The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

"I have been turned into a monster before though, hell I turn into a giant werewolf every full moon. And if it wasn't for me ripping off the mind control collar they had on me back in the labs, I would have never gotten out." Emerald replied, thinking back to that cursed collar and all of its effects it would have on innocent mutants.
Em didn't agree with Mirror on the whole, she couldn't be turned into a monster thing, because she had been turned into one before and it wasn't a pretty sight to say the least.
Emerald took a quick swig of the beer that she was given and grinned a little bit, feeling considerably happier when she drank. Perhaps it was the weird genetics she had or maybe it was her fast metabolism whatever it was, it sort of made the wolf girl a relatively light weighted drinker. She placed the drink back down, luckily alcohol not fuzzing her thoughts.
"Oh hell, I have been looking for a good male for me for years and yet to find one," Emerald rolled her eyes a little, her tail flopping when it was pulled playfully. "My last one put me in a coma and the one before that was just using me to move up in ranks. " Emerald sighed, running her hands through her hair. She managed to crack a smile though, the alcohol partially doing that to her. "I dunno maybe a reformed Chaos Soldier like me could find somebody to love me. Not that I believe that much anymore but I got a tiny as hell chance, that I may be proven wrong for some weird ass guy that likes tall hydrokenetic werewolf's like me. Eh, its worth a shot."
The wolf girl seemed melancholy on the whole love thing, despite her grin. She didn't believe love could happen to her any more, or at least a somewhat normal relationship. Maybe it could and she wasn't keeping her eyes open to it. Or maybe she was just fooling herself, at this point, anything was possible.
>>"I have been turned into a monster before though, hell I turn into a giant werewolf every full moon..."
Maya rolled her eyes "That's bull, Em, and ya know it." she looked at the wolf girl "Now listen closely, hun: I. Am. Not. Afraid. Of you." she smirked "There."
>>"Oh hell, I have been looking for a good male for me for years and yet to find one..."
The mirrorwalker actually chuckled at that.
"Yeah, ya're clearly runnin' outta time. How old are you again? Seventeen?... Well, y'know, I think if even I managed to get myself a girlfriend, then you have a very good chance to find a guy too."
Nod nod. Swig from the bottle. The truth had been spoken.
"You are crazy." Emerald grinned, the wolven grin now creeping across her face. Her tail began to wag as she gently (well gently for her anyways) smacked Mirror on the back. "The X men were even scared of me when I was first joined. And you aren't afraid of me at all, man what sort of people am I hanging out with?"
it was strange for Emerald to not be feared by someone so it was reasanoable for her to act the way she did. She had come to the conclusion that all of the people she was now friends with were by far the craziest people she had ever encountered. However, she didn't mind this, it was good to have friends who liked you for who you were, Em had never really had good friends like that, so she was happy she finally had some.
"Heh, hopefully the guy wont mind a beast girl to tangle with," Emerald smirked, letting out a loud laugh. "I'm a bit hard to handle so we may have to look for a beast tamer." Emerald couldn't help but laugh now, a large grin on her face, obviously in a better mood now. The thoughts of the house still residing in the back of her mind, but they seemed much farther away now.
>>"The X men were even scared of me when I was first joined. And you aren't afraid of me at all, man what sort of people am I hanging out with?"
"The badass sort of people, of course." Maya grinned back at the wolf. Seemed like the wost was over.
>>"I'm a bit hard to handle so we may have to look for a beast tamer."
The grin remained. Maya didn't see anyting bad with taming. She took a sip of her beer, and looked at Emmy. "I'm gonna quote the classics here, gal: anythin' that can be amed might be a beast, but it ain't a monster."
Sip. Nod. Grin. The truth had been spoken. Again. Maya was on a roll.
