The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

The light of the new day lit up the streets and relatively few people were out yet, which Shana was good for. She ended not to like large crowds of people, she always felt like every eye was on her looking for any imperfection. It easier to keep her mind steady when their were fewer distractions around her. Walking down the street she looked around surprised a the beauty and vastness of the city. She had heard it was large and even had seen pictures of many of the buildings, but they still seemed so much larger now. She shied away from the attention her long blue hair gained for her, it marked her as different, more so then she already felt.
It was her first morning in the city and she had wanted to explore a bit before actually going to the mansion. Getting use to having other people around. Back home it had just been her and her mother. Her father had passed away sometimes before her birth. Walking into a local Coffee shop, she quietly ordered, when the place started to fill up. Shifting a few time in her seat, Shana quickly aid the bill and made her way to the exit. Shana turned right into an entering patron, who apparently having a bad morning began yelling and swearing. All Shana could do was apologize to the man, when the man slapped what was left of her drink from her hand.
Out of reflex, Shana's power activated, tossing the still hot liquid onto the man's exposed leg, he yelled and the word mutant began to circulate lik some dangerous animal had been released. Shana panicked and shot for one of the emergency exits, which as soon as she opened set of the in store alarm. All ready half out the door, and hearing people scream about a mutant, not looking back she ran down the strip, eventually ducking into an alleyway. Not sure if she had been followed Shana waited thare, trying to control her breathing. She had to learn to better control her powers when her emotions flared up. It had long been an issue, she knew if she tried hard enough, she could have prolbely have hurt the man much worse, but she had no desire to hurt anyone and did not beleive she could change anything about how the world worked.

Mettaliar sat at the little counter at the coffee shop and pulled up his issue of the New York Times. He scrolled his eyes across the headlines of the first page, shaking is eyes as he saw the various usual issues come up. Mutants, war, economy. The idea of the headline was soon becoming obsolete as there were barely any new topics to catch the attention. All the headlines should be short. Something along the lines of "This article is about ______" would do quite well. He shook his head again as he thought about it farther, deciding that the issue about the War on Terror would make a good first read of the day.
As he was scrolling across the words, a middle-aged woman with bright make-up came up to him with his cup of coffee with creme. He nodded his head at the waitress while exchanging a quick "Thank you" with her. He added some more creme and sugar to the blend of coffee and took a spoon in his hand and began swirling the drink. He could have simply made his own spoon and made things easier yet, as the other article on the front page had stated, it would be a very bad idea to use his power outside of the safe haven of the Mansion. As sad as it was, he would have to accept it for the time as it was society that chose this rule and not simply some stupid governmental law. He shrugged his shoulders and put his spoon down, deciding to forget the matter and go back to reading his paper. This time he was able to enjoy it wit a nice cup of coffee though.
However, the rush of workers had come. He had expected them sooner yet knew that they would come eventually. These people were the hard working pawns and rooks of the capitalist system, specifically on the chess board of Wall Street, coming in to take in any sort of energy they could before heading off to work. He noticed that as the rush came in the harder it became for him to read his paper. A slight distraction though which Mettaliar was able to handle. He had gotten used the busy network of New York and rarely was he ever disturbed from his paper for long. However, even through the ruckus that the rush was bringing in, he could specifically hear one conversation... or rather an argument going on between two people behind him. He sighed to himself with his cup partially in his mouth and continued to drink his coffee. That was until he heard the particular sound of a slap. With that he immediately spun around, only to be greeted with hot coffee on his pants legs.
Although rather irritated, he decided to try to get involved. It was late for that though, for before Mettaliar could get out of his seat a word so very well familiar rang into his ear from the deep voice of the man who seemed to have his pants covered in the hot caffeinated drink as well. "Mutant!" Mettaliar cringed at the word and nervously looked around. He saw no one looking his direction. Instead, the rest of the shop was looking in the direction of the woman who was facing the man. Suddenly there was an uproar of people screaming that very same word at the woman as well. What happened? I couldn't turn around in time to see what she did. Is she really.... Before he could try to help the woman, she bolted towards an exit. The kind of exit that set off alarms. He sighed and saw that he would be best chasing her to make sure she was ok. He took out his wallet and pulled out a $10 bill, much exceeding the bill that would probably be placed upon him. He threw it on the counter and screamed at the waitress to keep any change left over. Forgetting his paper he quickly went after the woman through the door she went through.
He followed her a distance behind until he caught sight of her turning into an alleyway. He sped up to make sure he would lose her. Turning, he saw her standing in the alleyway, apparently in shock. He slowed down to a stop and decided to approach her calmly. Scaring her would prolong the chase even more. He calmed down himself and spoke lightly, "Hey. Are you ok? I saw you bolt out and just wanted to make sure your not hurt." He would hope she would respond well and not cause a scene at the sound of his voice.

Shana's feeling were like a storm, a mixture of anger, rage and fear. She kept going back and fourth in her mind, in a way she was happy they had screamed mutant. Shana's nature however was to worry about the details, including weather they had seen through her secret. Every person who crossed on the sidewalk, wondering if they had followed from the store. She had tried her best to live avoiding conflict between people. It simply was not needed, everyone was valuable in their own way weather human or mutant. Wrapping a finger across one of her ankle length blue locks she, not for the first time wondered why her mutation had decided to turn her hair this color, it had nothing to do with her gift.
Doing her best to order her mind, she only jumped a few inches when someone actually spoke to her as she had lost all track of her surroundings. The moment she jumped a trashcan a few feet away fell over though no one was near it. It was a bit of an effort to actually look in his direction and a bit more so to near the height of his eyes. The Black haired boy was tall, Shana at almost 5'7 was not short, but this guy had almost a foot on her. The thought of bolting was raging strong in her mind. But as his words actually reigistirred in her mind she realized his words had been kind. Clearing her voice a bit her accent at first sounded some what deep before quickly leveling off, to a quite but somewhat cute voice.
"I..am all right....I guess you saw that...back thare, I'm not so good around people like that" she went on before realization had struck, he must have seen what she did or if not then heard the Mutant witch hunt she had fled. Was he trying to lead her into a trap, did it matter at this point at all, if he was against her, their was not much she could do about it. She only recalled her power a few seconds later, still she held back on using it, so far he had only shown her kindness. grasping her necklace with on her green tipped fingers, she looked over to the trash can just a few feet away still avoiding direct eye contact.
"It makes no sense to me, why everyone just can't get along" she said looking at one of the overturned trashcans nearby. Figuring he had already seen her use it or knew she was a mutant, she used her power to pick the trash can and the bags that had been in it up. Once the can was up she deposited the various bags, bottles and other lose track into the can often picking up several pieces at once. She could have left the can like that but someone would of had to of cleaned it up and she did knock it over. 'I don't get why people hate Mutants so much?" She said in thought still looking in the direction of the trash can.
'My name is Shana" she said more calmly, though her fingers still played at the hem of her black fitted shirt. Her face was framed, in loose sky blue locks, that even gathered behind her fell to her knees. She could fool most people into beleiveing she was a natural female. She disliked groups of people in smaller spaces which was why she had tried to get out od the store so quickly.
As he walked down the street, on his way from a meeting with some of the board members of his deceased parents Oil corporation, he noticed across the street and a bit down the way a door open to a coffee establishment. It being an emergency door set off an alarm in the already rowdy building. He observed from afar, and soon he saw a man following her out and keeping his distance. Could he be the reason for her fleeing?
The traffic on this side of the street was stopped by a light and he could easily cross it quickly, but the other side had cars still moving. He would have to take this chance and move fast. Not in the best attire for running and looking like a 1950's mobster, a black suit with a 3 button jacket, a red tie, leather gloves, black and white dress shoes, and with a fedora on his head, he jumped into the road building speed as he raced across the the road. Holding his hat down as his power increased his speed.
When he reached the first lane of traffic still in motion. He had previously seen that there was a gap in this lane and the next so he continued, moving 20 some-odd miles per hour. The third lane had a cab that almost nailed him save for him jumping and sliding across the hood, like it was the General Lee ,then rolled off onto the side walk stopping on 1 knee and the opposite hand on the ground
Standing he straightened his suit jacket and tie as he saw that the man had merely followed to insure she was okay all the while breathing heavily from the drain of his power. In fact they seemed to be talking. It appears I misunderstood the situation, but I guess better to have made the attempt and been wrong than stayed and been right.
"My name is Shana"
She said it right before he straightened up, but he still heard it and he expected he may have some explaining to do momentarily, along with his name being given as there was not a chance in hell he wasn't noticed doing his little stunt right in front of the alley entance.

Mettaliar was slowly approaching her until the garbage can flew away from them. He stopped completely as it happened, realizing the potential danger she could possess. So this is her power.... He got nervous when the woman quickly jump and turned to look at him. He almost put his hands up as a sign of peace. He didn't want to give the impression that he was going to hurt her. All he wanted to do was help. He sighed slightly as he looked into her dark blue eyes. Everything about her seemed blue. Eyes, hair. It was deffinatly an interesting color to deck yourself out in.
He was going to back up to give her more room and show he wasn't after her, yet there was no need. She suddenly started talking to him in a kind but nervous voice. He calmed himself down as he listened to her. He nodded his head to multiple parts of her monologue. He understood and agreed with what she was saying. By the sound of what she was saying, this woman and Mettaliar would have very similar ideas. Very good to find a mutant who have similar ideals outside of the Mansion. Who knows, maybe he'll be able to convince the woman to join the group at the Mansion.
"They hate us because they're scared of us. I don't blame them, especially with radical groups running around trying to spread havoc and violence." Mettaliar kept his hands out but brought them down to his side. He got closer to her and leaned against the wall. He sighed deeply, turning his head to look at the girl, who had introduced hereself as Shana, and relaxing a bit. "Humans get scared of us more and more everyday. The more mutants that go out and use violence to prove a point, the more evidence politicians have to attack us. And we've already seen how far they've been able to go in the past," he recalled, "and all people are doing is giving them another reason to flip." He shook his head and reached into a pocket of his cargo pants, pulling out a cigar that had been half smoked already. He put it to his mouth and was considering lighting it until his subconscious mind kicked him in the head to remind him that a lady was standing not to far from him. "Do you mind if I light this?"
Before she could answer, two people had come over. Surprised, Mettaliar quickly turned his head at the two. He froze, wondering who they were and why they had come. Suddenly, they came in a friendly way. The guy had calmed down, probably assuming Mettaliar was trying to mug the woman. Thankfully he didn't come in guns-a-blazing. The second one, a female this time, was very peculiar about Shana. She walked up to the blue haired lady and offered to shake her hand. Interesting.... Speechless, Mettaliar waited before saying anything else. He wanted to see what the other two were here to do. He was to scared to even respond with his name to her.

"Violence only breeds more violence, even after a side wins, it is often so used to violence, that that side falls apart as well" She said agreeing with the mans veiws. She agreed with much of what he was saying not just about mutants but for combat in general, Mutants were human and becuse of this they helf the same fear as them, the diffrence being was that Mutants were far more deadly if they wnated to be. "No i do not mind, if you smoke" she said a bit surprised he had aske dher at all, but her impression of new york held stronger by the recent incident as well as news articels was that most new yorkers were ruse and always in a rush.
The rushing part seemed even more evident as she heard several tires screech as well as some angry voices She could not make out. She started to move in his direction when he rolled over the car hood, thinking he might have been hit somehow. Still the well toned, brown haired man looked all right, as he straightened himself up. Unsure weather it was her own paranoia or if like the man next to her, whose name she would have to get, was just concearned about her. She was going to ask a question to both of them on who they were but before she could say it another showed up, this time a woman who was rather cute.
This girl was concearned if she was all right, and Shana's natural avoidence of eyes contact made her eyes rest more on the spots the girl had, which she quickly pulled her eyes from, looking just above the girl, red hair. She introduced herself quite excitedly to, though the Arrival of the new people were starting to fray her nerves, despite the general freindly demeaner. Without meaning to several half destroyed styrafoam cups in her veiw began taking to the air, but dropped once she realized they were floating. Pushing her fears aside as she was already knee deep in this so to speak, she took a deep breath. "I am fine, i just arived in this country today with the intention of heading to a place called Xavoirs to learn control over my ability" she explained hoping this answerd all of the girl's questions. Shana took the girl's hand and tried to return the smile, even as she looked to the other to.
"Can i have your names?" she said her voice cracking a bit. "It would be nice to know what to call you both" she said already having gotten Kasumi's name. She was unsure if what she had heard about the rudeness of people here was true or not, the man at the store had been very rude, but these two had been kind so far, and the third man, she knew littile of yet, but assumed if he was here to harm her, he would have already done so. She had arived a day or so early becuse she had wanted to try and get used to being in a place with so many people in it, as she tended to panic in such situations. Nervously polaying with a strand of hair at her waist level she did her best to appear calm and collected, the sitauation was now quite out of her control in her opinion.
He listened as the girl who introduced herself as Shana talked, and noted the two others who were here. The other man and the girl with the red hair and spots who had offered her hand to Shana and called herself Kasumi. He then realized in his roll off the car hood he had lost hold of his hat so he bent back down and picked it up, although for the moment he just held it in his hand. He then watched as the Styrofoam cups floated through the air. Interesting, someone who can move things without physically touching them. I have heard of such things but never really seen it yet.
"Can i have your names?" "It would be nice to know what to call you both"
"Why yes ma'am, I am Michael hunter. Although most people call me the Ranger."
He says as he places his fedora back on his head, the right side tilting down. His accent gives away he is not from this part of the country, but rather from east Central Texas. After introducing himself, her appearance finally sank in. Blue hair, what an odd color.
"And I apologize for the exciting entrance, but after the commotion I saw taking place down the street and then this fellow following you looking nearly malicious , no offense" Looking at the other man, then back to Shana. "I came running, but it seems I misjudged the situation."
He sticks his hands in his suit jacket's pockets, hoping he doesn't come off looking to much like a mobster since his suit is modeled after the 1950's gangsters. it is even complete with a side arm under the jacket.

Kasumi looks to Shana as she shakes her hand as she nods. Soon she hears were Shana is going "Hey I live there." She smiles more as she sees what Shana is doing "Wow well it seems that you are form a small town I am to when I get scared I start to seep poison so I do not have a full hold on my own powers yet that is why I am here also." Soon she nods to the other man "It is nice to meet you also." Kasumi gives her warm smile to him. Soon she looks over to Mettaliar "I did not see you attacking her... I thought you was trying to help her and clam her down and I was right."
Kasumi looks around "I think we need to get out of the alley.." She laughs some "I mean it is odd us jut hanging out in the alley way?" She was not sure if this was the best hang out spot. Soon she looks at the other girl and smiles "Take a few deep breaths I will need to get you into yoga that really helped me in this place." Kasumi knew how it felt the first few days that she was here. It felt like the city was going to eat her alive that anyone and everyone was going to attack her "I know what it is like to be new to be form a small town not a huge city. I can help you on anything that you need Shana name it and I will do it." Kasumi smiles to her again.
Kasumi did not want to see her get hurt by a anyone it seems that Shana did not want to hurt anyone with her powers also. But she is to scared she can not stop herself form useing her powes. Kasumi understands that also. She just hopes that she can get Shana to clam down enough so her powers do not go nuts. Kasumi can stop herself form getting over scared now. She has worked so hard on that. So she knows how and what Shana is feeling.

"Mettaliar," he answered, "pleasure to meet you." He smiled and nodded his head to Shana as a sign of greeting instead of, say, shaking hands. He put the cigar to his mouth and was about to light it until his good side kicked him in the head again to remind him others had joined their little gathering and might not want to have the sweet smell of tobacco fill their lungs. He sighed as he put his arm down and figured he'd wait awhile before asking again if he could enjoy his precious cigar. Something else had caught his attention instead. The mentioning of the Mansion.
Mettaliar quickly turned his attention to Shana and the other girl, who was apparently named Kasumi. More possible mansion dwellers. Well, one potential mansion dweller. Kasumi had apparently made the transition into the home without the notice of Mettaliar. Interesting. He decided that he as well would play the role of Mansion recruiter/greeter and give his lecture on why Shana would probably be making the right choice.
"So you'll be heading for the Mansion too, Shana? Sweet, maybe you can join my travel back. Like Kasumi," pointing at the girl with cigar in his hand, "I live there, too. Have been living there for almost two years now." He shifted himself to get more comfortable while leaning against the wall and smiled. "Deffinatly a good place to go. The people there are... interesting... but deffinatly some of the best housemates a mutant could have. I'd say you've made a good choice given your feelings on the conflict with humans and mutants. Other living quarters around here are... let's just say... not as appealing to your beliefs, from what I've seen at least."
He sighed again and looked at the ground. Damn Order. Damn Sanctuary. Damn. He sighed again and looked back up at the group of people standing around him. Seemed like good people at least. People Mettaliar could get along with for sure. He soon realized that he was taping his cigar against his leg and stopped. He knew that he could be noticably deep in thought and decided to try to change the subject so that he could calm down. That cigar in his hand was tempting, after all.
"So, does anyone have a problem with me lighting this thing?" He held up the cigar and smiled slightly, waiting for a response.

"well...Ranger" the name sounded strange on her tongue and she was sure her accent was noticeable, but she was hoping it would be. "I am just glad their are so many kind people in the city, i must admit i am surprised by it" she said. At home they had heard many many good things about America in general but for some reason NYC itself never seemed to catch any good news. Shana would have to meet more people to see how true that was however, so far she had met four people in the city and one had ignited a Mutant hatred chant that had chased her out of the building. Relatively few had actually followed and those that did seemed either to be Mutants them selfs or at least supporters of the cause. Shana was happy to see that these people in general seemed to favor peace, she knew fighting was sometimes needed, but also that it was a failure in itself as any talks that could have been done must have fallen by the roadside.
"Actually, Kasumi, was it? I lived in a city called Tel Aviv is Israel, it is a large city though it pails in size and scope to this one." She said to the overly kind girl. "To be honest im just not good around people" She said trying to explain her nervousness away to that which was in part true. Looking back to the cups and concentrated and her eyes began a gentile glow, as they did all three cups rose up and neatly deposited them selfs into the trash. Their was no need to leave the place untidy figuring the cups had prolbely come out of the can she knocked over. "I do agree we should go somhare that at least smells a bit better" she said, her quite tone maintaining as she looked over the three again.
"I could do that, i have a meeting with one of the Mansion staff in a few days, we called ahead" she explaining realizing that if they lived at the mansion that these two were likely Mutants which made her wonder about Ranger, unsure if he was a Mutant or not The implied idea that their was in fact another place Mutants could live was interesting to Shana though she also saw that he did not think highly of it. She might have to check it out later, but Kasumi seemed friendly enough that did not seem the type to live anywhere dangerous. "I believe combat in itself is a failure of negotioan and peace" she said further reinforcing her ideal of harmony. Looking around she wondered whare they would go after this, she could go to the mansion early or anywhere else this group of people thought was interesting. "You would be the first Mutants i have ever met" she said honestly, she had hidden her power even past her natural avoidence of people whenever it could be achieved meant it had been almost impossible.."Do you live at the Mansion as well Ranger?" she aske curiously tilting her head.
He listened as they talked about the mansion, he had heard about it in passing as well as a mention here and again in the paper over the course of him living in New York. All he knew was it was a place for mutants, and a school. He had never run into people who lived there though. He noticed that after Mettaliar mentioned that there are other places, places where they believe differently than the at the Mansion that he became lost in thought for a short moment. I wonder what is with this other place that could so absorb thought after a mere mention.
"So, does anyone have a problem with me lighting this thing?"
At that the Ranger waves his hand to show he does not care and as far as he is concerned can go ahead. Then upon hearing that Shana is from Tel Aviv he speaks up. "I was there once, a few years back. Nice place." and at a mention of moving to another location he says, "Moving to another location is fine with me, if anyone knows a nice place to head to."
While listening to Shana talk more about the mansion and that she is going to be going there, the fact that the three with him at this moment are all involved with it surprises him. Then he hears her view on combat and in his head disagrees but does not openly submit his opinion. His mind then wanders to the past, to his military days and the things he saw people do. Perhaps his dealings with terrorists or both religious and political ties had twisted his view, but he thinks it merely opened his eyes to the nature of man.
"Do you live at the Mansion as well Ranger?"
The question brought him back to the present and hoping no one noticed his zone out. "I do not, I have actually only heard bits about the Mansion in passing. I actually own a place up in the Bronx." He moves his arm and gestures pointing his thumb to the north as he says it. "I moved in 2 months ago, lived in an apartment before that for a month or so. And before that I was in Texas so I have not been here long." He says the word Texas with pride, like many Texans he feels he won the lottery in life to have been raised and be from there.

Mettaliar noticed Ranger simply wave off the question. He guessed he meant he was apathetic about it. Mettaliar nodded and then looked to Kasumi who was a bit more descriptive with her requests yet not by much. All she asked was that the smoke be kept away from her face; a request that could easily be followed. With everyone seemingly in approval, or at least non-aggressive disapproval, of his smoking he quickly smiled to himself reaching into his pocket pulling out his self-made box of self-made matches. Making one was easy with his ability, as all he needed to do was buy the phosphorus or at least get it from the science lab of the school. Not too hard of a job, been doing it for a while and it didn't seemed like anyone noticed anyway. He didn't see any signs about missing phosphorus from the lab, anyways. Taking the match out and striking it, he quickly took the burning match to the end of his cigar that was in his mouth. Quickly, his immediate area began to fill with the burned cherry tobacco from his cigar. More smoke came as Mettaliar continued to puff on it to keep it lit. Leaning his head back, he took his cigar out of his mouth and blew upwards so as to not get it into anyone's face. He smiled to himself. Ahhhh, that's a good smoke.
He continued to smoke as he looked around as most people talked about their origins and how long they had stayed in New York. They were all from quite a far place, especially with Shana being from Isreal. Crazy how a guy like Ranger could go from Texas, most likely a dry, non-urban part to a bustling city like New York. Was very interesting and deffinatly carried a spark in Mettaliar as he wasn't from a far away country or even a far away state. He was from New Jersey, about an hour's drive away as a matter of fact. Deciding to get himself into the conversation he blew more smoke upwards and looked at the others.
"Wow, seems like you guys are from exotic lands compared to New York. I'm from New Jersey myself. Could drive or take a train for an hour and we'd get to my hometown of Morristown." He chuckled to himself and took another puff, this time letting the smoke drain out slowly before blowing it upwards. "Always wanted to go to places like Texas and Alaska. Isreal too. That place seems like it's constantly hectic, though. Guess I'd rather stay here in the states if you'd ask me. Welcome, by the way." He added the last part not knowing exactly how long she had stayed in the states. For a while he sat back and let the others talk. Food was apparently on some peoples minds. Mettaliar wouldn't disagree. He hadn't been able to eat at the coffee shop before the whole chase began.

Shana was unsure how Kasumi had figured out her hair was natural, but her own experience seemed different, her own hair had been like that since birth and had resisted most attempts to hide it. Most people had seemed to believe she was just being rebellious. Shana had taken that in stride however, mostly consuming her time at home when she could. Video games had become a near obsession to her at several points in her life. She smiled in response to Kasumi talking about her parents aceptence, she was happy for the overly friendly woman. She did not mind Mettaliar's want to smoke, in fact in a way she understood it though she smoked something a bit different.
Shana had heard of the Bronx but it took a few secounds to recall what it really was and places like the bronx often made Shana think of a city eating the smaller city's around it.Weather or not some thing like that had happened she had no idea. Alaska she recalled as well but as for the city she had no idea, she could locate it on a map however. The true size of America was becoming somewhat apparent, in a way numbers could not describe, and could not help but wonder how big the city was compared to her home town. She looked to Ranger and smiled happy he had come thare and that he seemed to like it. "America seems a bit exotic to me, to be honest, my entire country could likely fit into this state. Tel-Aviv is one of the nicer places to be back home, We avoid most of the rocket attacks there" She said which was in large part do to the millatent rocket attacks which had gone up do the recent attack by the army, she did feel her people were forced to act but also understood the other side of the issue, the people felt forced to react because they were afraid.
"Food might be nice, I have not eaten since i arivved" she said trying to recall what she had eaten that day. Forgetting to eat was an issue with her, not from any eating disorder but from sheer preoccupation with things around her. She was a bit easily distracted, she had eaten at US style restaurants before, many had sprung up in recent years increasing what seemed like global businesses. The city would certainly be interesting and she wondered how she would navigate it, knowing whare she was going had never been her greatest skill. Snapping back to the matter currently being discussed "Wharever is fine for me, though i think that coffee shop a few blocks back might not be the best choice" she said as a joke, figuring none of them had plans to try that.
