The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Pix shook her head. That shiny streak boy really did like to change his mind a lot. She stood still with her arms crossed watching him fly around in that circle as all the crazyness around her just continued. Finally he returned “About time.” She mumbled. Not that she would follow him for his own good.
Pix let her bugs circle the camp, letting her control of them disappear when they were too far away. They’d follow their instincts now, and the pheromones on already stung guards. Pix entered the vehicle.
Pix had been circling Streak with her small army following. So yeah. A silver guy with a bunch of bugs flying around him, just might stick out in a crowd but that was the beauty of the moment. They were in the action where to look odd was the in thing. Poor simple humans.
"Where did she go?"
“The wolf girl” Pix shrugged. Thinking that Streak was speaking of Emerald and she shrugged those little dragonfly shoulders.
"Maybe she left already."
“Well, when you get there you can find out.” Pix stopped next to Streak’s right ear hovering. He really didn’t look good. There was nothing she could do for him yet, but there had to be medical equipment back at the tanks.
“Who?” Pix darted from next to Streak’s ear to right in front of his face before he began to fall. Obediently the large, prehistoric, dragonflies that had been carrying her equipment and her guns dropped it, and moved to hook their legs around Streak’s arms to lift him up. Others moved to under his back and like a buzzing stretcher, they struggled to support him. She was forced to return to her human state, to pick up the equipment as her little friends buzzed together to carry Streak with her to the Tanks. “Sorry Shiny but I don’t know Raina. I only know you’re interesting and I heard the signal to retreat.” Her cold gaze traveled across the crowd of fleeing mutants and chaos. “You’re lucky I find you interesting.” Most others, even mutants, she would simply abandon. So she began making her way to the tanks with Streak in tow.
There were guards suddenly charging them. Pix and Streak. She raised her hand, preparing to send something with a stinger and lots of juicy venom his way, when he dropped dead. Snipers. Nice. A smile creased across pix's features and she looked up at the sniper, giving him a little giggly grin and dainty finger wave.
(*Sighs.* The emotion through body langwage isn’t Pix’s thing. It’s Sara’s thing and if she wasn’t in other threads, I would have brought her in this one. *Shrugs* I’ll note it for another day.)
Pix stood still as she watched Emerald charge streak. A few of her moths took to the air around her shoulders but the majority of them obediently waited to be flung at their attacker’s face. She’d seen the shield out of the corner of her eye. So she was sure Streak could handle defending himself for a moment or two. Though the atmosphere with all of Pix’s insects had changed as every tiny eye had halted what ever they were doing and had turned to watch the wolf girl in her attack.
Petunia watched with a expressionless face, as Emerald changed her direction of attack, and instead killed another guard. Yeah. She could be fun later, Pix noted to herself, for later.
"What the hell did she say?"
“I have no idea.”
"Are you coming or just going to stand there.?"
“Coming.” Pix took to steps towards the door then morphed into the dragonfly she had entered as. The moths on her followed in a whorlwind behind her and she circled Streak’s head. The rest of her insect forces following and falling into line. “I’ll lead the way.”
Shortly after Petunia ad entered the room, another interesting mutant had as well. However he had chosen to get close to the snarling girl. Pix had learned ages ago, with her older, much taller brother, when it would be bad to get close physically.
Emerald, remember me, Streak from the mansion before all this happened?"
Pix noted the other two mutants’ names.
"Man you look about as bad as I feel. I've seen what that guy has done and I approve of what you did."
“Few wouldn’t.” Petunia replied from her corner. And if they did, those who disapproved would have to be dealt with. Streak was trying to talk some sense into the snarling girl, but she did nothing but start attacking him. Even if he first managed to block her, hold her arms, and keep her back.
"I'd never hurt you. And I'm pretty sure she wouldn't hurt you either. That's why were here. Trust me. Trust us."
It was true. Pix wasn’t interested in hurting Emerald. At least not at this moment. Though if she had to, she could stop her. Petunia prepared to do that should things go too far, What was it again that Hades had said her larger mosquito insects now administered that would subdue someone? She didn’t want to do that. That was a very last resort. She wanted Emerald’s trust and drugging or giving someone an illness on purpose wasn’t a way of doing that.
The snarling girl let fly a harsh looking kick towards streak, and Petunia didn’t see if he would block or not. She just reacted with the wave her hand, sending the 20 cat sized prehistoric dragonflies, that Hades had introduced her to, behind him to catch him should he be flying back. Or at least they would cushion his fall. Mean while the layers of moths along Petunia’s skin were getting thicker as she prepared, should things get worst.
“Didn’t your mom ever tell you that it wasn’t safe to play with the growling dogs and cats?” Pix asked Streak as she took a few steps forward. “You’re both already, so hurt.” For once in Pix’s life, her face wasn’t creased into a smile as she spoke. This was serious so it was time to act serious. Even if she felt a snicker inside.
Petunia turned to address Emerald now. Still keeping a respectable distance. “I can only imagine what this place has done to you, but before you completely loose it,” because emerald looked ready to explode, “perhaps think about those that are getting away. You are all getting away. Everyone. You made it this far and you’re still breathing, so take a breath and figure out what you’re going to do, because people are here to get you out and we are willingly risking out own skins just for you.”
(Pix is possibly the least likely character to truly calm someone, So I’m up to the challenge if you don’t mind.)
The thick smell of gooey, sticky, thick, curdling so it had a yummy crust smell of blood drew Pix faster than a moth to a flame, witch, in her case, was just as possible. The smell actually made her mouth feel dry when she was in the insect form. Her eyes shifted back and forth, to the job at hand, or to the snack? A snack would only take a second. Little bug stomachs only took in so much. A morsel that size would hardly be missed.
So Pix, in her dragonfly form made a quick V-line with her swarm of other insects following in an obedient whirl wind of wings that quickly found the wolf girl and the feast that she had laid out, Unknowing, just for pix’s army. Upon the sight pix’s little dragonfly body halted at the door, hovering and taking in the snarling girl, the men on the floor, the feast, the fun, and to possible use this snarling girl could be to such a goddess as Pix.
Obediently her minions, that were other Dragonflies the size of house cats set her equipment from Hades down, to rest with it. The rest of her minions, that comprised of large mosquitoes, horse flies, special Asian wasps that were a little smaller than the size of a human thumb. Settled over the snarling lady’s victim and they proceeded to consume their fill of the brute’s flesh, at the wolf girl’s feet. A few stragglers moved to the victims that were still living and bit down on them, in the process of administering the diseases, Hades had given her with them. Assorted moths of different sizes and colors, drifted throughout the room like specks of confetti that kept dancing as they fell due to unfelt winds.
Pix hovered as the lone insect at the door for a split second before darting forward, straight at the snarling ladies forehead. Within the blink of an eye, Pix grazed the girl’s cheek with a wing, licking a crusty area of dried blood. A motion from her that would hardly be felt by the wolf girl, though satisfying to a little bug’s stomach. Then darted back to the wall where she transformed to her more human looking form, only with giant dragonfly wings. The moths obediently flew back to her to cover her skin and provide the one they knew as Petunia with warmth. Also providing the task of keeping her from being indecent as they scurried to their places, to give pix what looked like a stylized dancers outfit made of moths.
“Well you’ve kept yourself busy, haven’t you.” Her large green eyes traveled back and forth as she adjusted to seeing things that in their proper proportions rather than from the angle of a flying Thumblina. “I like you. You’re interesting.” Petunia said as she continued to take in the ladies appearance. “and you’ve taken time to give back what I have no doubt they got from you. However unless you want to hurt yourself further, witch could happen anyways, I believe there are those who would like you to leave.”
The creases on Petunia’s cheeks deepened as Pix’s smile spread. This synish lady had good taste.
” By the way Pix do remember to watch what you bite or you get your little minions to bite.”
“So testing on people here is probably out of the question.” She mumbled. “darn” She addressed Hades again with her normal tone. “Don’t worry. It’s been two months since I’ve bitten myself, well… seven weeks, 4 days, 23 hours, and 47 minutes, but yeah. About two months.”
She turned and admired the room full of weaponry for the few seconds that the was open. Then the room had closed but at least she could admire the ones carried in on the tray and what was carrying them in.
“Why didn’t you tell her to be careful about who she was pointing those things at?” Ok saying that they were stupidly sharp was a similar way but the difference in the warnings was something she took odd interest in.
(I’m sorry my synish friend but I cannot resist. I’ll delete this post if you ask me to.)
Pix was examining her things when another woman entered the room, with hair almost, half way, as stylish as Pix’s neon blue pig tails. Petunia raised an eye brow and glanced at her from the corner of her eye with those bright Green eyes. Petunia blinked and pretended not to notice the new lady as she let her eyes focus back on that new giant dragon fly. It was a beauty after all. And those new things with stingers. She tried to remember how many different types of venom she would now be able to produce. Petunia really should catalogue that for Pix, herself, sometime.
Mean while two flies left the back of Petunia’s hand and circled the new lady. Buzzing by her ear maybe once and then of course in front of Syn’s eyes. One might of looked like it was giving Syn a little solute as it hovered in front of her face for a split second.
Pix held her hand out for the little flies and they each landed on her palm. Mean while the large dragon fly, no longer the most interesting thing in the room, moved obediently to the back of Pix’s head where it sat like a giant gaudy hair bow. This left Pix’s other hand free so that she could point at her other little friends. “My buddies here think you smell good.” Pix told the other lady.
Well there wasn't much that pix really ever focused on. This ability was a curse and a blessing at the same time. Since she hardly ever focused she had a hard time keeping her mind on her flight path and rather found the movement of this odd shadow on the ground interesting the way it rolled across the ground. Oh there he was. So off she went to follow.
Pix pulled up next to Ayesac's head, near his ear. "Hey there."
Her bugs had turned to stay close to the wall and low to the ground.
Once past Kami, issuing her warning of the next corner, she darted a head of him, guiding her army just behind her and she was running on her own. Around the next corner she uses a set of mosquitoes to take out the three guards vision, because no one can concentrate when bugs are trying to drink from their eyes. What happened to those men after that wasn’t her concern. She had two objectives at the moment. To mark the stalkers, and to make her delivery.
On her way she manipulated her insects to bump into the stalkers to mark them with the stuff that Hades had given her. He told her she would be assisting someone named Shogun this way and anyone wearing UV scopes.
(My next post will be Here Pix will be returning to this thread shortly if someone has use of her.)
Alright, so It wasn’t hard to see a swarm of bugs, consisting of large prehistoric dragon flies, small normal dragon flies, wasps, mosquitoes, and horse flies, carrying two guns and a sack. Pix was currently a small dragon fly hidden, and protected, in her army. On her way she used individual bugs to distract different guards, mostly messing with their eyes as she flew by. She also marked the stalkers with the stuff that Hades had given her. A few of her insects she had used to mark them had been squished, or sliced, but that is what minions were for and for the most part, her army was still intact.
So now. Where was she supposed to be meeting the big red guy? Not the one who was many big red guys, but they one with the wings and teeth.
Pix, sensing the new insects suddenly move in their canisters, quickly snatched them up and opened them. Pausing particularly long at the large dragon fly insect, as the beautiful long wings hummed into silent action circling her shoulders. She held out her hand motioning to the canisters and obidiently the insects released the rest and they fetched her toys, touching them first before her hands as she lifted them. A small army of horse flies grasped the two guns and spun them in the air, turning them this way and that as Petunia carefully inspected them.
"I think I've got it." Petunia grinned and her tight cheeks creased with the shining reflections of her eyes. Marveling first at her new little friends, then the acceseries that came with them. "They'll have to care these things for me." She said more to herself as she turned her attention back to the dragon fly, marveling at it' posible strength and grace.
To anyone riding in the same transportation as Petunia, they might have been just a little uncomfortable. The entire trip there she had been building her insect forces so that once in the heat of action, she wouldn’t have to worry about getting big right away in order to make more.
What could be seen of her skin literally crawled into little, icky, stinging, with wings, Moths that as large as three inches long, moths with elaborate markings on their large wings, dragon flies as decoys, and mosquitoes. To cut down on space, as the insects crawled from her skin, she basically manipulated them into a large pile of insects. Sort of like the man with a beard of bees only much bigger. Large enough to cover a man or two.
The stopped and like someone starting a race, Pix was out the door of the vehicle, in mid run her wings took over and then in the air, she transformed into a common dragonfly. Her swarm of insects followed like a giant wave. It took a couple hundred horse flies to pick up her issued equipment from Hades, and she hoped there were enough extra little mandibles should she loose a slave or two hundred on the way.
Her swarm of insects followed the first one through the fence, Kami, and she took a different path over the top to get a better angle on the upcoming situation. A second later she was back at the head of her swarm passing by Kami’s ear. “Three guards coming around the next corner to the left.” Came her high pitched, helium sucking, like voice in Kami’s ear as she reported what she saw over the fence.
If anyone is interesting in following Pix’s story line, here is a list of her threads that she has been in
Pix was introduced in the middle of the registration act plot.
Happy Meal Despite the title no one eats anything. But Pix does find a snow shoe hare that had the ability to emit electricity and become the size of a bucking tiger. They two faught with flower power and bity itchy goodness. Somehow from there, though Pix really doesn’t know nor care how it worked, she became a part of the resistance.
Tick Tock Petunia runs into Gore on the streets and makes him make crunchy music by stomping on her bugs.
Being Bugged Petunia’s fun on the street is halted by the flying masked hero in a super suit Redemption. Here redemption tries to talk her out of her evil fun loving, human hurting ways. Will his message stick? I have no idea yet.
THE ARMOURY Petunia meets Hades to receive her weapons for the raid on the registration camps.
Stage 2 of Escape Pix manages to make more than just her enemies uncomfortable as she prepares her troops for battle.
Coffee Buzz The true beverage of choice is revealed.
The Tabloids
Pix has chosen a secret career that she can work on with the cover of having her first job with the community at the New York City Zoo. And what a fun job this one is.
Nods with Onyx. It depends on a few other characters if Pix will be darting back and forth and to whom. Originally I planned to do this with Ayesac. *Grins* We'll play it by ear.
Yes Pix had gotten the message about weapons, even though she was very new to the resistance. She hadn’t even really been looking for a resistance. It just sort of happened on day that she came across a talking snow shoe hare with, with the ability to electrocute someone and grow to the size of a tiger, and well, somehow ever that she was part of the resistance. Momma always said never follow white rabbits. Petunia had yet to decide if it was a good thing she never listened to momma’s advise or not.
So here she was, walking with the sharp clicks of her heals echoing down the hall, to get a new set of toys. She was dressed in her normal cloths, A shor skirt with thick striped leggings, boots, and a long coat covered her loose tank top with her long dragonfly wings poking out and resting, folded, against her back. Her hair was in two pig tails with neon blue die at the ends.
She entered the room, her steps never slowing or changing in rhythm till she decided to halt about five respectable feet away from the counter. “I got the message. So where’s the toys?”
