THE WEAPON S DIVISION IS HERE
PLOT: In 2003, the completion of the Human Genome Project had been a boon for the name of science. It earmarked a turning point in the world, a point which proved that even the deepest and most powerful secrets of the human race had the potential to be unlocked. Many believed that no greater scientific achievement would be accomplished for several lifetimes after -- but, as it would appear, that was a falsehood. While the face of the scientific community shown such a brilliant achievement as the height of human understanding, more work was being done in the shadows.
Over the years, various organizations have to pursued the key to battlefield advancement. Some have focused on the mechanical, some on the technology, others on the chemical, but there have always been small sects who have believed that the future of warfare does not begin with the weapon in a soldier’s hand or the vehicle they drive, rather, in the soldier himself.
It was never thought to be possible, but S.U.P.E.R. scientists have finally found key to creating the perfect soldier -- according to their standards. In a world that is overrun with powerful mutants, why capture them, when you can make them?
SETTING: S.U.P.E.R. has begun to set up shop in the MROverse. In order to prove to the governments of the world that their methods are necessary in this universe, they have begun to open the doors of the Weapon S Division. Lead by the enigmatic geneticist Dr. Jezebel Weber, a woman whose origins are heavily redacted and hidden away from prying eyes, Weapon S is quickly proving to be the perfect example of exactly what S.U.P.E.R. can offer all universes concerning the ‘mutant threat’.
Dr. Weber has done it. She has discovered the key to creating soldiers, and what better way to do that than with the most powerful mutants S.U.P.E.R. has ever come across? Through means that are deeply shrouded, the good doctor has developed a method of mixing and matching mutant DNA strands from samples gathered either from mutant detainments, currently held mutant subjects, or samples obtained out in the field.
By combining compatible DNA samples and putting them through a process which includes, simulated gestation and accelerated aging, details that Dr. Weber and her team keep closely guarded, S.U.P.E.R. has an small army of truly the most terrifying entities the world has ever seen. Imagine combining some of the most dangerous with some of the most powerful mutants running amok. Truly the resulting individual would be quite the deterrent for any of the more murderous or “difficult” mutants running free. Something which, according to S.U.P.E.R., the MROverse desperately needs.
HOW THIS AFFECTS MRO: S.U.P.E.R. is dangerous enough as it is. Human and Adapted agents, along will both willing and unwilling mutant inductees already make them a force to be reckoned with. Now, in order to combat the apparent “Wild West” ways of the MROverse, S.U.P.E.R. is unleashing the Weapon S Division which houses a variety of homegrown mutants who are hybrids between several of the most powerful mutants that they have come across. These individuals will act as Elite Forces for S.U.P.E.R., tackling most of the “simple” mutant problems, but it also serves a purpose outside of just knocking together a few heads.
A side effect of the Weapon S soldiers is the fact that their very nature will draw out some of the most careful and reluctant members of the mutant community. As these soldiers will essentially be the “offspring” of many of the mutants in both worlds, there leaves ample room for hostile run-ins or even confusing conversations. Either way, no matter what approach the Weapon S soldiers take, it will leave their mutant parents confused and open to weakness.
HOW YOU CAN GET INVOLVED: “Care to participate in a blood drive?”
Here’s where the fun begins...we need volunteers! Ever wonder what a child between your character and another on the site would be like without having to go through all that time consuming and pesky “dating” and “romance”? Why not do it the clinical way? Here is how it is going to work OOC:
1.) People who are interested can sign up their characters (blood can be gotten from anywhere, from fights or taken from blood banks, be creative or just waggle your fingers and say a wizard did it!)
2.) Pairings will be selected randomly (by staff or myself) and players will be notified.
3.) Paired people will then chat it up and develop what looks and powers the Weapon S soldier will have that is based on their characters’ DNA. (Be as creative with the mixing or non mixing of your powers as you like! But do try to keep it in the MRO Powers guidelines, a la, combined powers make sense).
4.) Once paired people come to an agreement concerning their offspring, they will sent in and added to an NPC list of Weapon S soldiers.
5) After being added...it's up to you! Interact with them however you like! Cause mental tortures to your families! Try to teach them a better way! Have them ruin everything your character hold dear! The sky’s the limit!

NOTES: The DNA of Svetlana Sergeyeva, obtained from earlier capture and prolonged detainment, has been utilized as a vital part of Dr. Weber's research. However, records of the her name were sealed, and samples are only referred to as SS-9 by a select crew of high ranking S.U.P.E.R. agents and lab technicians. Only Dr. Weber knows of the samples origins and she does not allow it to be common knowledge in her lab.

(Due to Epsilon-4's unique combination, I am highlighting his abilities for more in-depth explanation:
Mutant Sense: When he is within 5-feet of someone who is a mutant,him hand begins to tingle (depending on which side of him the mutant is closer to). As he gets closer to a mutant, a magnetic-like pull increases in strength to help him discern where they are.
Strengths: Can tell if a nearby person is a mutant.
Weaknesses: Does not reveal the mutation of mutants within range.
Mutant Sense Activated Reactive Enhancement: Triggered by the activation of Mutant Sense, Epsilon-4’s muscles are able to be enhanced to boost running, lifting power, or the heart. This enhancement is reactive to the threat, it is dictated by the need not by what Epsilon-4 wants. The enhancement is relative to natural ability. The naturally stronger his muscles the more he can lift, the faster he is the faster he can become, and so on.
Strengths: Enhances one muscle driven physical attribute such as strength or speed. Once active it can remain on for up to 4 hours.
Weaknesses: Only one physical attribute can be enhanced at any one time and while it is enhanced other attributes are weakened. So when he is running faster he cannot carry as much weight or move as fast as normal while burdened by increased muscle mass for strength. Can only activate while Mutant Sense is active. This limits Epsilon-4’s ability to go rogue and attack humans.
Mutant Sense Activated Reactive Defense: While Mutant Sense and Reactive Enhancement are running, Epsilon-4’s body can increase one of a number of defensive abilities. This power provides Epsilon-4 with the ability for his bones and joints to increase their durability allowing them to resist the force generated by manipulating objects with his power’s maximum strength. His skin can react to increase his resistance to cuts, punctures, electric shock, or extreme temperatures. Only one of these can operate at a time. Reactive defense also takes time before it can change from one defense to another. Once it reacts to something assaulting the Epsilon-4 it must be engaged for at least twenty seconds before it can switch.
Structural Strength: When his power is empowering the strength of his bones and joints, they are able to handle the crushing force of his weight plus his maximum ability to lift.
Slash resistance: By aligning and increasing the number of collagen fibers in his skin, the Epsilon-4’s skin becomes incredibly hard to cut through. It has the equivalent of a 4.5 on the Mohs scale. This is on the harder side of steel.
Puncture resistance: By increasing the number of randomly aligned collagen fibers and thickening the skin, the Epsilon-4’s skin takes on the equivalent of level III body armor. Anything above what level III is rated for will likely be delaminated, which means that the jacket and core will likely separate and reduce the effectiveness of the round, as it passes the skin if not ball ammo or armor piercing.
Electrical resistance: The human body under optimal conditions has a resistance of around 100,000 Ohms. When his power is active the Epsilon-4’s body has a resistance of 12,500,000 Ohms. This is enough that if he grabbed a prong from a taser in each hand it would not conduct through him.
Thermal resistance: In instances of extreme hot or cold, the Epsilon-4’s skin is able to reduce its thermal conductivity. This means he loses less heat in the cold and takes in less heat when it is extremely hot. This allows him to walk through fire and travel through subzero temperatures for short durations. The resistance wears down over time and the duration of its effect is reduced by the extremity of the temperatures. At most he can have six minutes, three uses of the power, standing in an open fire or exposed to temperatures below zero degrees Fahrenheit.
Strengths: Any of the aspects of the defensive power can be provided in conjunction with one of his other power’s aspects. This aspect of the Epsilon-4’s power can respond the moment he has need, the moment he begins to take damage (as long as his other powers are running). This power does not reduce the effectiveness of Reactive Enhancement while it is active.
Weaknesses: Can only be used if Mutant Sense and Reactive Enhancement are running. Only one aspect of the defensive power can be active at any time. Whichever harm affects the Epsilon-4 first is the one his power will react to. Once it has reacted it must remain in that state for a minimum of 20 seconds before it can switch to another aspect. It’s a tremendous energy sink to transition into any one aspect and from one to another. If nothing causes the power to switch from one aspect to another it will end after two minutes following the last attack it defended against. Three changes is enough to leave the Epsilon-4 winded by itself. Following this he must take a rest of at least an hour before the power can activate again. That or a single use and two Mutation Transfers.
Reactive Defense Mutation Transfer: While Reactive Enhancement is active, Epsilon-4 is able to temporarily bestow one aspect of Reactive Defense to someone else. The aspect transferred is what the power determines they need most in their situation and while it is being used by another person he cannot use it, himself. He can bestow up to two aspects of Reactive defense, but they must be to different people. A dark handprint appears on the target. If the handprint is washed off the they lose the power. If thermal resistance is bestowed it can be used three times, with no shorter than twenty seconds between when one use starts and another starts after it.
Strengths: Able to provide up to two allies with defenses to attacks or other dangers. Ten foot range for bestowing.
Weaknesses: He cannot control which aspects he bestows. When an aspect has been bestowed his Reactive Defense cannot use it to protect him. Can only be used on two allies. Can only be used if Reactive Enhancement is active. Can only last as long as Reactive Enhancement is active, if it so too does the bestowed power turn off. If the handprint is washed off, the power goes away.)
Designation: Iota-13 Alias: Lucky Age: 18 Parentage:Luke Benson and Raine Powers: Internal electrical storage, conductive claws/quills, enhanced hearing Personality Traits: Self-loyal/treacherous sneak, emotionally volatile, narcissistic. Appearance: 5’11”, wide shoulders and long arms and legs, lean muscles. Caucasian skin, lightly tanned, messy black hair that sticks up naturally. Unusually large brown eyes on narrow face, small nose, large mouth with thin lips. Slightly pointed ears. Forearms have light coat of dark brown fur, as does upper back. Areas with fur and hair on head also have flat, concealed needle-like quills about 1 inch long. Hands have thick, sharp nails, but with long sleeves can pass for normal human at a glance.
Power notes:
Electrical Storage: Iota-13 passively draws residual electrical energy into himself through the build up of static charge. While his exact capacity is unknown, he appears to be able to hold at least 13 taser-level shocks before going berserk and unpredictable with the need for electrical release. He can discharge this energy with skin-to-skin touch or with his conductive traits (see below), releasing some or all of his charge in the process.
Close-range Conduction: Iota-13 possesses tough, claw-like nails that are not notably different without close inspection. He has numerous small quills on his scalp, arms and upper back/shoulders. These quills can be raised, removed, and the ones on his arms can be used as projectiles by jerking his arm in a direction. The quills are needle sharp and can hold a small amount of charge even after being released from his body. A lost or removed quill regrows after about 24 hours.
Enhanced Hearing and Smell: Iota-13 possesses superhuman auditory and olfactory senses, with almost double the distance of a normal human. Range of pitch and frequency is equivalent to a human’s, and he cannot discern infrasound or ultrasound.
Designation: Delta-13 Alias: Topher Briggs Age: 17 Parentage:Juliette Lawson and Celestina De Ward Powers: Light radiation field (like visible radiation waves) up to 5m for 5 minutes, light radiation form, light radiation targeted blasts Personality Traits: Timid, but focused; intelligent; steadfast. Appearance: Around 5'11", lightly tanned skin, short brown hair, green eyes.
Designation: Alpha-16 Alias: Lillith “Lily” Rogers Age: 30 Parentage:Jorge Cervantes and Noel Powers: Waters of Memory - Within 10 feet of a person, Lily can pull some of a target’s water out through their skin— each drop feeling like a needle prick. This not only leaves the target a little more dehydrated each time she performs this action, but it is not pleasant to have about 1 cup of water forcefully removed from the body, drop by drop. (1 cup is over 4,000 drops and takes about 10 minutes to fully remove.) It takes about 2 cups of water before a target feels woozy, as if they have given blood (20 minutes). After an hour of power use, Lily’s victim will show signs of moderate dehydration and at 4 hours that becomes severe.
Upon absorbing even a drop of this water, Lily will be able to focus in on the target’s physical state (heart rate and general wellness), location (if within 1 mile radius), and mental alertness (awake or asleep). If Lily is within 10 feet of her target and is able to absorb a steady stream of water, she can focus intensely into the subject’s mental state and review any working memories (memories made since the last time the subject has slept). If she takes on too much of a person’s water in a day, she becomes memory-logged and will permanently absorb a personality-defining memory from her victim. (She knows who she is, but may remember the Vietnam war.)
Personality Traits: Sweet, Wholesome, Ruthless Appearance: Dewey fawn-colored skin with freckled, rosy apple cheeks. Lily has a button nose, wide hips, and a healthy set of curves for her just over 5-foot frame. Her hair is kinky spirals of cinnamon and as bouncy as her personality. She enjoys feminine dresses, jewelry, and lipstick.
Designation: Iota-35 Alias: Iona Age: 17 Parentage:Ion & Glitch Powers: Large sections of the body, especially those parts normally concealed by clothes, are robotic. These sections are composed of steel plates and wiring along with other structures analogous to the human body. This includes the chest, upper arms, parts of the legs, and the left forearm. Her skull is also metal beneath her skin. These sections are tough and heavy but able to store electrical charge.
The human parts of the body can generate electrical charge. They can also release electrical charge. The ability to release the charge raises the longer the power is active. Going from the high voltage and lower amperage power of a taser to the high voltage high amperage power of a plasma cutter over the course of a fer minutes. The power must be running to build up the ability to release the current. If the generation is kept as low as the ability to release the current and the power is pushed into the storage of the mechanical parts then the human parts to not give off a corona. If electricity is generated without any sending it somewhere it builds up and creates a corona or causes electrical breakdown at very high voltages.
The power can even be moved from the human to mechanical parts to overvolt them. This increases the power of the moving parts. Increasing strength as the power given to them is increased. The overvolting can raise the strength of the mechanical parts by up to three times her normal strength. After several minutes of running in an overvolted state the mechanical parts will begin to break down and need to be repaired or replaced. Personality Traits: Cold and robotic. The cyborg appearance gave no reason for the team to even consider treating her as a human or anything other than a tool. Appearance: Standing at 5’6” she is part human, part machine. Her torso, upper arms, the left forearm, and part of her legs are robotic. Those parts are covered in yellow metal plating. The rest of the body is human with a fair skin tone. She has short and easy to manage blonde hair and blue eyes.
