The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Search Party (open to all mutants not yet register

ooc: Ok, this thread is for all mutants not yet registered. Raina's just going to facilitate a search party meeting to get an idea for the whole group to know who's been registered, and who's missing. Post here if you want to be 'discovered' and captured, or discovered and escape etc. I think given the circumstances so long as everyone's Ok with it, sanctuary members can show up too etc. At some point after we've had everyone have a chance to post, we'll have the 'party' crashed and all those who want to be caught, get caught etc.
ooc: I'm going to give rupert the OK for the raid now. So it'll probably just be busy posts till then Just a few things to point out: we're not overthrowing our attackers. You either put up a good fight and get caught, or escape to follow whatever your next plan is. Please be careful not to be too powerful, remember the stalker bots were created to hunt us down, and guys like Rupert have a real hate on for mutants Just think about the mansion attack in the second movie. PLease feel free to be creative as possible and take this far, but be considerate of other mutants. Really, Shield is the only one of us percieved to be invulnerable. so make it realistic
I'm gonna let someone else reply to Neena, raina's been a post hog latley Thanks for getting the lights ben! Oh and also. Im asking Rupert to iniate the raid, but once it starts feel free to god mod a little bit with enemies and faceless officers etc.

Raina drummed her fingers nervously on her lap. Ted hadn't come back yet. He'd been missing for a few hours, and he wasn't the only one. Raina was feeling edgy given all the press about registration, but she didn't want to jump to conclusions. She figured as being one of the more adult mutants the best idea was to take count of who was still here, so she'd sent out a huge text message asking all residence of the mansion who were around to meet in the living room.
They'd need a game plan if the students really were going missing.
She sat in an oversized arm chair waiting anxiously looking at the clock, hoping that others would join her soon.

Michael came into the living room and smiled at Raina. He’d heard of the disappearances and decided to help out. As his offensive abilities were severely limited he was bringing the diamond sword that Sentinel had made for him. It had taken him a while, but Michael had finally managed to conceal it.
He was wearing a long grey coat which covered the sword that was strapped to his back. “Hi Raina,” he said, “I’d sit, but it’s a little difficult with this.” Reaching over his shoulder and into his coat he gripped the swords hilt and pulled it out. The crystal blade glinted in the light. “As we have no idea what we’re going to find I figure a weapon could be helpful.” He returned the sword to its improvised sheath. “So, do we have any sort of plan?”

Raina shook her head nervously, glad that someone else had showed up. "I'm glad you're ok." she said resisting the urge to lecture him about the sword. "I think we need to wait for the others, keep track of who is here... and who might be..." she couldn't bring herself to say anything. "You and I, our mutations arn't obvious. It's easy for us to walk around in the daylight... some of the others.. like Ted... Nika... Mandain... Their mutations can be so obvious." she paced again nervously, Rupert popped into her mind but she pushed him out.

Michael shrugged, “I’m sorry, but I honestly don’t know. What I do know is that we’ll do our best to help them, whatever trouble they’ve gotten into. With any luck they’ve all gotten together and are just lost.” Somehow he didn’t believe that.
If he had he wouldn’t have bothered bringing the sword. He felt a little silly lugging it around, especially hidden under a big coat, but he’d rather bring it and not need it than need it and not have it.
"Emmy are you sure you should be out of bed? Your still sore and your wounds arent fully healed yet." Ruby's voice resounded down the hall.
Soon the little fox girl came into the room, looking worridly at her wolven sister who had a slight limp. Her fox ears perked up when she saw Michael and the girl she had never met before.
"Hiya Shield!" Ruby yipped, watching as Emerald sat down on the chair.
Emerald still looked pretty battered up from King Pharmacuticals, having some bruising and being bandaged on the lower half of her torso. The doc had told her to keep the bandaging on untill her ribs where fully healed.
Emerald smiled a bit at Michael wolven tail begining to wag back and forth. "So how does everyone like this stupid registration going on? Besides the fact that it sucks."

That’s about the point where Raina’s phone began to ring.
Rupert waited on the other end, leaning against his desk in his office, buttoning up his suit jacket over his Kevlar vest. Not that Kevlar would do him any good with most mutants, but there was always the chance it could help with some. He checked his gun clip as he waited for her to pick up, holding the phone between his shoulder and his ear. Tonight was the raid on the Mansion. Captain Myers had given him the go-ahead to join in with the beat officers and the Stalker bots, because she knew he was going with or without permission. There was less suspension paperwork, this way.
The Mansion... the holy grail of freaks. Most cops took a pilgrimage past it in their squad cars, just to stare into the face of abomination in child form. Rupert wasn’t sure how he felt about raiding a school. But for that option to even be possible... his hands were jittery, and it wasn’t from fear. Who could have imagined that the day would come, when a raid on the Mansion would even be possible? Note to self: send a bottle of champagne to the guy who’d invented the Stalkers. He was expecting this to go fairly well—he’d seen what those things could do. But he wanted to get a call in to Raina, just in case.

Raina jumped as her phone buzzed in her pocket. "Emerald." she said with a nod. "I'm glad to see you're ok and here." she looked down at the little fox girl. "There arn't many of us left, I sent out the message to try and find out who was." she looked down at her caller Id and saw Rupert with a little heart next to it. Her breathing stopped for a moment. She exchanged glances with Sheild.
"Everyone be quiet, it's a cop phoning me. If I don't take the call he'll be suspicious." She took a breath and swallowed hard- wondering if she could make her voice sound convincing enough on the phone."...Hello?" she looked around the room at the others, searching their faces... feeling the emptiness of the mansion close in around her.

Michael smiled at Emerald and Ruby as she entered and went to stand next to the chair that Emerald had sat in. “You ok?” he asked Emerald. She’d not been looking so good since the KP fight and Bloodfang. While he could see she’d improved, she wasn’t on top form just yet.
Raina’s phone rang before Emerald got a chance to answer. When she mentioned it being a cop he knew who it was, Rupert. This could possibly be good news, but he somehow doubted it. At the very least they might work out if the others had been captured.

Rupert could actually feel his heartbeat pick up at the sound of Raina’s voice. He couldn’t help but be amused with himself. But a guy felt the way he felt, and all sappiness aside, her voice made him feel good. “Hello, Raina. It’s Rupert. Listen, I’m going to be working late tonight, but I was wondering... would you like to go to dinner tomorrow night?” He paged through a file as he spoke—one last glance at the schematics of the Mansion couldn’t hurt anything, that was for sure.

Raina's heart skipped a beat and for a second at the sound of his voice she forgot what was happening around her. A slight blush creeped across her nose and cheeks as she pushed her hands through her hair trying to regain composure.
"Hi r-rupert." she studdered. "You're going out tonight?" she gasped. "I uh, I've been watching the news you know. Some of those... um.. people have really strong abilities..." Raina didn't think any of the x-men would intentionally harm a police officer even though they could easily over power one, because the x-men were fighting to show that humans and mutans could co-exist. But someone else, well she wasn't so sure... and she knew Rupert could be headstrong, she was worried he'd get himself hurt. "Rupert, I don't know if it's a good idea. I know you're NYC's finest... but I couldn't live with myself if you ever got hurt." there was a sincere desperation in her voice, the others would be able to tell that this wasn't just about keeping mutants safe either.
while she spoke on the phone with Rupert she rummidged through a bag she'd brought with her, pulling out a skin tight jumpsuit. She had a feeling that once they got everyone together they'd be heading out into the night and whatever it had in store for them. It was black with hints of blue, and a little fishnet mesh here and there. She'd got it in her last trip through LA in a biker shop and made a few modifications to it. Hopefully it would control her body temperature should she need to use her abilities.
She was pulling this on over her clothes while speaking, giving Rupert somewhat of an illusion that she was probably working on something while talking to him- hopefully covering up her extream destractivness about the current situation.
"I'd love to go for dinner." she admitted. "But I can't commit until tomorrow." she lied. "I'm sure you understand with registration and all, some of our runaways are awaiting testing... and given the current situation it's manditory that all staff stay at the center until we get word of all the young people we're responsible for."
This would obviously be sending all those except Shield into a bit of confusion as to why Raina was lying to a cop about working in a center for runaways.
"But Ill call you when I can." she said honestly finally standing in her suit. "I love you." Ah. There was the reason, It all made sense now.
She said it without thinking, and her knees buckled for a minute. Did she mean that? Facing such an uncertain future tonight... she did. She hung on the phone a moment with bated breath.
Mandain woke up after having a nice sleep, his stomach was normal again and the sweatiness wasn't there anymore. He stood up and looked out of the window, fresh air was waving threw his air, breathing it fully in and out, this was a great start after all that happened. "Nice" Mandain wend to the bathroom to take a shower, "Hmm, somebody left his shaving machine here, handy" Mandain smiled widely and started shaving himself, after all he had to be smooth. "Let's see what's for breakfast, hmm what time is it actually"? He got himself dressed in his nice suit, same boxers as last day, but he had no other choice relay, "Stupid explosions, but we can't look back to that now can we Mandain" Happily he started talking in himself and walked down the stairs, he felt good, smooth, and smoking. Coming down he saw a group of people standing in what looked like the living room. As he looked closer he could recognize Raine.
"Well hello everybody, Nice to meet you all, My name is Mandain Gandron" He walked closer and raised a friendly hand to the new people. He hoped it were mutants like so they wouldn't be scared of his nice colored eye's

ooc: even though I'm waiting for Rupert to reply, I'm gonna fast forward a little bit to include Mandain here

Raina looked up as Mandain entered. "Oh hey Yellow eyes, I'm glad you finally made it to the mansion." she looked him over. "I'm glad you havent been registered. we're all gathering here, I'm going to give it another hour before we go out on a search party for the missing students." she looked at the others. "I hope we find more students soon."

Ben walked into the liveing room and smiled...there were a few other mutants here as well...one of them ben dident like the look of one of them...there was one that looked kind....to kind. Ben shook his head and walked in and sat down on one of the couches and sighed..it had been long trip from the air port and he was exausted. "Nice to meet you too...sorry but im a little tiered right now..anyone know where we sign up?"

Michael smiled to yellow eyes, then turned to the other new guy. “Hi,” he said pleasantly, “I’m Michael or Shield, which ever you prefer. If you search around for Tricity or Fade they’ll help you sign up. So what’s your power?”
The guy had picked a bad time to arrive, or a good time depending on how you looked at it. With this registration thing going on it was likely that the mansion would attract trouble. However, seeing as they were about to go looking for the missing people at least you’d have people looking out for you.

"Rupert, I don't know if it's a good idea. I know you're NYC's finest... but I couldn't live with myself if you ever got hurt."
Rupert smiled softly on his end. The beat officer who’d just handed him a taser and a tranq gun raised an eyebrow. Rupert set the non-lethal toys on his desk, and motioned to his phone. At which point the beat officer raised an eyebrow, and mouthed the words, ‘Miss Late-For-Work?’. ...Rupert was going to have to have a talk with Captain Myers about spreading certain sensitive information around the office. The beat officer barked a laugh at his glower, and let himself out of Rupert’s office, shutting the door behind him. For a brief moment, the organized chaos of the NYPD station would have been hearable through the line.
“Don’t worry, Raina.” He replied warmly. “I’ll be in good company. These mutants... they might be strong, but they aren’t nearly as tough as they think they are. We’ve got a few little surprises for the ones that resist.” If Stalker bots could be called ‘little’.
"I'd love to go for dinner. But I can't commit until tomorrow. I'm sure you understand with registration and all, some of our runaways are awaiting testing... and given the current situation it's mandatory that all staff stay at the center until we get word of all the young people we're responsible for."
Rupert nodded his head, as he put the taser and the traq gun onto his belt. “I understand. That’s good that you’re getting your students tested--make sure to tell them the importance of not resisting, okay? It can go pretty badly for them if they resist, but it’s really no big deal if they just go along with it.”
"But I’ll call you when I can." He patted himself down, checking that everything was in order. The beat officer was back, melodramatically checking his watch and tapping his foot. "I love you." He froze. The line clicked dead before he could get his breath back.
Then, with so much haste that he dropped his phone twice, he called her again.
When she answered, all she’d hear would be: “I love you, too.” He flipped shut the phone, breathless.
Tonight, he’d be a part of the biggest strike against mutants that the nation had ever seen. Tomorrow, he’d be with Raina, in a little Italian place. Or maybe Spanish... she could use a little fire, it felt like.
The point was: life was good. He followed the beat officer out to the briefing, grinning all the way.
