Aura was right, pianos were very complex and powerful, and even Jax took it for granted. She would have to remember to find one to show her. She never would have guessed that Aura was born in the city; she didn’t seem to have that vibe. She had a more wild feeling.
At the other girl’s offer of help if needed, Jax nodded. “Thanks, I’ll keep that in mind.” With another smile at her, grateful to already have some friendly faces, Jax headed back the way they had come, only once having to think hard about which way to go. Soon she made it out to the lobby again, and she gave a wave to the woman, Lisa, and before she could say anything, Jax held up the paper work. The woman nodded and went back to her work as Jax headed out the golden doors.
Standing next to the motorcycle, she put the file into her backpack and slung it across her body. Soon, she pulled on her helmet and straddled the bike, rumbling off down the dusky street, some of the lights flickering on in the buildings around her.
