The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

>>"But the good news is, I can help you with that. It's what I do. If you have ideas of where you would like to apply next year, I can help you get the paperwork together, and catch up on what you'll need for admission. If you look on the bright side, you also get a year to get ready, and pick up some extracurriculars that improve your chances..."
Bailey brightened a little bit. He hadn't considered the fact that he had the year off to plan. He had an entire year to figure out what he was going to do and to bring up his marks. Man, with an entire year, he could do just about anything! Why on earth was he looking to tie himself down if that was the case?
The teen wiggled in his chair, trying to think of all the things that he could do with his year off. He could travel! See the world! Gain some experience! Man, he could do just about anything!
He did, however, recognize that he probably needed to go back to school so that his year off didn't turn into a lifetime off. It didn't necessarily sound bad, but it didn't sound all that smart.
"Do high schools let you go back to raise your marks and stuff? I don't think I ever thought about that," he inquired. It was probably his favourite option out of the bunch, but he didn't know whether or not it was feasible.

Armani bluchers sounded on tile floors as Beau entered one of the largest office buildings in that particular stretch of Manhattan. He removed his Gucci sunglasses and clasped him in the v-neck of his shirt. As his eyes adjusted, he took in the various sights of the building.
People rushed past him, a few stopping to do a double take. Most of them had places to be or bosses to appease and didn't bother to take their time walking. It was a busy building, and everyone had a purpose. Luckily for Beau, so did he.
He moved through the building, flashing a visitor's card at the man in front of the elevators, and made his way to one of the very top levels. The elevator opened and dropped him off in an office that seemed somehow even nicer than the lower levels, if that was even possible. It was small, but extravagant and modern. It was somehow minimalistic and detailed all at the same time. It looked like a space for Miranda Streep.
The carpet absorbed the noise, a stark difference from the tile in the lobby, as he made his way over to the receptionist's desk and leaned over the side a little. He flashed a dazzling smile at the person across from him and dangled his visitor's badge over the edge.
"Beau Bishop for Miranda Streep? I have an appointment," he explained. His manager had booked it for him after his last stylist had retired. She was supposed to be the best of the best, which meant Beau had to have her.
He wanted his clothes to look as good as he knew he did, and Miranda Streep would be the person who could ensure that would happen.

They walked along the streets of New York, the city that never slept, in the direction of Bailey's house. Despite the absurd hour, there were still plenty of other people out on the street, though they weren't always the most friendly. Cars zoomed past them, driving, as New Yorkers did, like they had somewhere very important to be any minute.
"Four brothers, but only two are living with me and my dad right now. My other two live with my mom back in Canada," he shrugged. Sometimes he liked his brothers, and sometimes he really didn't, but if there was one thing that space could do, it was make you miss someone. He really did miss the other half of his family, not matter how much he tried to deny it.
He nodded, glad that they could stay out late and not have anyone freak out. Helicopter parents were kinda the worst. "I guess your parents must be pretty used to it now, huh?" He mused.
>> “You’re not still planning on kidnapping me and keeping me locked away, are you?”
Bailey froze where he was. "Aw man, am I still giving off that vibe? I really don't mean to. I have no intention to kidnap you - scout's honour."
They were just a block or two from Bailey's apartment. It really was very close to the ice cream shop.

Bailey frowned and leaned back in his chair. A lot of work. That sounded like a lot of boring. He didn't really like doing work, and he definitely didn't like doing a lot of it.
But, the more he sat there thinking about it, he realized that he already did work at the ice cream store, and most of it wasn't all that fun. If he didn't ever do anything else, then he'd be stuck doing that work forever. That didn't sound great either. He was kind of short on options.
"Okay, but I didn't apply for any schools, so I think I missed the deadline, and I don't have anything to do next year. What if I wanted to be something like... a cop, or an electrician, or something? You don't have to go to school for that, do you? What could I do then?"
He leaned a bit forward and rested his newly emptied mug on the arm of his chair, being careful not knock it off. "Also, do schools tend to look at your math mark? Or chemistry? I think I failed both of those," he explained sheepishly. He hadn't really understood either of them, so he'd just kind of checked out.

History Of Your Character
Beau was born as Bailey to a good sized family from a mid-sized town in Canada. Growing up as the middle of five boys, he tended to get pushed to the sidelines as far as attention went from his family. So, naturally, his personality formed around trying to get attention from those around him. However, that didn’t really happen until the eleventh grade.
Bailey’s parents were both actors, which had initially caused him to be wary of the trade as a whole. However, he was sought out by the drama teacher for a lead role in the school play, and after that, there was no getting him to stop.
Bailey became addicted to the feeling of having all eyes on him while he was on stage, and that came afterward when the audience clapped for him. He knew that he wanted nothing else in life except to be an actor, and began to put all his energy toward becoming one. He went to summer camps, acting classes, dance classes, and vocal lesson, and before long, there was no denying that he had become excellent at the trade as a whole.
After graduating high school, Bailey took up the name “Beau”, and attended Juilliard for drama. When he graduated, he landed roles in broadway shows, and finally moved on to film acting. Since then, his celebrity status has only grown, and he’s basked in the fame.

>>"You mean, examples of jobs that like to hire adapteds?... I know the TSA is one of them."
Bailey frowned. That didn't really sound like something that was up his alley. He knew that the TSA did security things and such, and that seemed like it would be a lot of work. And it would probably require lots of attention. Bailey just wasn't all that good at things like that. He was, however, decent enough at recognizing his own faults.
What Ms. Taylor said next was a little more of what he had been looking for in their meeting. She could help him out! She could give him advice! Plus, maybe, just maybe, if he asked the right questions, she could make his decision easier.
"But, like, that's the thing. I don't really know what I'm interested in. I'm good at a couple things, I guess, but I don't think any of them are that great for getting jobs, you know? Like, I can do music, but you can't get a job with a music degree, and I don't wanna end up like my parents."

"Awesome, perfect, great," Bailey said, unable to stop all the words that tumbled from his mouth at once. His eyes widened slightly and then he looked at his feet. Man, he had been doing so well before. "Sorry. That was way too many words. I think I'm just excited. You're... like... really cool."
Awkwardly, Bailey opened the door and stepped outside. He held the door open for Victoria to walk through afterward, hoping that it might make up for his weirdness. "Oh yeah, it'll be fine. If we don't wake up my brothers, then no one will care."
Of course, not waking up his brothers would likely be easier said than done in their little apartment with minimal soundproofing, but he didn't mention that to her. "No one's expecting you home, right? I mean, I know you go out a lot at night, so it's probably a no?"
After she'd followed him outside, Bailey closed the door and locked the store back up with his key. It was a little cold outside, but nothing too horrible. In fact, it was a little unseasonably warm, if nothing else. "It's just a few blocks down this way," he told her, pointing to his right.

"I might just do that," Bailey decided. He'd spent money on that candy. Lots of money. He wasn't about to just let all of that go to waste! That would just be stupid. No, he was going to get his candy. "Stay here, yeah? Wouldn't want you to get kicked out because a' me or anything."
With that, Bailey raced off in the direction of the auditorium they'd just left. He didn't bother to look behind him to see whether Emily was following him or not. He moved quickly, trying to keep from disturbing people for too long.
The auditorium doors swung open and the teen raced inside, doing his best to minimize the sound of his footsteps on the floor. He moved up the stairs, feeling the heat of people's eyes on him as he disrupted their movie yet again.
As quickly as he could, he gathered up his snacks and tried to move back out of the auditorium.
"I thought I told you to get out of here?" A shrill voice yelled at him.
"Yeah, yeah, I'm leaving," he mumbled and ran back down the stairs. Within a few minutes, he was back, standing next to Emily and catching his breath. His arms were filled with the candy he'd bought before the movie.
"Want some?" He asked her, leaning down a little bit so she could grab some of the candy in her arms.

“Oh,” Bailey frowned slightly at her response. He really had been hoping for something concrete and specific to him, but it didn’t seem like that was going to be the case. He shuffled a bit in his chair and considered what to ask next as he took another sip of his drink.
“But, like, is there something… I dunno, that I would be more suited for because of it?” He inquired slowly. He knew that she had probably just told him all that she knew about it (and all that there was to be said), but it still felt like it was worth a shot. “It’s just that…” He trailed off.
“You’re a guidance counsellor, right? So you probably get lots and lots of kids in here asking what do with their lives, right? See, that’s what I just don’t know. I dunno what to do with my life. I didn’t apply for any kind of school or anything, and I don’t know what else to do. My dad keeps telling me to go into theatre or something like he did, but I don’t think I really wanna do that.”
He sighed and sat back in his chair again after getting that off his chest. He hadn’t really talk to anyone about what he was thinking, really. He’d just sort of expected that it would eventually fix itself, but that had been starting to look less and less like it would be the case.

>>"Come on, lets get out of here."
Bailey nodded and allowed himself to be pulled from his chair. He didn’t want to be chased after by some sort of authority, or worse - arrested! That couldn’t happen, could it? Probably not… he hoped…
With Emily pulling him the whole way, the two teens exited the auditorium, and by extension, the movie. He looked down at the ground carefully as he was forced to take the stairs at an extreme rate, nearly tripping over his own feet at least twice.
Soon enough, they were back in the lobby. Emily’s hand was still in Bailey’s. Was she… holding his hand? Was it on purpose, or had she just neglected to let go? The whole situation was reminiscent of his time with Elke. He could even feel his hands getting sweaty in the same way.
“So what now? Do we just leave? I forgot all my candy in there,” Bailey frowned slightly, rubbing the back of his neck as he thought of all that wasted sugar. At least he hadn’t been enjoying the movie.

"Oh," Bailey nodded. He had been off the mark, then. She wasn't a total shut in, and she did have things going for her. Not really things that appealed to him, sure, but things nonetheless. "Sorry for thinking that you didn't."
What she was saying made sense. She helped people because she wanted to, not because she had to. She just did it so much that it seemed like she had to. Bailey was actually just a little bit proud that they were the same species. "But, like, if I didn't want to spend my whole life helping people like you do, then what could I do? Is there some kind of job for adapteds or something?" He asked her curiously. That question was asked for a few reasons. One of them was the same reason that he had initially come to see her, but one was slightly more broad.
Bailey didn't know what to do with his life. He was graduating high school in just a few months, and he hadn't bothered to apply to any kind of post secondary anything, and by then it was too late. He had considered going into some sort of trade, but he didn't really know how to go about doing that. Some part of him was hoping that she would tell him about some sort of amazing organization that would hire adapteds so he wouldn't have to keep worrying about any of that.

Bailey grinned at Victoria as she suggested more things to go along with the drawn out joke. Not a lot of people understood his sense of humour, or were willing to go as far with jokes as he was, but clearly he and Victoria were on the same wavelength. He couldn't help but think about how much he was enjoying talking to her. "I can already see the record deals. We'll be huge," Bailey opened his hand and gestured to the great beyond, "or, at least, we would be, if we had the necessary arms."
Bailey frowned, "a pool of my own blood? Yuck, no thanks." That didn't sound fun, so he was glad that it was not her intent.
Time. He did not own a watch. Too much of a hassle. He just used his phone instead. "Just a sec," he told her, and then pulled out his newly recovered device. Just past 1 am. How did it get that late? He supposed that time flew when you were having a good conversation.
"Just past one," he informed her as he moved toward the door. "You don't have to come if it's too late for you, but if you wanna keep talking, I'm all for it."

With his hand finally free, Bailey was able to wipe off the sweat that had accumulated on the surface, and then scratch the itch that he'd had for nearly the entire time. No wonder people were always talking about how great it was to be free.
Elke claimed that just giving him her number would be no fun, but Bailey definitely disagreed. He hadn't really enjoyed being tackled by one of her clones. Or watching her melt into pink goo. None of that was really an experience that he wanted to replicate.
Though, he realized, if he hung out with Elke often enough, then that was definitely something that could happen...
Distracted from his thoughts, Bailey took his phone back and held it in his newly dried hand. She'd given him her number under the name 'Moose'. He snickered slightly as he nodded at her explanation. It was kinda funny, given that her real name was Elke. "Alright, Moose. Well, it was nice to meet you and be tackled by your clones and all," he grinned and extended his hand for her to shake. He wasn't really sure why he was offering up his freshly reclaimed appendage to be taken into bondage again, but there he was.

Bailey chucked as he listened to some of the stories. Some of them were funny, but some of them worried him a little bit. It sounded like pretty much her whole life revolved around her adapted-ness. She helped people shower, sleep, and probably other things, too. Plus, there were a few people she had to avoid entirely. That didn't sound all that great. No wonder Mirror had been careful bringing him in.
More crazy memories that made Bailey grin filled the room. The woman had certainly seen her fair share of mutations gone right and gone wrong. It made sense, given the fact that she spent that much time around them.
Bailey couldn't help but wonder about a few things, though. He was a little worried about his own life, as well as hers. He hadn't known what exactly he'd wanted to hear, but he wasn't sure that it was everything that he was hearing. Despite the fact that it was exactly what he'd asked for.
"Does it ever... bother you that you have to do those things, though? That you have to watch that guy sleep, or help that girl shower, or worry about not making your friend blind? Does it ever feel like they take advantage of you? I mean, do you have a social life?" He knew that that last one was rude, but he asked anyway. It was actually something that he wanted to know. It sounded like most of her time would be taken up with doing those things, and he wanted to know what to avoid doing in his own life.
