Mutations
Mutation description:
Extremely localized temporal compression -- Trace can create a bubble in which time is compressed. This would mean that people impacted by the power experience time at a much faster rate than those outside of the bubble. I would think something like a person inside the bubble (possibly 3-4 feet in radius) would experience time at a rate of 1-2 minutes on the inside happening in one second on the outside. That's all he can handle, however. He cannot currently compress time at that ratio for a longer period. The bubble is formed with Trace at its center.
Strengths:
The bubble allows a lot of actions to take place. Things like disguises, conversations and planning in a pinch could happen. Movements observed from outside the bubble would seem to be at a very high rate of speed (there would be an almost blurry quality to the person doing the moving). Movements inside the bubble seem to happen at a normal rate. If very small movements were made, there would be almost no discernible difference to an onlooker (i.e. Talking, very careful movements). People and objects caught inside the bubble would be affected and would progress at the same rate as Trace.
Weaknesses and Limitations:
The bubble is unable to be moved when after it is created. It is not something that follows Trace as he moves around. Additionally, it takes a great amount of strength for the bubble to be upheld. Also, objects crossing from inside the barrier of the bubble are effected in strange ways. An arrow fired from inside the bubble does not fly straight outside of it; it comes out askew, flies in the wrong direction, disappears entirely. This prevents a time bubble from becoming a convenient sniper's nest or trap. Objects coming into the bubble from outside after it's been established cause the bubble to collapse.
Physical Abilities
General Physical Capabilities: Trace has normal fitness abilities. He goes to the gym, but isn't a body builder. More of the toned-but-capable type.
Fighting Style:
Trace is a great fighter. He's had training in various forms of martial arts since he was a kid. It works super well with his profession because sometimes, you have to fight. There isn't a way around it.
Fighting Style Pros/Cons:
He's a well practiced fighter. This gives him high levels of confidence in fights. That's not always a good thing. Sometimes he's overconfident in his abilities. He likes to think that he can handle any situation, but when dealing with other Mutants, that's not always the case.
History Of Your Character Trace discovered his power right around puberty, right when most people with mutations do. After a martial arts class one day, Trace was walking down the street. Being a middle school student that was into martial arts didn't make Trace super popular. A group of larger kids caught up to Trace and started picking on him.
Trace tried to rise above the situation and keep his center, so he mostly ignored them. That only worked for so long, however, because these kids were particularly persistent. While walking down the sidewalk flanked by his pursuers, one of them decided it would be a great idea to push Trace towards the street. He fell into the road in front of a truck.
Panicking, Trace reached out and everything around him started to slow. It gave him just enough time to roll out of the way as the truck passed by. He worked on his power over the years to come and started to discover that he didn't have the ability to slow time down, he was just able to compress time around himself.
He found out that if he took a clock into his newly discovered "bubble", that a minute would go by ridiculously fast.

Sample RP:
Snatch-and-grab missions always rubbed Trace the wrong way. It was one thing to go into a mission where the enemy was at least well-prepared enough to offer some resistance. It was another thing to snag an HVT when they weren't expecting it. It didn't really matter much, Trace was going to follow orders. His employer generally expected that and the consequences of failing to follow orders could be pretty serious. But that's pretty much how black ops worked for private individuals. You did what you were told and you didn't ask questions. Maybe in a different world Trace would have done the right thing. But in this world, the pay was too good and international arms dealers shouldn't have been stupid enough to talk their dog alone. At night.
Cognitive dalliances aside, it was with a certain amount of disdain that Trace sat waiting in the park, for his target to walk by. The man wouldn't be able to do anything to stop him. Trace had done his homework. After extensive profiling of the target, the only thing the man did alone was walk his dog. No bodyguards, generally not heavily armed. The dog was some yappy little thing that really wasn't much of a concern.
The target approached slowly. When he was about five feet up the path from Trace, Trace focused, reaching deep within himself. He felt his power kick in and an unseen bubble popped up around him. Trace opened his eyes with a smirk.
The thing about this bubble was that inside it, time progressed incredibly quickly. That gave Trace approximately a minute to do whatever he wanted. Sure, he had thought about using this ability to set a land mine in front of an enemy. Under the right circumstances, the only thing the poor sap would see would be a blur. But land mines weren't really Trace's style, too deadly. He was more Wil-E Coyote type. More bang than bloodshed. So that's why he'd rigged up this little trap.
The cymbal monkey he'd placed in the middle of the path started to chirp and play his desperate beat. That little monkey banged those cymbals together in his self assigned pace. To the arms dealing scum bag walking down the path, the simian Ringo Starr would appear out of nowhere. Trace had hopped over the low wall the path ran by. It really was the little things in life.
Trace released the bubble and heard the monkey go ting ting ting chirp chirp before being snatched from the ground by the dog. Just when the target crossed right by the wall, Trace stood up from his hiding place and leveled him in a single blow. Target's momentum plus Trace's well placed strike equals unconscious bad guy. And an incredibly large paycheck for Trace.
