The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

"That's... sad" she looked at him "Your powers are not even dangerous to others..." unless you want them to, she thought, but right now that was not the point. Here was another situation where she couldn't really decide what to say. "I'm sorry. It's good that you are at home here, though." she smiled at him. She was still holding his hand too, although she didn't quite realize that.

“It doesn’t matter to some people. So people would se your powers and just because you’re a mutant they wouldn’t like you.” Streak continued to lead her through the halls. He turned down one of the intersecting hallways and decided this was a good place to change the subject for a little bit. “Here are the classrooms where most of the kids are taught. We teach everything that a normal school teaches, plus a few that are more…” he paused trying to think of the right word. Finally he came up with it, “customized to help develop their powers. But most of those classes aren’t taught up here they’re taught in a different part of the mansion.”
She raised an eyebrow with curiosity "That sounds like something I could use... I'm just beginning to figure out the things I can do. Or could, in most cases... Want to tell me more about those classes?"

“Well I’m not sure what we could do with you but I have a few ideas that might help.” Streak stated. “Those classes are mostly held in the Danger Room downstairs. Most of those are more one on one class because they’re more personalized than something like Science or Math class.” He’d just about forgotten that they were holding hands. The only time that he remembered was when they moved on and he pulled her a little. He thought now was probably as good a time as any to bring this up. “Why’d you chuckle a little while ago?” Since he was answering her questions and were making small talk, he figured she wouldn’t mind answering that question.
"Danger Room?" she tilted her head wit curiosity - she tends to do that a lot, it's a bird-like, delicate gesture, and usually appears when she is thoroughly interested in something "Now that sounds like something my former education didn't include..." When he asked about the chuckle, it was her turn to turn pink on the cheeks. "Um, I don't really know. I'm just... enjoying myself, I guess. You are not half bad for a tour guide" and she chuckled again. It was a cheerful, genuine sound.

"It's not really dangerous. At least not all the time. It's just a simulation room that we use to train in." He explained. Her answer to his question seemed guarded and something that she wasn't sure about. Or she didn't want to tell him. Maybe she'd tell him in a little while, as long as he didn't press the issue to much. "Well a chuckle and a 'not half bad'. This is turning out to be a better tour than I thought." He said joking. Streak quickly thought of where he could take her next. The infirmary wasn't a bad place to visit. "This way's the infirmary." he said as he turned down the next hallway and continued to walk by her side. "We have a healer that lives here with us. With this many kids... well... kids have accidents and he fixes them quickly."
"Train?" she was still trying to wrap her mind around all the things she learned about the school "You mean the use-your-powers-safely kind of training, or the save-the-world kind of training?" she smirked as she followed him to the infirmary (and she had no idea that in a couple of days this knowledge will be very very useful for her...). She smiled when he joked "Really, I appreciate that you take the time and all. It's much better than wandering around alone. Plus, how many tour guides would give me this?" she touched the rose in her hair.

"Uhh. Both." He said. "If you have someone that knows what they're doing you can do anything in the Danger Room." Streak explained. Streak continued on from the infirmary. As big as the mansion was, there wasn't much to the place. It was a fairly basic place that mainly consisted of room for all the residents. "Well, it's really no trouble at all since this is one of my jobs here." He said. the rose looked nice in her hair. Almost like it belonged there. "I'm probably the only one that would give a new resident a rose like that." As he said this he reached up and touched the rose as well. "So what else do you want to see?" There wasn't much left of the mansion to show her. She had a room, knew where the living room, kitchen, infirmary was. There had to be something else that she wanted to do around the mansion.
"One of your jobs? What else do you do?..." she asked him, still curious "Um... we could go outside. I like to take a walk in the morning, Fresh air and all... That reminds me, what kind of sports do you do around here? I mean, besides the training. I miss daily exercises." she smiled a bit

"Well. Aside from being one of the mansion greeters I also run the security around here." He neglected to tell her that he was also a X-Men recruiter. Actually Streak didn't neglect it. He was well aware of his duties but he was never one to advertise the fact that the X-Men were here. Streak preferred to keep a certain amount of anonymity for the X-Men and who was in it. Most of the students knew that they were there but as far as he could tell they were more rumors than actual knowledge. "Ok. Outside it is." He said as he started to walk towards the outside.
Streak opened the door for her and said, "Actually I don't know what kind of sports there are. I think it's more just kids getting together to play games. No serious teams or anything. Although we are trying to get an extreme sports class going for the older kids." If she wanted to get some exercise then that would be the way to do it. "What kinda sports do ya like to play?"
"Mansion greeters, now that sound familiar" she smiled. When he told her he runs the security, she looked surprised. "Wow. No kidding. I can imagine that can be a challenge..." She walked with him outside, and chuckled at his question. "Here is a hint about getting to know me: take all your ideas and stereotypes about a rich girl, and most of them will fit." she grinned "You know, like ballet, French, piano lessons, ballroom dancing, whatever. As for sports... um, there was a lot. I played tennis... I did some fencing... I like horse riding too. And all kinds of water sports." she sighed and made a sad face "Horrible, right?"

"You have no idea." Streak said hinting. He wasn't about to tell a new resident, or an old resident for that matter, that it was a daunting task that he'd taken on. Streak always seemed to be working hard at getting the security updated and upgraded. Unfortunately no matter how hard he tried he never seemed to get ahead of the curve. Streak nodded. He hadn't spent much time with rich girls but he thought that it was alright. Some of those things were fun. "No. Not horrible. Just different." he admitted. He looked around outside for a minute. "That's interesting. I never bothered to learn how to do any of those; but I am good at using swords." Just then he remembered a flyer he'd seen around the mansion. "Hey you interested in going to a party? It'd be a great way for ya to meet people. And if it's a problem I'm sure I could sway some people to let you leave for a birthday party. The theme's Cosplay stuff. Whatever that is." He said. He didn't know anything about Cosplay. In fact he didn't even really know the first thing about it. He'd have to ask around and do some research. Maybe she knew more about it than he did. "Of course you don't have to go but the party's are usually fun. And I could be your escort if ya want to go." He didn't want to pressure her into going but he'd enjoy it if she went. As long as no one decided to crash it that is. He thought as he remembered the last birthday party that they tried to have.
"A party? That sounds like fun" she smiled. She did like parties, and yes, it definitely would be a good way of meeting new people. "Though I have no clue what Cosplay is either. Maybe it's like a fancy dress party?..." she wondered. She smiled when he offered to be her escort "I think that would be all right. I have to check, but I'd say going off campus with the guy who manages the mansions security is as safe as it can get..." she chuckled.

"Pretty much. Besides why would you want to steal any jewelry? You'd be with the worlds most productive silver mill." He joked. He'd have to remember to leave that part out whenever he talked to her parol officer, or whoever was in charge of making her come here. "But ya. Ya can't get much safer than with me. Besides I'm sure they're be more of my friends there and they all know how to fight just about as well as I can." He reassured her. Streak probably didn't need to add that last part but it just kind of slipped out before he could stop it. He could only hope that there nothing that went wrong at the party.
(OOC: here the party thread. You can post in it saying that you were with me the whole time or something, if you want I don't mind.)
She bit her lip; even though they talked about it, the topic still made her uncomfortable. "I didn't really want to steal jewelry. I didn't even know I was doing it, actually. I thought I was just using my powers to help the man I was working with." she sighed "I guess that's why I got off easy." Strangely enough, she smiled when he mentioned the fighting skills "I bet they can..." she was pensive for a minute, then "Sounds like fun. I'd be happy to come."
