The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Outside the window of the upper story apartment, a blond haired mutant was settling in for the evening. After a shower, with her hair just starting to dry in slightly wavy locks across her shoulders, and sat on the couch in her living room and stretched her legs out on the coffee table. Outside the window, there was only the faint glimmer of stars, as the new moon had left the sky devoid of it's lunar light. This time of the moon cycle made her feel exhausted, and she closed her eyes and rested her head on the back of the couch with a sigh.
Around her neck was part of her Christmas gift; a necklace with a crescent moon shape on the end, fitting for her moon-powered nature. She fiddled with it in her hand, and thought to herself about the last month or so of her stay in New York. It felt like everyday had a new experience; a new person, a new problem. She'd been attacked by people, attacked people; got a best friend, and helped a young girl find a new home at the Mansion. She tested her strength against cops and mutants alike, and managed to wiggle out of everything with little bodily harm. But things still didn't feel quite right. It could be that she was sitting at home alone, in a house with no television, no computer, and nothing but her supplies of CD's to really entertain her. She should have at least stole a radio or something before the moon phases changed; but it was too risky now to try doing anything like that.
Next door, she heard the faint mewing of cats, and smirked to herself as she thought of the furry faces the cat lady kept in there. On occasion, she'd helped the old lady out, by feeding her pets while she was away. She liked the smallest one that walked with a bit of a limp. The other cats picked on him sometimes, but she always looked out for it. She had a little soft spot for the creature; with it's white fur and dark black patches over it's eye. She'd like the old lady too, if she hadn't borrowed her laptop and got it stolen. If she had taken care of it, Tses would have something to do right now.
Perhaps it was the silence of the room and her lack of activity that first alerted her something was wrong. She heard footsteps coming up the stairs, ever so quietly, but with the echo filled hallways, it was hard to mask the unmistakable sound of combat boots. Tses froze, and sat up slowly, placing both her bare feet on the ground. She was unprepared, in jeans and a t-shirt, without so much as her knife strapped to her leg. Her heart started to pound, and she tried to convince herself she was just imagining things. She looked down on the coffee table, and a tiny stuffed tiger with obnoxiously big eyes stared back at her. For a second, she thought it looked scared too.
There was a knock on the door, and a gruff voice spoke out, "This is the MRC, come out with your hands up."
The MRC.... Mutant Related Crimes units. Tses slowly rose to her feet, but didn't move towards the door. She inched her way instead over to her bow staff where it was lying on the wall, trying to stay calm.
"I'd like to know what you're here for before I roll out my welcome mat." She found herself saying, closing her hands around the slick metal. She longed for her arm wraps right about now. It would be harder to grip the staff like this.
"He have reports that an energy wielding mutant lives at this residence; we have you on two counts of murder two weeks ago in an attempted police arrest; as well as assault on police and canine units, and destruction of public property; there are also counts of violence against civilians, petty theft and several larger burglaries. I'm going to ask you one last time to come quietly, or we will be forced to take appropriate action." He read the claims calmly, and Tses frowned, listening to his claims.
"I didn't kill anyone. There was a fight, and whatever property damage there was came from self defense; the other mutant killed those officers."
"We have no report of a second mutant, simply one figure with green glowing hands witnesses identified, and connected with the later incidents. Now, come out with your hands up!"
"I may be a thief, but I'm no murderer. I'm not going down for something I didn't do!"
The door flew inward, and Tses jumped out of the way to avoid a tasser gun fired at her. She swung her bow staff hard into the legs of the nearest two officers, and then crashed to the ground as she spun and kicked a third hard between the legs. Their figures grunted with pain, but she was too afraid to care. One reached for his gun and she hit him hard across the forearm, knocking it to the ground before he could take the safety off. She pulled her remaining power stores to the surface, and let the energy lace her arms to look more intimidating. She snarled, yelling for the officers to back off, but one managed to retrieve his nightstick and slam it into her shin. She screamed in pain and recoiled backwards, and that was all it took.
A gun fired, shattering the window behind her, and Tses bolted towards the only sign of escape she saw. They screamed for her to stop, but she didn't hear any of it. She was a cornered animal, and she was going to do what it took to keep her freedom.
Everything happened in slow motion. She reached the window, glass slicing her feet from the debris in front of it. Then another shot rang out, and pain exploded in her shoulder. She cried out and fell short of her fire escape, and turned towards the officer, pure murderous rage in her eyes. She swung her staff at the head of one officer, and he took the blow across the face, yelling in pain as the crack it gave hitting his cheek. Then it was ripped from her hands, and she watched as the metal came crashing down to her back, flattening her into the ground and the glass. She screamed again as the glass cut her arms, and then metal hit her skull, and darkness took over....
* * * * *
The officers slowly approached the unconscious mutant, some limping in pain and some cussing under their breathe. In the confined area, they fared better than expected, especially with the level of violence they believed the girl had. Lifting her form from the ground took care, with several pieces of glass still impeded in her skin, and they snapped an inhibitor collar around her neck.
"We'll have to take her in for medical treatment before she can go to trial." One of them sighed, and grumbled irritably. The lower ranking officers nodded, and helped carry the figure out of the room. Blood drizzled behind them, and from a small crack in the door next door the old cat lady watched Tses get carried away. Kittens mewed unhappily at her feet, and she shut the door, horrified by what she just heard.
Meanwhile, in the apartment, the coffee table laid overturned, and the small stuffed tiger was in the middle of the floor, it's large eyes sadly taking in everything around it.

Ty's mind wandered over the past month or so as he walked, hands stuffed in his jacket pockets, as usual. But tonight, he was deep in thought. In that short amount of time, he'd learned that he was a mutant, not going crazy. He'd made a few new friends, gotten into more trouble than he could imagine, and he met...her. The most confusing yet attractive girl he'd ever met. His best friend. The only one he'd opened up all the way to.
She'd told him he wouldn't see her out much because of the New Moon. At first, he figured he'd live, but then it hit him that a week....man that was a long time. Besides, with what was going on with the news and current events, it certainly was an unsettling feeling, wasn't it? But then, he found a loophole. She wouldn't be OUT. That didn't mean he couldn't come visit her inside, right?
So, he made his way to her apartment, whistling a happy little tune. But that faded when he reached apartment 66. Her door was wide open, and his jaw dropped, his heart seeming to stop at what he saw. The apartment was a wreck. The coffee table was flipped, and the window was broken. Stepping inside, he first went to the window. ...There wasn't much, but...blood was blood.
"Oh God...no..." He paled, then called. "....Tses?" No answer. His mind was thrown into panic mode as the words he'd told her Christmas night bounced in his head. I have no idea what I would do if I lost you...I can't picture it...I'll be damned if I let anyone take you away from me...
But from the looks of it, someone did. Then...he saw it. On the floor. Her Christmas present: the tiger. Then he remembered how she'd set it on the table, almost like a guardian. It was time to see what kind of a guardian it was. Snatching the gloves off, he grabbed the tiger. Nothing.
He put the table back upright, set the tiger down, then grabbed it again. Nothing. "Of all the times for my power to decide it DOESN'T want to randomly work..." he grumbled, repeating the putting down and picking it back up.
"Come on, little guy...talk to me," he pleaded with the stuffed animal. "Tell me what happened here." Nothing. "Come on!" After awhile he was getting frustrated. "Damn it! What happened here!?! Where is she?!? Please be okay, Tses...please be okay..." He buried his face in his palms, sobbing as he tried to gather his mind. Maybe that would help, right?
In room 65, there lived a cat lady. Most people in the apartment treated her like a crazy old coot, but she didn't mind, and kept to herself. She had a t.v. in her living room, and a wide array of cats she cared for like her own children. She knew every cat by name, and spent most of her time with these cherished pets. But there were times she had to leave them, to get food or go to the doctors. And during those times she would often ask the young lady next door to watch the animals for her. She was a sour girl, no doubt about that. But the elderly woman was often reminded of her own childhood when she spent time with the young adult. So when she heard the commotion next door, fear filled her heart for her young friend, and kitten in hand, she had crept to the door and watched from a small sliver of light as police officers carried the teen away.
In all her years, she hadn't seen such a sight. The girl was bloodied and unconscious, blond hair mingled with bits of red, and her already scared arms cut and littered with glass. The officers she saw pass had badges labeled with MRC, and her heart stopped. Her young neighbor was a mutant. Perhaps that explained her prickly nature towards others.
For the first little bit, she was too afraid to leave her apartment. She paced back and forth, with cats mewing at her heals, and tried to decide what to do. She couldn't get involved, not with the anti mutant hysteria. But she couldn't just leave the girl alone in the hands of the police.
"Oh David, dearie, what do you think?" She asked the yellow tom cat in her arms. He just purred and closed his eyes, ears flicking unhappily when she kept pacing, her shaky walk jostling him. "David, we must do something to help Tessa. She was hurt, and we have to make sure she's all right." The cat said nothing, but in her mind, she was sure he agreed with her. She was also sure he tried to correct her that the young girls name was Tses.
From next door, she heard footsteps, and she momentarily worried the attackers were returning. Then she heard a young male's voice, and a quiet cry of anguish. Nervously, she moved to the apartment door, and stepped out into the hallway. With a soft shuffle of feet, she walked the distance next door, tom cat in her hands, and a few kittens trailing at her feet.
The sight was worse than she imagined, with blood littering the floor and glass scattered from the window. She watched as the young boy yelled at the stuffed tiger for answers, and she smiled softly. Poor dear. He thought the tiger could give him answers.
"I've come to find the stuffed animals do not talk back, dear." She said in a soft awfully sweet voice, and she pet the cat in her arms. She had a distant sort of look on her face as she shuffled, watching him.

Ty jumped, looking up at the old lady who walked in. "Maybe they don't, but I have ways of getting answers from them. Though it doesn't seem to work when I actually need it to..." He sighed, but decided to count that little bit as cutting the crap and getting to the point that he was a mutant.
"Something bad went down here. I can see what the tiger saw...I'm just...having trouble." Sighing, he grabbed it again, but wasn't really thinking about it. Then...it flashed before his eyes. The entire struggle, from the cat's point of view, of course there were things he couldn't pick up, like the window. But he did see her being dragged out of the building.
His face paled as the headache came on. "I hate to be rude, but do you know how much I missed the cops by? I know they were here, and they took her, but I have no way of knowing when." He rubbed his head. "Or maybe they're still at the hospital. If not, I'll be back. I don't mean to be rude, but I gotta protect my girlfriend."
With that, he rushed out the door, nearly tripping over himself but recovering quickly. He didn't even realize what he'd said.
The old lady watched as he messed with the stuffed animal, and talked about getting information from it. She just nodded her little head and pet her cat on the head. When he asked about the cops, she replied softly, but doubted he heard as he ran out the door.
"Perhaps an hour ago dearie. I hope you find him. David hopes you find her too!" She watched him leave and sighed, turning back to her room and muttering to herself."Mutants... such nice kids."
* * * * *
Meanwhile...
The trip to the hospital was quick and uneventful. The cops admitted their mutant captive to secluded area of the building, and stationed a guard outside as she was treated. She had glass in her feet and arms that had to be removed, and stitches would be needed on a handful of those cuts, as well as a head wound and a mild fractured shin. But her shoulder was the part that required the most attention.
For the most part, she got lucky. The bullet missed major bones and arteries, the shot from floor level skimmed the shoulder blade and exited before the clavicle. But lucky did not mean she was uninjured. The muscles were badly torn and required attention, and the medical work took a few hours to perform. The attendees made sure to keep the mutant heavily sedated, even with the inhibitor collar. From their experience, mutants could still cause damage even when contained.
Before long, Tses was admitted to a recovery room, and strapped down to a gurney bed. Her arms were heavily bandaged, as was her shoulders, but there was conflicting image of care and containment. Alongside the iv's and monitors there were cuffs and bindings, and the inhibitor collar seemed awkward on her slim neck. Meanwhile, the cops paced outside the door and grumbled under their breath.
"Damn mutant busted Jeffery's jaw up good. They better hope they keep her under...." One cop sighed, and thanked an orderly who brought him a cup of coffee. "I'll feel better when we get this one locked up and out of our hair and off the streets."
The second cop nodded, and leaned back in his chair. "Sometimes these mutants exhaust me. Every I say 'put your hands up' I don't even wait before ducking now, before something blows up in your face. Maybe I'll just borrow a Richard Dean Andersen line: 'You know that whole we come in peace business? Bite me'"
The two men laughed and glanced back in the room for any sign of movement. For now the drugs were keeping her under.
"Think she did it?" The coffee cop asked, shifting his cup in his hand, referring to the recent deaths.
"She seemed dangerous enough, but she said someone else was there. I've seen some crazy shit while being in this unit, and I wouldn't put that past plausibility." He shrugged, and stood, stretching. "Anyway, there's another incident downtown they're calling me into. Ian should be here later to give you a hand, but we've instructed the attendees to keep her under. Shouldn't be any more trouble." The coffee cop nodded, and set his cup down before shaking his coworkers hand.
"Don't worry, I can handle it here. Just watch your back out there, alright?"
As the cops split ways, he glanced at the slim form of the blonde haired mutant and sighed, sinking back into his seat. It was going to be a boring night...

Ty's mind raced as he ran to the hospital. Right now, he had no plan, no means of saving her. All he needed was to know she was alright. She had to be alright...she just had to. After he got his bearings, then he'd have to figure something out. He pulled his gloves back over his hands as he navigated the dark streets as usual, only this time, with purpose.
One word he'd said bounced through his head. Girlfriend. Oh she'd probably have killed him if she heard that. Not that he cared right now. All he cared about was her safety. The hospital came into view, and he saw at least one squad-car parked outside. Hands shoved in his pockets, he passed a cop who was heading out as Ty headed in, to the Emergency Room's registration desk.
"I need to see a girl named Tses. She was probably admitted close to an hour ago."
The skinny gray-haired woman looked down her long nose through her coke-bottle glasses at him. "Got a last name, Hun?" she asked, a rude tone to her voice. ...He didn't. Here he was, madly in love with someone...and he didn't even know her last name.
"No, I don't. She's a young blond, her name is spelled different. T.S.E.S. Look for me, please?" His voice was worried, yet frantic.
The woman sighed. "Yes. There is someone here like that. Mutant..." she hissed the word mutant. "But she can't have anyone see her. She's in a recovery room and--"
"All I need to know," Ty said as he looked to the door leading to the back, where they had recovery rooms. "The door's locked from the outside," she informed him. "You can't go back there."
"Watch me."
At that moment, the door opened as a guy was leaving that very corridor. Ty bolted for it, but stopped in the doorway. Just around the corner, he saw her, strapped to a gurney. Cop posted guard, watching over her sedated form. His heart ripped in two as he turned to leave the hospital.
Once outside, he sat on the sidewalk in front of the large building. "Oh man...." he muttered. "I'm in over my head here...it's going to take an army to get her out of there...." he muttered, dropping his head, his red hair flowing down over his face as tears stained his cheeks.
Sitting in his folding chair, the cop checked the time on his clock... The ER had grown busy, and the orderly he had to keep this girl sedated hadn't shown up yet. He tapped his foot impatient, not eager to deal with the newly woken up and captive give, and was about to call for someone when a slim figure appeared around the corner with syringe in hand, and nodded to the officer. The cop let him pass, but in the doorway the young kid paused, frozen by the sight of the heavily restrained female.
"Is she... dangerous?" He squeaked, eying the collar on her neck. The cop nodded at him, motioning for the teen to advance.
"That'd be why you're sedating her, son."
"I've never done this before, sir. I'm not sure I can." His face when white and his hands started the shake, and the officer cursed under his breathe.
"Come on, if she wakes up, it's going to be worse." He reached out for the object, but the kid just kept backing away, shaking his head.
"But, I'm not... I ... I can't... I'm going to throw up." The teen staggered out of the room, taking the medication with him and the officer called for him to come back. But the figure quickly disappeared to the boys room, and the coffee cop froze when he heard movement in the room behind him. The girl was waking up.
* * * * *
Voices.... There were voices echoing around her, and a smell of unnaturally clean walls and tiles filled her nostrils. Footsteps echoes through her mind, and a dull pounding filled her head. It was like wading through deep water trying to come back to consciousness, as every limb sent groggy signals along her body. There was pain, lots of pain coming from her shoulder and her arms, and tiny tingles drifted up from her leg. Then, more subdued, she felt something holding her down, and stopping her movement.
Tses's eyes flickered open, and the first thing she saw was a plain ceiling with perfectly unblemished complexion. She tried to hove her head, and in the distance, she thought she heard a familiar voice. But it wasn't coming closer, and it quickly got muffled as a door slammed shut. Panic started to rise as she took in her surroundings, and the IV drip sent a slow but steady fear gripping to her heart.
"Let me go..." Her voice sounded like a mouse, and it shoke with the fear she was trying to keep from building. Her eyes caught sight of the officer standing just inside the room, his polished outfit of blue with iron pressed pants the only thing she had to focus on. "It wasn't me, just let me go!" Tears rolled down from her eyes, and she tried to tug against the bindings. They didn't move an inch.
"Settle down. We've both already had enough trouble, and we don't need you causing more."
Tses shook her head and the monitors showed her rapid pulse rise spiking with her distress. The officer, tried glancing for a passing nurse to help, but most of them were called in to another section of the hospital to deal with victims from a car crash. Meanwhile, Tses was starting to panic, terrified of hospitals and definitely terrified being held down to a bed in one. Her first groggy thoughts were to try and get free, then her next ones... were for Ty. Out of everyone, the red headed pain in butt was the one who made her feel safe, made her feel like things would be ok... She needed him here; she couldn't do this alone.
"I want to see Ty..... red headed kid, skinny, puppy dog face...Please, can I see him? I'm sure he'll find me here, I juse want to see him." She tried to face the officer, and he growled slightly with the suggestion.
"Why do you want your punk ass friend in here? We don't need more trouble..."
"He's not a friend, he's my boyfriend..." Tses blurted out, and she was too scared to be embarrassed. Her heart rate kept rising. "Let me see him, and I'll cooperate. Please...IF you don't, I swear I'm going to start screaming bloody murder anytime your dumb sedation starts wearing off, and I will be the biggest pain in your ass you could ever imagine. Just.... make this easier on both of us...." She tried to act tough, but she was crying and shaking. From the officer's point of view, she looked less like the dangerous mutant they were trying to take in for possible murder, and more like a terrified girl who was scared and alone, and needed someone to be there. He wasn't heartless... he had kids of his own. Maybe it was a little against protocol, but if the 'boyfriend' could keep her calm, it was worth the risk.
He didn't say anything just slowly walked to the hallway, and managed to wave a passing nurse over. Sure, now they were walking by... "Tell the receptionist if a red-headed kid named Ty comes by to go ahead and let him come back." As she walked away, he made sure he had his tasser in easy reach. This could go downhill quickly if they tried anything.
The nurse made her way to the front, and notified the receptionist what the cop had said. The receptionist them pointed out the front doors, where a figure was sitting on the steps, and she scowled. Shrugging, the nurse pushed open the doors, and coughed a little to get the boys attention. "Are you Ty? I was told they're letting you go back to see your girlfriend.... she asked for you." The nurse instructed, and held open the door to see if he would come.

Ty was sitting there, chin resting on his fists, elbows resting on his knees as he assessed his situation. No matter how he took it, there was no way he could do this by himself. It crossed his mind to steal a cop uniform, or some scrubs and a surgical mask, then turn her bed into a battering ram, destroying everything in his path, but....no. That had more holes in it than a five year old piece of Swiss cheese...
He could always--
The sound of a cough, followed by his name brought him out of it. ...Girlfriend? Asked for him? He didn't ask questions, he just took it as it was. Every tear dried, and a small smile crept to his face as he stood up and walked through the doors. "Yeah...I'm Ty. How...how is she?" he asked, his mind still running through possible plans to help bust her out. But at least he'd get to see her.
The nurse gave a little shrug, and led the way back inside. "Stable... well, physically for now. Hopefully having someone familiar will keep things calm." The girl didn't say much more, and used her badge to open the doors to the back rooms. Within a few steps, they reached the room where Tses was held, and the nurse nodded to the cop, passing the boy off and going back to her duties.
The cop crossed his arms and sized up the kid for a second. Red hair, puppy dog face; yup, seemed to match. He didn't look much like a fighter, at least not like the girl just inside the room. He had the door shut slightly so she wasn't visible right away, but his voice was stern as he spoke. "You can see her, but if you try anything, you better realize your putting her at risk. The only reason I'm doing this is because the last thing I need right now is an out of control mutant on my hands. If you make things worse, I'll kick you out. Simple as that." He glared down at the boy, then pushed the door open, letting him in. But not without one last warning glance, while he set up his chair and coffee, and observed from the hallway.
* * * * *
Inside the room, Tses laid for what felt like hours after the cop left. Her pulse kept rising, and she kept her eyes squinted tightly closed, trying to block out everything around her. This wasn't happening, this wasn't happening. She couldn't be here, she couldn't be caught. She stole worse than a few earrings or stacks of bills in her time, and to get arrested now, when things were finally working out... it couldn't be happening.
Outside the room, she heard voices speaking, and she tried to listen but her head was still swimming. Her hands clenched and unclenched on the bed sheets, and when the door creaked open, she finally let herself turn, and started to cry unwillingly. "Ty?" She whispered.

"That's good, at least," Ty replied, letting out a sigh of relief. Then, he tried his hardest to keep a normal face at the cop, but his eyebrows threatened to drop into a scowl. He kept decent composure for the most part, but there was an intensity hiding behind those icy blue eyes.
"Yes, sir." Was all Ty said, as respectfully as possible, but mentally he was telling the cop exactly where he could go and what he could do when he got there. But he did his best to stay calm, appearing a decent young man. Getting to speak to Tses was worth everything in the world right now.
Walking by the cop, Ty slowly opened the door, stepping inside. He felt a tear roll down his face, then another, his eyes stinging as he pulled up a chair and sat by her bedside. Pulling off his right glove, he took her hand in his, so she could feel his warm skin, hoping it'd be more of a comfort to her than just the glove.
Wiping his eyes, he looked down at her. "It's gonna be okay," he whispered. "I'm here now." His face had softened, but he had an intense hatred in his heart for that cop.
Tses tried to pull herself together, but when he took her her hand she clung to it as tightly as she could, shutter her eyes and trying to stop the tears. She hated crying in front of him, but she was terrified, and her hand kept shaking unwillingly. In her head, everything kept spinning, and she felt weak from the drugs keeping her at bay still. She tugged weakly against the strap on her arm, but it's grasp was inescapable.
"I didn't do it, Ty... They kept saying I killed these cops, and I didn't, I swear... If they just were taking me in for stealing ok, I deserve that but... I don't want to be here, I just want to go home..." Her voice shook and she opened her eyes looking at him desperately. Her face had tear stains, but she couldn't wipe them away. He said it would be ok, but she didn't know how. What if they put her in jail, what if she never saw Ty again. All because she got in a fist fight with the wrong person.

"I know you didn't," he whispered, brushing the tears from her eyes. "I believe you." He dropped his voice even lower. "If it was up to me, you wouldn't be here...and we would be at home now...I saw everything," he said, the last part randomly. "I'm here now," he said, still whispering. "And I'm not leaving you."
His eyes locked on hers, and he brushed her hair out of her face. "I promise...I'm not going anywhere."
As he spoke, his voice calmed her, and she stopped tugging against the straps on her arms. She felt exhausted, and even with the sedative wearing off a bit, she didn't get her energy back. Her arms stung and her back was beginning to hurt. But she didn't want anything to put her back under again... She didn't want to be alone.
She gazed back at him, and searched his eyes for anything to reassure her. There was a lot there; a bit of fear, lots of anger, and affection. Over his shoulder, she could see the cop move in his chair. She felt a spark of hatred for the uniformed person, but glancing back at Ty she felt a wave of appreciation for her friend... boyfriend... She didn't know what he was. She took a deep breath, finally getting her tears under control, and glanced up at the ceiling before looking back at him. She forced the tiniest little smile when he said he saw the whole thing.
"Did you have an interview with my guard tiger?" She whispered, and chuckled then flinched at the pain it caused. She was trying to be brave, but then she saw the IV next to her and the color rushed out of her face. She wanted to puke... "There has to be a way to get out of this..." She whispered, and clasped his hand a little bit tighter.

Ty smiled softly, though it was partly forced, considering the circumstances. "Yeah I did," he whispered. "Though it was more like an interrogation. Figures my power wouldn't work when I'm trying to use it, right?" He gave a dry chuckle, squeezing her hand.
"I'm working on it, Sweetheart," he said softly. "Right now I'm just glad you're okay," he said, eyes softening again. He stroked her hand with his thumb. "Gave me quite the scare, you know...stupid cops..."
Tses made a little face at him, and in her slightly dazed sedation, she imagined Ty's 'interrogation' of the stuffed animal. It's beady glass eyes stared at him innocently, as it sat crouched under the powerful interrogation light. Above him, the worried teen paced, red hair glimmering into the shadows. "Where is she!" The figure asked, but the tiny stuffed animal just stared emptily back. If he had a squeaker, maybe he could give a response, but alas, all he had was stuffing and a tightly stitched mouth, never to reveal his secrets again. But wait, what was happening? The teen removed his glove and reached for his fury face, and every thought in his tiny stuffing filled head rushed out in a blur of furry adorable color.
Tses giggled. It was the most girlly giggle she ever made, but it slipped from her mouth before she could stop it, and under the present circumstances, she felt she should be excused from such a feminine action. She shook her head slowly, causing her head to throb a bit, but couldn't hide the tiny smile. "So long as you didn't harm him, I am glad you successfully interrogated my tiger, Fish. I might have a soft spot for the little guy."
She grimaced as he talked about trying to get her out, and distantly a part of her recoiled at the word 'sweetheart'. But she was groggy enough not to comment on it. Especially when he said it gave him quite a scare.
"Gave you a scare..." Tses murmured, her hands shaking again. "I've.... I've never felt scared like this before.... I just felt cornered, helpless... There's never been a situation I couldn't fight my way out of. I don't know how to deal with this. It's like being in a cage, worse than a cage. Gaw... I can't even rub my head to make a headache go away...."
