The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Daria entered the kitchen and began searching through the fridge for something to make as a snack for Kit-kat, Mike and herelf. She searched deep in the fridge her tail waving lazily as she debated over hot or cold food.

Daria had smelled Mike's scent as he neared the entrance so she wasn't surprised when he spoke.
"I know" she laughed. "We are on the job twenty four seven. I've actually been giving serious thought about becoming a teacher here." she said.
Then, as a side note "Um..what should I make as a snack. I've got to have protein," she said half jokingly. "so sandwiches are on the menu but should I make hot ones or cold ones?"

Daria laughed taking the heroes out of the bread box. She took roast beef from the fridge and began making the sandwiches, laying out all of the ingredients in a line so that it was organized.
"Yeah, I'm not really sure what I would teach either actually." she put the first sandwich into the toaster oven and began making the next one. "Maybe an art class." she said her ears perking up. "I just don't know if I'm good at teaching people how to do stuff. Like, patience-wise I mean."
When she finally had a sandwich on each shelf, she closed the toaster oven setting the timer. She then started measuring amounts of lettuce and vegetables for Dafi.
"Well, I'd say you could be the assistant art teacher, but I don't know what to do about the patience thing. I think you could do it, though... you've got a soft spot for kids," he replied, grinning.
"Maybe after I take classes for a while I could be a councelor or something. I don't know. For now I'll just stay the resident kick-everything's-ass person."

Daria nodded. "Yeah..but I still don't know if i wanna teach art. I might choose to do something with technology, maybe hel the doc prof." She shrugged. "Whatever I've sometime until my birthday...I'll figure it out."
She laughed at Mike's comment.
"Yeah, that's the job for you! A Counselor! You'd be so good at that with your empathetic powers. " she put foil over the salad, and checked the timer, then leaned against the counter with her back to it.
Mike smiled, putting his arms around her waist from behind, and kissing her cheek. "I'd rather think that it was a bit more mutual than that," he said.

She smiled and placed her arms over his leaning back. "Yeah, thats what you say. But half the time I really feel like you blow stuff out of proportion. I mean when you think about it I add more stress. I'm glad the fight ended when it did because everytime I get attacked you go A.W.O.L." she giggled. "It's flattering but eventually, you're going to get in trouble."
Mike shrugged. "I've been in trouble before. I'm still here," he said, kissing her neck after a quick check to make sure that Kitty was preoccupied with Dafi. "But yeah... I'm working on that. It's not easy, but... I think I'm making progress."

Daria purred and giggled. "I just would feel terrible if you got into more trouble over me. I always complicate people's lives." She explained.
Hearing the timer, she turned, making Mike turn with her and carefully moved the sandwiches to a large plate. She fixed a plate for Kit-kat and placed it on a serving tray with the salad.
She teleported it to the table where Kit-Kat and Dafi sat. Fixing plates for herself and Mike she sat at a stool at the other counter and beckoned for him to sit next to her.
He walked over and sat next to her. "Funny, talking about complicating people's lives, since you seem to make mine make sense," he said, picking up his sandwich.

Daria roled her eyes playfully. "You're such a sweet talker." she laughed and bit into the sandwich.
She wanted mustard but had left it one the counter. She stood to get it then stopped and stared at hard for a minute. She was trying to see if she could teleport it without touching it-like she did with the bullet.
Her eyes narrowed and her tail stiffened but the mustatrd didn't even blink.
"I'm not a sweet talker, I'm the sweet talker. At least, I'm your sweet talker."
He watched her efforts to teleport the jar, and was frustrated along with her.
"Give it time, dear. Maybe you just don't want the mustard desperately enough," he said with a smile as the mustard glided from the counter over to their table.

Daria shrugged and lossened the cap on the squeeze bottle. Mike's explanation made since, it was a serious moment when she had done it the first time.
"Yeah, but I'd hate for it to have to be a life or death situation for my powers to advance." she laughed slightly. "I mean, I'll never want mustard as desperatly as I wanted you to live. Milk maybe, but not mustard."
