((this takes place in the music room))
It was an oddly cool day outside the Xavier institute, odd weather for the time of year. However, most students didn’t seem to mind. In fact, they seemed to flock towards the cooler air instead of the stuffy air inside the institute. Indeed, it was logical that everyone was outside to breathe in the cool, refreshing air. The thing was, Miss Emerald Lupin was never exactly the woman for logic - or reason for that matter. In truth, the young woman had set her eyes on the piano residing within the music room as the target of her escapades today. Typically, people would think the young, destructive, wolf girl might be trying to get her anger out on the piano by clumsily banging the keys like an untrained monkey. This was actually not the case.
Oddly enough, the young wolf girl’s entry into the darkened music room was to play the piano, something she hadn’t done in a long time. She had learned to play a long time ago when she had made a bet with Sapphire that she could learn something artistic and learn to do it well. With much determination and stubbornness on her part, the little wolf girl learned that she actually had a knack for music.
Emerald never quite understood it herself, but it would seem that music was something she actually could get into. To her, each note or sound she heard was like a ripple in the water she controlled so when she played she oftentimes could imagine the water flowing crashing. The whole thing was actually very calming to her depending on the song. It had been an awfully long time since she last practiced so she figured she might as well sneak in now while everyone was outside enjoying the fresh air.
The jean jacket clad female slunk into the music room a sheet of music tucked firmly underneath her arm. Once she made it to her destination she placed the sheet music on the stand and looked around suspiciously. Really, Emerald didn’t really often have visitors when she played nor did she really want too, god forbid anyone started asking her why she didn’t show off more or something. Emerald wasn’t amazing in her own opinion and despite the fact she liked showing the fact she can beat the living snot out of anyone that came within 50 feet of her, she didn’t like to show herself off when it came to music.
Emerald smiled a little scanning over the music with her eyes for a brief moment, making sure she memorized everything just right before she started to play. However as soon as she started to play the 17 year old couldn’t help but sing along with the song as she played it.
Crimson lights the sky
The bird still asleep
Like a dream it shines
From heaven's safe keep
Children songs we sung
As soft as the breeze
Endless fields, our home
I long for those days
I call out these prayers to the sky
Heavy with thought, see your face
I carry these memories inside
Thoughts of a soul colored by love
See me grow wings and fly high
Passions will die, down below
I burn in a basin of fire
Watchers look on as they dance in their merciless sky
Watching me, Watching you
Silent black, the dawn
And time tells it's tale
Darkened blood, it flows
The forest receives
Look within the dark
As deep as you dare
There inside, you find
Destruction you seek
I call out these prayers to the sky
Heavy with thought, see your face
I carry these memories inside
Thoughts of a soul colored by love
See me grow wings and fly high
Passions will die, down below
I burn in a basin of fire
Watchers look on as they dance in their merciless sky
Watching me, Watching you
Watching me...
Was Miss Emerald Lupin a singer? Nope. Was she some kind of musical phenomena that needed to be discovered and put on a reality tv show on fox? Nope. What she did have was a pretty alto singing voice, good piano skills and a side of her that no one but her sister knew about.
