Calley would have laughed at Iris' comment, but he didn't want to find out what an otter's version of a laugh was. Probably something chittery and obnoxiously cute. He was still a little too steamed to want to be "cute". Especially not in front of a girl who was obviously laughing at him, on the inside. And into her hand. And probably underwater, too--that was a pretty conveniently timed dive.
Instead, as she dived under the water, he tried to figure out how to drink from a can. First he tried standing on his hind paws: that just landed him in a furry little heap. No dice. Next idea: he sort of held the can with his teeth, and tipped it to the side a little. More lemonade ended up on the ground and on his face than in his mouth. Finally, he ended up on his back, can grasped in his forepaws. If he craned his neck like this, and tipped the can like that--eh, it worked well enough.
She was grinning when she surfaced. Calley gave her the stare again, ruining it slightly by licking pink lemonade off of his muzzle. Now, what to do about Teddy-weddy Is So Deady over there... And why did the water look so appealing all of the sudden?

A smile crossed Nika's face as Nail sat close by. He was being up beat about the whole water bit. When Iris pulled out some of the cans from the water and made her comment to Nail the cat girl couldn't help but laugh as she rolled over onto her back.
"Enjoying the day and the view Nail?"
