk and Nika and Fiona asked if we wanted to play volleyball. " Well i never played but i can give it a try" Kesuk said putting his hands on the back of his head and smiling. As Kesuk did this the light Kesuk had been blocking from Nika, hit her. The light reflected off her and showed a brilliant shine of 1000 dianmonds and her hair shined in the sun beautifully. Kesuk looked down and gave her a caring smile. But then Kesuk looked up to see Jenny spill on her self and try to cover it up " Its ok its a pool party. there has to be a little mess" Kesuk said to her
Kesuk scratched behind Nika's ear and once again she instinctively started to purr. She had to admit that being scratched behind her ears felt really good. It wasn't something she was used to from growing up. Kesuk moved and unblocked the sun and the warmth made her smile happily.
When Kesuk thought he was being quiet with his being poisoned comment Nika heard him very clearly. One of the joys of having cat hearing. She kind of felt sorry for Jason

Jason walked around the pool to and area just full of food. Now this is what Jason called a party. I everything you could want was right there. All the meat looked like it was the best possible cut. The most perfect steaks, nice large pieces of chicken, you name it and it was there even a large piece of salmon. Jason walked over to the grill starting it up. The smell of BBQ was in the air. And that was always a great way to start a party. Well the coals began to burn Jason walked over to a large radio and flipped through a couple CD books. Damn nothing there he thought. Jason had remembered his bag. He took a small jog around the pool looking at all the beautiful woman and grabbed his bag. Jason saw Nika purring as Kesuk scratched behind her ear.
“Okay you three, before this party over I want one dance from each of yall, or ima toss yo ass in the pool.” Jason said with a playful voice pointing over at Iris, Nika and Fiona.
Jason ran back to the radio, reaching in his bag he pulled his Ipod out and hooked it up. Just as he looked up and pointed to Nika, “Ima Flirt” by R Kelly started playing. “Ahh yall this my game right here” Jason said as he pointed at Nika and danced behind the grill well he put some more meat on the grill.

Iris squeezed a glob of the block onto her hand, then handed the bottle to Fiona, with a smile. “I’ve got two more bottles in my bag. When I heard about the party I went on a shopping spree,” she added with a chuckle.
“CANNON BALLLLLL!!!!”
Iris gasped as she and those near were drenched. She scowled at Jason. “Thanks,” she grumbled. She wiped water her face and shook her hair, trying not to splash Fiona.
“Didn’t... think... I’d make it... Might... need... CPR... Or maybe just sun block. Though I wouldn’t mind the CPR.”
Iris giggled and ruffled Calley’s hair. “Cute. Real cute.” She handed him another bottle of sunblock, then giggled again at his question to Nika.
Fiona mentioned a volleyball game, and Iris nodded happily. “Oooh! Count me in!” She turned to Nicki and shrugged, smiling reassuringly. “No worries. Quite a few of us just met.”
Jason’s suggestion of food sounded good too, but Iris was a bit too wound up to relax and eat just yet, so she followed Syn and Fiona instead. “Maybe later,” she told Jason, though she did go over and grab a water bottle out of the cooler first. She gathered several bottles and handed them out to the volleyball players. “Anyone else want one?” she asked the others. When Jason turned up the music and mentioned dancing, she made a face. “Erm, I’m not much of a dancer.” Then, when he threatened to throw them in the pool, she turned to Nika and Fiona and snorted. “Uh huh. You can try.”
Fiona smirked and raised her eyebrow--her signature move as of late--when cannon ball man mentioned throwing her ass in the pool.
"Go ahead and throw me, tough ass!" she yelled with a giggle, her tough streak coming through.
A tomboy by nature, Fiona's looks fooled all. However, she was as rowdy as any guy, and was willing to wrestle. She supposed that was really due to the fact that she was raised with a bunch of guys, not to mention burly guys who had nothing better to do than toss a looker like Fiona around.
Walking to where Jason was firing up the grill, she looked around.
"Is there skirt steak? You know, churrasco? I can't live without that stuff--makes me wish I was Argententian." she said to the R. Kelly fan.
Looking around, she finally found a gorgeous slab of priceless red steak. Walking over to the sink, she washed her hands quickly and just like that grabbed the steak and set it on the plates that were around for barbecue setup. She seasoned it liberally with a Spanish-Italian blend of salt, pepper, lemon, parsley--the works. Taking it in her hands again, she smiled at Jason and tossed the meat on the grill like a pro.
"Cooking is a specialty, as well as dancing, however you might just have to toss me in the pool if you don't change that music!" she said, with a slight wink.

((Sorry, this is Fade, I am too lazy to change accounts, plus my computer is freezing, so the less steps, the higher chance of me posting))
Fade smiled at Kesuk and nodded. "True." She chuckled before wiping the rest of her drink off on a napkin. She moved over to the barbeque and stopped dead in her tracks. "What is that God aweful sound?" She asked, meaning the music. She hated rap, hip-hop, soul, basically anything that hit the top tracks of popularity. She enjoyed smaller bands like Billy Talent, Underoath, Kill Hannah, and Baumer, among many others.
Grabbing her drink, so moved over to where Nika and Kesuk were since she recognized Nika. "Hey! How are you?" She asked, attempting to talk over that music.
Syn got out of the pool and walked over to get herself a water. She had heard the playful threat of throwing girls in the pool as well as some of the girls responses. She couldn't help but giggle softly. She liked the spirit in Fiona as well as Iris. They seemed feisty...almost like herself.
Nika saw Jenny walk over and sit next to herself and Kesuk. The cat girl smiled happily. She always enjoyed the company of people she liked. "Hi Jenny. I'm doing pretty good. How are you doing?" Nika smiled brightly at Jenny. "Cute outfit by the way babe."
Fade smiled and looked down to make sure she even knew what she was wearing. After making sure it was the one she had bought, she looked back up and smiled. "Thank you." Then it dawned on her. She had never had a cat, but the ones she had seen hated water, it was common knowledge.
"So... do you mind the water?" She asked, hoping she wasn't being offensive because even though she was a cat girl, she could be less cat in feelings towards certain things... like cat nip, or yarn balls, or water...
(((ooc: No problem, Syn. I’ll just have to try hitting on you again some other time. *wink* Everyone else: brace yourselves. *dramatic drumroll* I’m switching to third person.)))
If Calley had been his usual catty self, he’d have struck up a purr when Iris ruffled his hair. Thankfully he wasn’t, so he didn’t. But it still felt nice. Better than CPR, even, which was yet another clue that he’d been staying in cat form far too much to be healthy for his teenage psyche. He wondered if Nika had that problem, and decided that her obvious enjoyment when Kesuk scratched her ear was answer enough.
He was just finishing up with the sunblock when three things happened: someone mentioned food, someone mentioned volleyball, and the radio started vomiting. The first two were heavenly. The third was just plain wrong.
"What is that God aweful sound?" Jenny asked. It was a good question. Calley couldn’t in good conscience allow the eardrums of these beautiful women to be defiled any further. He stood nobly, and walked with clear determination to the grill and the innocent-seeming black box next to it. It continued spewing filth through its speakers. He looked at it, shook his head sadly, and turned his gaze to the perpetrator of this most heinous of crimes: Mister Tighty Whites.
“Sir,” Calley began, fully aware that he was going to get beaten most horribly for this but unable to stop either speaking or, for that matter, speaking in a horrible British accent, “I have tolerated your defiance of proper pool dress code; I have endured your thoughtless cannonball; but I cannot maintain my pride as a man if I allow you to play this drivel in the presence of such fine young ladies.” He pointed to the radio. “In the name of all that is good, I demand that you change the station to music.”
"Ha, it seems your music has no fans here..." said Fiona with a wink, and attempted to stare down the much bigger man, and failed miserably as he towered over her.
Wrapped up in staring Jason in the face defiantly, she didn't realize Calley's presence until he was right behind her. Fiona spun around and then stopped as she watched Calley's British bravado. The veluptuous redhead tilted her head to the right and crossed her arms as Calley spoke, and then stifled a snort when he demanded something in a brusque fashion of cannon-ball man.
I wonder how this will go down... she thought, and realized she should watch from a distance just in case intervention was to be needed later.
Walking to where Syn was, she stood beside the woman with a hand on her hip. "I sure hope the skinny guy doesn't get knocked out..." muttered Fiona, and looked to Syn with a giggle.
Syn watched and listened as Calley spoke to Jason in a very polite manner. It was actually quite unexpected. Sipping some of the water Syn glanced around to see what everyone esle was doing before her attention was turned back to Fiona.
The beautiful woman walked over and stood right next to the wicked girl. What she said next made Syn lose it. She couldn't help but laugh out loud. "Yeah, I think I'd have to agree with you on that one. Although if he does that then it would take the big man's attention off the girls. At elast for a few moments anyways." Syn took another sip of her water and wiped her lips.
Jenny's question made the young cat girl scrunch her face and shake her head. "No, I don't like water. The only exception is when I shower each day. Otherwise I try to avoid water whenever possible." She then smiled sweetly at Jenny. "So you like to sun yourself like I am? I love laying in the sun both outside or inside next to a window. I moved my bed next to the window in fact. you can ask Nicki." Nika pointed in Nicki's direction as she wasn't sure if Jenny had met Nicki yet.
