The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Daria blushed under the pressure, which was funny in itself because she was so comfortable around him. But it had been so long since he'd been interactive...so to speak. She giggled in her mind and kissed him back with equal passion, it was obvious that she missed him...very much. She wrapped her tail around his leg.
"...no....god I can't wait till you're all better." she giggled.
Mike smirked. "Give me a day or two, kitten," he teased. He was so used to the strange, intense sensations of the astral plane through his... 'adventures' as Cassiel that there was something much, much more comforting than usual about the personal, physical pleasures going along with the single set of emotions he was focusing on coming from Daria's mind. And as he kissed her, they began floating in the air, a few inches above the ground.

Daria laughed. "yeah, I know...you'd think that after like a month I'd be able to wait a few more days...." she let out an exagerated sigh. "If I must..."
When they started floating, Daria felt her nerves rise a bit, not-of course-because she didn't trust Mike, but because it has been so long since she had 'flown'. It made her think about the very first time she'd gotten curious and Mike made it happen for her. He was very much about making things happen for her. She smiled.
"Careful...I don't want you to strain yourself." she warned. She kept it in the back of her mind to teleport them safely to the ground if mike happened to lose control.

Daria shrugged. "Maybe it's out of my own ignorance of my powers." she laughed. " I still can't decided whether mine are mental or physical, a bit of both i guess." she felt herself relax a little as she was reminded that she wasn't going to fall.
"It all depends on how they're powered, I guess. Mine are only limited by mental blocks... I can't keep this up forever, but the reasons are all in my head, really."
They floated to the ground, and Mike's legs, mercifully, held him up without any problems. "So... care to help me rebel against the Doc and get something to eat?"
