The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Daria shifted so that she wasn't sitting on her tail. Having it unrestricted helped her to feel more balanced.
"You are having way too much fun driving this thing." she told Mike as she searched. "Assassins who are hired privatly are hard to track. Eliza is on here, though, under Mutant files. There is a record of almost every mutant case that isn't kept private. If you've had any contact with the government chances are I can find you. She's suspected of but not proven to be guilty for several moments. Wow...she's my age.. About two years ago she was in the same state as Whitmore, who was in paris when she was concieved. Whitmore may have been paying attention to mutants much longer than expected. They must have hooked up at some point when she was 17." Daria shook her head. "She was so young. She may be the youngest assassin in existance right now."
Aeryn snuck out the front door, keeping a wary eye out for any men with guns. The kid with the flaming hair had told her that they'd gone, but being cautious didn't hurt.
Seeing no playground here, Aeryn follwed the wall of the mansion around to the back, and arrived at a small, enclosed playground obviously meant for younger kids. In the middle was what she was looking for, a sandbox.
Hopping the fence, she went over to the box, and stood in the middle of it, getting a feel for how much sand there was. After a second, the entire quantity of sand flowed out of the box, to run in liquid streams through the air above her head.
There was a lot of it, Aeryn realized. Enough to completely surround herself, but it was much harder to control that amount. Stray bits of sand would fly away if she tried to form anything more complex than the streamers. She felt better, though, a bit more secure and confident now that she had an amount that could actually do some damage to an attacker.
With the ball formed, she hopped back over the fence, and walked back toward the front yard. She was perspiring lightly when she got there. Holding this amount of sand constantly in the air behind her was strenuous. She needed something she could carry the sand in. Leaving a good amount of the sand outside, simply because she couldn't fit it all in the door, she entered the mansion, looking for an appropriate container.

After a hectic match with Desiree, Daria sat outside of the mansion beneath a tree drawing the scuttling squirells. While she ddrew them, her cat instincts told her not to hcase them and it was in this way she had learned self discipline.
While Trinity had been making her decision on whether to accept her into the institute or not Emerald had been sleeping in, well a tree. Coincidently it was the tree that Daria just happened to be sitting under. Emerald felt a crack beneath her and her eyes widened, "Oh boy." She growled and before she knew it she cam crashing down right next to the girl sitting beneath the tree.

Having heard the crack of the branch as son as it happened and getting a whiff of the wolf girl, Daria grabbed her stuff and rolled skillfully out of the way.
The dust that rose from the impact clouded her vison for a moment before it cleared and Daria saw an outline of the girl.
"Ow...." Emerald growled, rubbing her head irritably. She hated it when she did that, she always ended up ethier with a migrane or with someone underneath her. She heard someone ask if she was okay, "Im fine, slightly dazed, but fine." Emerald stated walking towards the girl who asked her that.
Her tail wagged back and forth curiously as she looked at the girl. She caught scent of the cat right away but she didnt really care, at least she wasnt part squrriel. "Im Emerald." She said sticking out her hand.

How nice it was to see a girl who had an animal tail like her. She grinned this time because, although it was obviously a dog-mutant, it wasn't trying to atttack her. The smells from this chick seemed to be friendly.
"I'm Daria. It's nice to meet you emarald." Daria said waving her long tail in the air in an attempt to clear the dust away. "Are you a new student?"
"Nice to meet you Daria, as for me being a new student yes I am." Emerald's tail wagged back and forth happily. She was glad to find a fellow half animal mutant. She blew some of her red hair out of her face as she looked at Daria curiously.
"So...your a half cat mutant huh? By chance do you chase...squrriels?" Emerald asked
A mutant research labratory. Emerald thought to herself but she knew she couldnt tell Daria that. "Chassing squrriels is still fun for me!" Emerald grinned, "Oh Im from Salem Massachutes((Sp?)) But my family but thier on private island and I live thier for a while as well." Half of that was true but it wasnt totally false ethier.

"I'm from DC, but I left when i was 15 and traveled all over since then." Daria said. "My parents didn't have an island but they had a restuarant." she shared.
"How was the food in DC?" Emerald asked, attempting to prevent her mouth form watering. She was now craving bacon for some strange reason, wolf instincts were most likely the reason. "I have travelled alot to but I mainly stayed in tree's instead of hotels..just incase if someone says, 'Look a wolf mutant let us tie her to a pole a stick a steak in her face!' or something of that nature." Emerald rolled her eyes.

"Oh yeah, I know the feeling." Daria said. "Ignorant people always attack the mutants. Thats what is so great about this place." she said. "Its mutant paradise."
She smiled. "It was a soul food restaurant. We have the best fried chicken and collard greens you can find."
"Paradise? There is such a thing?" Emerald asked, feeling a chill go up her spine. She hoped this place was a pardise, instead of another foothold in Fusion corp's path of destruction.
"Wait did you say chicken?...chicken." Emerald's wolf instincts briefly took over and she had her mouth agape for a bit. She then shook her head from side to side , "Sorry force of habit." She said, hand behind her head.
