Sanctuary Block Party - Outside (Open)

"Can't wait," Devon said eagerly. "This dance floor will look awesome once it gets darker." The foam mats were like puzzle pieces and made for some cushion on the concrete of the street. Couldn't have people killing their ankles and knees while dancing right? There were lights set up, the stage for the band during the day and the DJ later tonight. Thank you Chrysalis!

He moved quickly. He was tired, but so very excited. It had taken a lot of work not just by him but all the volunteers in Sanctuary and certainly the great many contributors outside of it. All the game stalls were up and running as well as the seating area for table games or those sitting to chat. Interaction and exposure was a big party of the day.

The smell of the first burgers and hot dogs was welcoming too. There was a large section set up for grills and contributing restaurant stands. Watermelon, the first apple cider of the season, ribs, the paella place from a few streets over... People could eat well here. All the contributors had been well advertised on the flyer for the Sanctuary Block Party. He hoped their help here also got them new business.

This was a community, an important one.

"Hey Roadie, thank you again," Devon grinned and tapped the armadillo backed doorman from Chrysalis. Any help was appreciated. Chief had to be around here somewhere...

The band was starting to play. What was that? Some Goo Goo Dolls covers? Great! Devon waved to a few more people as he ascended the stairs, balloons swaying in the comfortable breeze of the day on the lamp posts. He cast out a glance over the outdoor portion of the block party and then swiftly inside.
