MRO is an intermediate to advanced writing level original character, original plot X-Men RPG. We've been open and active since October of 2005. When I arise from the abyss, I shall do so from scratch; retire my old chars and bring in a new face. However, since Ty's been with me since day one of my MRO tenure, I feel he deserves a big sendoff. I don't necessarily mean kill him, but that idea is not completely off of the table.
I'm open to any and all feedback on how to have Ty Fisher/Sleipnir go out with the style he rightfully deserves. And of course...no party is complete without guests!
So let the ideas flow, and let's do this thing!
EDIT: So far, I'm thinking death may be the best option, sadly. That or one final, action-packed heist ending in him relocating to some remote location, handling business elsewhere, either for Ragnarok or as leader of his own off screen, obscure faction of mutant thieves/vigilantes elsewhere.
Option A would be more final and dramatic, and I think he's run his course on MRO.
What about something that took him out but left the option for a TV/Movie style return should you so wish it for some great future plot?
What if the object he touches to read overloaded his mind and rendered him comatose? Or maybe it's a combo of some sort of trap of something he's reading that shows him putting a memory in it already and it overloads him because he doesn't understand how that could be, etc.
Then, when some bad ass plot comes around that you really do want to throw Tyler in for his last hoorah, you can have him wake up in some way and truly finish with him in that plot. I figure that's better than struggling to invent something now that doesn't give you quite the send off you want.

Well , Pfficer Linely might be able to help with this, could be quite an interesting thing to do. If Ty has had a traumatic experience -say Spasm catches him in the act of doing a crime ,"goes nuclear on him" and renders him comatose as the pain overwhelms him.
Could have some interesting implications and social commentary involving cops using potentially lethal force against petty criminals. Just my thoughts on the matter if you want to go down that route.

Well, I sorta do plan on shelving Ty for good; I feel he's made a good long run on MRO, but it's time to bring in a new face and have a different kind of fun.
I'm sort of doing a jigsaw puzzle with this thing, taking bits and pieces of different ideas and adding them to one I had earlier today to make one big, epic plot.
I do like the idea of cops being involved, actually. He always did end up on the wrong side of the law. And I already kinda pulled the coma card lol

That role has been filled, but I could definitely work in some drama with Aura...
After all, Ty did pretty much leave the order for Ragnarok, and she did know Ty...in fact I think she played a role in recruiting him to the Order, if I'm not mistaken...
