The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

(Nyahlrighty this takes place the day after the big escape. Everyone is starting to work and Bloodfang has been playing with Emerald for most of the night.))
"Now Now Emerald quit struggling, you wouldn't want me to make another cut now would you?"
Upon looking at this scene one would find a very disturbing sight, one that would most likely be only seen in a late night lifetime movie. On the floor laid the heroine of our story, Emerald Lupin. The Wolf girl's hair was strewn in her face, clumped together with sticky blood which pooled around her body. Various cuts of different depth, were made in different places on the girls body, causing the blood to flow from them freely. She was in the guards Barracks, but in a much more isolate area, not explored by most of the guards besides hardly anyone came into the room which made it perfect for the captor to not be distracted as he 'worked.'
Each of her cuts was beginning to get encrusted with blood as Emerald laid there. It would seem that she had been beaten into near submission, judging by the large purple bruises that covered her arms and legs. She was attempting to lash out at her attacker with her hands and feet, trying to get the male as far away from her as possible but with no avail, her body had become too weak from its loss of blood.
Bloodfang looked down at the wolf girl with a small smile plastered upon his face. He had a large ring of blood around his mouth and his elongated fangs showed as her grinned wildly at the she wolf that he held on the ground with just a chain attached to that collar of hers.
He was happy he had found her beating up that guard who damaged her sisters tail. He enjoyed the fight Emerald put up when she saw him and how he enjoyed feeling her struggle when he finally managed to grab her. However, what he enjoyed most was feeling her feeble kicks and punches on his body. Despite the fact that Emerald was still strong without her wolven strength, he was still stronger making the fight against him absolutely useless. The only thing was he couldn't get Emerald to scream, he wanted to but it just hadn't happen yet, he knew he would get her to do it later though he just needed to be patient and wait for his meat to get ripe first.
Bloodfang grinned as a few tendrils of Emerald's own blood wrapped around her arms, pinning her down to the ground the then wrapped around her legs, pining them to the ground. He smiled at the wolf girl, looked at that delightful look in her eyes, the stubborn look that hid fear an terror deep within it.
"Shh....Emerald my pet, I just want one more taste of your sweet blood. Come now my pet, you will be my mate soon and I need to know everything about you. What better way to find out then through your blood?" Bloodfang purred
He knelled down to her level again, causing Emerald to shudder as his tongue touched the nape of her neck. She felt the sickening warmth of his tongue lapping up the blood. The wolf girl watched as he moved down to her stomach, crouching over her body like a wolf feating on his prey. Bloodfang then turned into his dire wolf form and began lapping at the various cuts on her flat stomach. The Wolf girl let out a snarl as well as a harsh bark, foot kicking upward and luckily making its mark.
Bloodfang staggered off Emerald, changing back into human form. He clutched at his stomach growling irritably at the wolf girl. The Male went over to the first aid kit he had hidden under his bed and grabbed bandages from it. He then wrapped up Emeralds wounds, all the ones he inflicted on her, causing Emerald to look up at him with a questioning look.
"Can't have you bleeding to death before we mate. Besides I love the way your blood tastes so much I am gonna open you up a little later for another taste," Bloodfang smirked as he ran his long claw like finger down to Emerald's thigh. "And I know just were to do it."
Emerald growled at Bloodfang, struggling about weakly. "Let me go back to my sister, she needs me." She ordered, a small bark escaping her lips.
Bloodfang merely rose up and shook his head. "Sorry my dear but I first have to patch up the man you nearly killed and then make an explanation to your head female why you won't be in work for a few days. See you later love."
Emerald let out a long anguished howl, slamming her fists against the ground again and again until her knuckles started to bleed again. Emerald couldn't believe she was this weak to be caught by Bloodfang, to be tortured by him and unable to fight back the shocks to escape.
"Somebody get me out of here!" Emerald yelled at the top of her lungs, she kept on yelling this until her throat began to get sore. She didn't know that this part of the barracks soundproof, or that no one was coming to clean Bloodfangs bunk.
The wolf girl whined softly as she tried to shift positions rubbing her arms against the ground, irritating her bruises. With great pain she managed to sit up against the stone cold wall, trembling from its lack of heat. She placed her head in her hands, curling her legs close to her body, trying not to feel the pain of her swollen limbs.
She started to think of all what and who she was missing right then and there. One was Ruby, it was that little girl's spirit that kept her going in this hell hole, well that and the fact she was to damn stubborn to die. Ruby was no doubt worried about her and probably had tried to stay up all night looking for a sign of her but Emerald knew that Ruby was now worried sick because she hadn't been in the barracks for a day. The wolf girl was also worried about little Mille and she hoped the little girl had been told she was on 'vacation.' instead of being locked in this hell.
The Lupine females mind drifted to her real parents who were no doubt worried about her but also her surrogate parents/siblings and best friends Mike and Daria. The two had been missing for a little while and she hoped that they weren't coming back to this hell any time soon.
She thought about Rupert and how he had broken Raina's heart. The guy had a good heart but she felt he needed a better head on his shoulders. Em thought about Sapphire as well and she hopped that Sapphire would stay as far away from everyone as usual in order for her not to get caught.
Johnny
Emerald thought about that Boy 24/7 hoping that he was doing alright and hoping that he wouldn't come and try to rescue her, she was too afraid that he would get hurt.
"What the world needs now is love sweet Love its the only thing that theres just to little of.What the world needs now is love sweet love no not just for some for everyone." Emerald sang quietly to herself as she lay against the wall.
Emerald smiled lightly to herself deciding to remix the words to pass the time as she waited for her fate.. "What the wolf needs now is love sweet love it would be nice if I could get some help from up above."
"Emmy... Emmy..." The voice seemed to come from above her, near a window. And if she looked up, she'd see Mike apparently sitting on a windowsill, a package floating near him. "If you remember one thing I've ever taught you, remember this. You're never, EVER alone." He floated down next to her, the package following him, and crouched next to her. As he touched her, her pain faded, blocked from her mind, and though she could tell something was 'off' about his touch, it gave the same reassuring feeling as he wrapped an arm around her, letting her lean on him.
"Wow ask and ye shall recieve." Emerald responded with a slight grimace.
She leaned up against Mike, tail wagging back and forth slowly. The wolf female didn't feel any more pain and she was soothed by his presence. It was like having an older sibling around for her and it was a nice feeling.
"Your scents kinda different...though I can't smell well anymore." Emerald looked disappointed though. "I've lost alot of blood Mike am I gonna die or something because I may be chained to a wall but I can still fight the grim reaper for my soul."
He smiled, smoothing her hair. "You only smell me because you expect to. I'm at the mansion right now... Daria's with me, an the Doc an a few kids. We're not sure what to do just yet, but I can still use the mansion's equiment to do my 'out of body' thing and pop in here. And no... you're not going to die." As he spoke, the package opened, revealing blood packets he'd stolen from the infirmary. The needles inserted themselves in her wrist and blood began flow back into her. "I can't do much physically here without draining myself... but I can help some, until we come up with a better plan." As the blood packs emptied into Emerald, Mike just sat with her, smoothing her hair, telekinetically wiping the dried blood out of it.
Emerald didn't look when the needle inserted into her, causing her to let out a soft bark. She didn't like needles, never had and never will even when they were helping her. Emerald was relaxed more than she was before, due to the fact that now Mike was here and making everything feel okay.
When she noticed the blood leaving her hair she smiled tail wagging. It was soothing to have Cassiel the Angel of Tears here with her. As odd as that would sound to some people.
"Mike is everyone okay? Outside of the camps?" Emerald paused for a moment looking down at her bruised legs. "Also...you aren't in pain right now because of all the pain Bloodfang put me through right? You arent feeling like an Emaciated 17 year old are you?"
"No... I'm not yet," he said, quietly. "outside the camp... it's hard. I haven't found that many people yet. I found the Doc, and Janie and Tricity's son, and a couple other people trapped in the Danger Room. Aside from that... I'm still looking. But I couldn't do that without looking in on you first." He kissed the top of her head before continuing. "I can't do much from this distance, but I can do some. I helped a couple people escape last night... you probably heard the explosion they caused. Tonight, though, it's time to make sure Bloodfang has had his last snack from you," he concluded, his voice growing a bit harder.
Emerald made sure she was as close to Mike as possible, due to the feeling of warmth emitting from him. She didn't like being cold and the problem was the camps seemed to like keeping thier rooms freezing.
"So...you saw or noticed all what Bloodfang did. You know it doesnt really hurt that bad I mean really, the whole blood being drained from me thing, I could hardly feel a thing." Emerald lied, before changing her tone to a pained one. "You know though the mating thing may hurt though, the problem is the first person I 'mate' with I will have a bond with for the rest of my life due to the fact that wolves mate for life. "
She kept her head on Mikes shoulder, tail wagging back and forth slowly. "You know who I am gonna ask about next dont you? But if you dont want to talk about it big brother you could just tell me how was your trip and how you intend from keeping a lusting bloodsucking wolf away from me."
"I'd be more than willing to talk about Johnny... but I haven't found him yet, either. I'm sure he's fine... I'd know if something had happened to him. Right now just relax. Big Brother has you, and nothing's going to touch you for now. Thankfully... I know how to beat the hell out of this guy without having to use my telekinesis."
"Our trip was... eventful. First Church of Humanity, then... robot things. We lost them somewhere in Germany, then made our way back to find that everything had gone to hell."
"Just relax, Emmy... Everything is going to be fine," he said quietly. "Daria and I love you, we're going to get you out of here. We're going to get everyone out... somehow."
"You could look at the sandwhich place we went to they day we first met. They have rooms in the back for travlers and mutants hiding from the law, maybe you will find him or anyone else in there." Emerald suggested helpfully, trying her best to keep her spirits up.
But who was she kidding
The wolf girl put her hands on the side of her head, letting out a short bark of distaste. "I can't do this Mike." Emerald puased for a moment, tears welling up in her eyes and then falling down her face. "I can't keep acting like I'm 28 when I'm only seventeen years old. This place is making me loose myself into trying to survive and trying to take care of everyone and trying to keep a chipper damn smile on my face while people around me die! I have been through this before Mike I went through this for ten years of my life I did'nt want ot do this again. I want to go home Mike, I want to watch movies, play video games, shove catnip in Daria's pillow when she isn't looking and stuff that teenagers do but instead I'm here acting like I am a war veteran coming back to another war."
Emerald leaned into Mike's shoulder, tears running down her face. "Why did they make this so hard for us Mike, what did mutants ever do. What did I do to be nearly beaten to death and then possibly raped by a freaking pyshcopath...nothing. I just want to come home mike, I want to come home now."
Emerald had finally started to crack upon the pressure put on her. For you see she had been acting like a responsible teenager all this time that she had been missing out on many things and she was getting sick of it. She wanted to go home.
"You will be home, Emmy... I promise," he whispered, holding her tight and rocking very slightly. The blood had drained from the bags by now, so the needles slid out, and the bags went back into the package. "I'm so, so proud of you, Emmy. You've held it together for longer than I ever could have asked. But right now it's time for you to just let it go. Let me take it away for now." Her hair, by now, was stripped down and much cleaner, as each time his hand ran through it, more tangles and blood and grime came out of it. And now, with each stroke of his hands, more of her pain and frustration and fear spilled into him. The only gift he could give her now was a few moments of calm, of peace... and nothing was going to stop him from doing that.
A sweet wave of relaxation spread over the wolf girl's body, causing her to breathe in and out at a more relaxed pace. She felt the feelings of pain, exhaustion and worry slowly fade away allowing her to have a moment of peace.
All of what spilled into Mike was her fear of letting Ruby get hurt, her exaustion of working in the quarry day and night, her physical pain from her body all the abuse she was getting from the guards and finally the emotional pain that ranged from the vague thought of being unable to get out as well as the fear of Bloodfang and what he might do to her if he came back.
The wolf girl oddly was starting to fall asleep, something she handt done in the pass few weeks. She hadn't got a full night sleep in the two months she had been in this hell hole and with all her worries fading away that looked really nice right about now.
"Mike, how come you and Dar didn't come sooner? You had to have known something was happening since you didn't hear from the mansion, so where were you guys when the raid happened?" Emerald asked, some malice strewn in her voice.
Part of the wolf girl was mad at the two for not being there when they were really needed.
"Also...both of you forgot my Birthday and Ruby's. " That Lupine female stated with a bit of irritation in her voice.
"I'm sorry, Emmy," he said quietly. "We haven't had anything to communicate with the mansion with for about two months, ever since a near-miss we had in Madrid. So this was a complete surprise to us when we got back."
"Daria says she owes you a new bike or something. And I'll do my best to stay out of a coma for your next birthday. And we'll make it one to remember... okay?" he said, slightly teasing, as he stroked her hair.
Emerald smiled lightly, tail wagging back and forth slowly. She still was a bit mad that Daria didn't remember, but the fact that she may get a new bike out of the deal made her relent. "Okay...we could just celebrate them when we get back to the mansion." Emerald suggested, tail wagging faster.
Emerald sat for a a little while longer with Mike, trying to relax and recuperate as best as she could. Suddenly the wolf girl caught a scent approaching the door and it was not a pleasant scent. The Lupine tensened immediatly, she attempted ot make herself as flat as possible. A tiny whimper escaped her throat as she frantically tried to pull the chain apart in order to get herself free.
"Mike, Bloodfang is comming, you have to go or he will try to attack you!" The wolf girl exclaimed frantically.
"Remember, Emmy, I'm not really here. You're the only one who can see me... unless I want someone else to see me," he said quietly. "Now... sit back against the wall. It takes a lot of power from so far away to hold you up... and I need to work." As soon as the wolf girl sat up, he stood, a determined look on his face. "Because this son of a bitch isn't going to touch you again tonight. And if we're lucky, he won't be very eager to touch you again."
His form started to shimmer as he prepared for Bloodfang's entry. "Just rest, Emmy... it's my turn to be strong."
Emerald Lupin's eyes widened a bit at Mike's determination to get a Bloodfang. She had never seen him like this before and now she had a feeling that Bloodfang may stay away from her after this.
Bloodfang opened the door to the room and saw shimmering lights, her snarled.
